@kumoroha165 I'd love to help out with the flight models to make it feels atleast somewhat better than this. I'm not Guyfolk, but just might be able to slap on some PitchRate and GForce limitors on this thing. I'm also patient enough to make a decent looking cockpit interior so let me know if you have any future projects you're working on that has those requirements because I quite enjoy making cockpits!
@YarisSedan yeah but these aren't issues, they are improvements xD
Point being I want to keep the completed post itself and the stuff that came as a result of the completed post separate to show that I'm willing to work and improve even after thinking I've already done my best (which I don't upload unless I've done my best)
@Noname918181818181818181 it's a common theme with me. I want to force wierd designs but make them work in IRL ways. It's unfortunately why Thomas has his work cut out disciplining me 💀
But thank you!
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense for only the original one to have the stepped aft. It was a cheap plane, but a nice one. I guess that could be the design trademark for the alper, because even with the changes I made to the updated one after taking criticism on this still has a bit of an odd stepped rear.
@YarisSedan I just did so... but felt like I don't want people to download these as the original. I'll keep the xml download for that as is and let these be their own separate additions to the original post.
@ThomasRoderick You come up with an excuse for it because I have no practical reason to give you other than "I wanted to keep that design from the original"
And no, this isn't the final alper like I've told you like 10 times and yes, I will make a more realistic one that can actually fly IRL.
@Solent19 ah. I see. I'll see if I can correct it or something.
I placed it far back because I do want the pilot to actually put their legs somewhere... So...
@Solent19 trust me when I say I tried absolutely everything I could with the drag here. I XML modded basically the entirety of this thing thing. Put it simply, the only workable alternative is just use a single block to simulate the overall drag coeff. I didn't do that or try to go too low with dragScale numbers because I still wanted some semblance of ... You know... Simulation.
But I hear you, and I will work to improve that aspect. As for the stick, that's mostly a practical decision. I originally wanted a yolk, but space very quickly became a valuable possesion. Hence why I went with this
The cockpit camera... Shoot I was supposed to disable it. That is fully on me... My bad on that!
@hpgbproductions thank you for the criticism! Always lovely to hear it. As for the instrument panels, I agree. It should be bigger, but I was too far in to have to pull out. Funnily enough, this wasn't even as big as it is. Yes, I was going to be more cramped than this already is, but you'll notice how I managed to save it by scaling the entire thing.
The dark blue sections being disjointed is also something I can see why you'd be bugged by it. Is it that big of a deal though? Or is it a nitpick in comparison to the rest of the design?
As for the step tail, that's just part of the Alper. I atleast can't make the OG alper without that weirdness. I've already thought about it and had discussions too, and I think a bigger version of this without that weirdness might be a future plan to look into to build.
Just tagging people who showed interest. Wanted to know what you think so far. And yes, it does have an actually working start up procedure, but you won't even have to perform it to go, making it AI Friendly. For those wondering, 618 parts and the the perfomance cost is 3000.
@YarisSedan I don't think the main fuselage needs to go any bigger. I can just raise the seats a little to accomodate for the leg room and cramp it up a little more and you'll have an 8 seater regional prop.
@YarisSedan I will have to rework the central fuselage but it might be doable in a foreseeable future.
Also, it's nice to know it does give off a luxury vibe. I was worried it wouldn't lol
I should hopefully complete the cockpit tomorrow if I crunch.
It's a good thing I actually enjoy doing cockpit work or this would have been a nightmare. Worst part is I'm already living one and this is working as a temporary escapism xD
@ReynaldoIndustries I worked on the landing gear so that it's better optimized now. THAT SAID, you'd still end up slammping the nose gear down because of the brakes unless you're a pro Pilot

@YarisSedan You have to click on the image btw, still, here it is.
The one with the non luxury stuff
@YarisSedan wait... Which one? The cabin non-luxury cabin?
@YarisSedan yeah but these aren't issues, they are improvements xD

@YarisSedan I'm curious, what did you use it for?

Hey, it's me, greggory. How you doing?
@YarisSedan I just did so... but felt like I don't want people to download these as the original. I'll keep the xml download for that as is and let these be their own separate additions to the original post.
After all, this is a response in a way.
@YarisSedan i don't actually know how that works xD
I made a few updates. Also, reduced parts version... CLICK!
@YarisSedan I believe it was you who wanted the non luxury regional seater, no?
oooo I like the coloring palette you used.
I made the two tone a little more noticably well flowing which you can check out by clicking this blue stuff
@CatBird Thank you!
@dabestsock xD I don't necessarily intend to, but thanks for the kind wishes!
@TheMouse thank you man! Appreciate it!

@Boeing727200F my bad. I went to sleep xD

@Solent19 also, let me know what you think about the plane. How she handles and such...
@Rb2h that's a surprise. Even to me. I didn't think it'd be that high.

reminds me of @otana 's stuff. Pretty cool!
