@CFCOH ..They don't. They need 3 wheels to be stable on the ground. Gliders are really fragile.

+1Thus us Weight Airways. There are a number of flaws with the 13-B that have caused us to shy away. One, is the high operation cost.
Another is a high risk of stalling due to the air brakes. The only plus is the control surfaces being fixed.
