    ARGHHHHHHHHH frick it early post for everyone even though it's late as heck. All tags are from teasers (Which I'll be deleting soon)

  • FINAL TEASER FOR THE ALPER 7 months ago

    Just tagging people who showed interest. Wanted to know what you think so far. And yes, it does have an actually working start up procedure, but you won't even have to perform it to go, making it AI Friendly. For those wondering, 618 parts and the the perfomance cost is 3000.

    @ThomasRoderick I 100% agree.
    You can't make those designs though If you don't go through the development arc I had. You have to admit that some other hypersonic SSTO designs, though perfectly functional, look crappy.

    That new echostar is form after function, but it does also have the form in mind, that is why the whole folding wings. That is NOT a conventional design choice for hypersonics. It wasn't a result of entirely just "Make the best possible version in terms of IRL physics", It was more "How can we make this near impossible to work IRL plane into something genuinely plausible". The twin booms and forward swept wings are still a part of it, and reason why it looks so... NICE. let's say. Still though, thanks for forcing some more realism into my designs!

  • Alper Cabin Completed 7 months ago

    @ThomasRoderick which does make them timeless in a way. Also, the final Echostar we decided on is 100% going to be a timeless design.

    Also when I say timeless, I mean to say only in terms of how they look. Not the functionality.

    @SouthJetLinhasAereas you're welcome :D

  • Alper Cabin Completed 7 months ago

    @Solent19 I pride myself on making smooth, near timeless looking designs. @ThomasRoderick (someone I very often ask for opinions) would agree too. He knows how much I like to overdo the beauty over functionality 💀

    It has been getting better with the newer stuff I make though, the form follows function ideaology.
    Simply put, try making each of your fuselage pieces purposeful to a sort of... "Flow". One piece transitions to another.

  • Alper Cabin Completed 7 months ago

    @YarisSedan I don't think the main fuselage needs to go any bigger. I can just raise the seats a little to accomodate for the leg room and cramp it up a little more and you'll have an 8 seater regional prop.

  • Airbus A320neo SouthJet 7 months ago

    Woah. The body work on this is lovely.

  • Alper Cabin Completed 7 months ago

    @YarisSedan I will have to rework the central fuselage but it might be doable in a foreseeable future.
    Also, it's nice to know it does give off a luxury vibe. I was worried it wouldn't lol

    I should hopefully complete the cockpit tomorrow if I crunch.
    It's a good thing I actually enjoy doing cockpit work or this would have been a nightmare. Worst part is I'm already living one and this is working as a temporary escapism xD

  • The brand new ALPER 7 months ago

    @YarisSedan Im working on it hard as we speak. The landing gear is done, some other mechanisms are done as well. I'm just making sure it's all working well right now, then Ill move to do the interiors and such... and if the difficulties that i'm facing IRL don't persist, then I may be able to push it out tomorrow. That said, my mental headspace isn't at it's best right now so let's see.

    @YarisSedan This one will be permanent tho. I really like it. Thanks for the upvote!

  • The brand new ALPER 7 months ago

    @ReynaldoIndustries I worked on the landing gear so that it's better optimized now. THAT SAID, you'd still end up slammping the nose gear down because of the brakes unless you're a pro Pilot

    Man I'm so pissed
    This is my 2nd attempt and once again the timings here aren't right.
    But you see, they were in the editing software I used.
    It's just a nitpick, but I hate it it when that happens
    Wish I had better non laggy stuff or atleast more stable software for this stuff man.

  • [Propeller Executive] The Alper, beauty meets comfort 8 months ago

    @Solent19 💀
    So two things. One, it's good to know that the Echostar is actually building into a brand and people see it as a complex build
    2, yeah. The Echostar has been my one and only high ranking craft that I'll make. It's now become sort of a unifying symbol of all the best builders on SP. I'm not one, but I was fortunate enough to have my design catch the eyes of some or just coincidentally happened to be allowed to use something they invented.

  • [Propeller Executive] The Alper, beauty meets comfort 8 months ago

    @Solent19 it'll be decent. Look at this for a reference point.

  • What if: Jundroo added a GIF pfps for SP users? 8 months ago

    @DC10AirTanker914 They could work, but there is a concern beyond who'll host it. The immense amount of GIFS would probably tank the perfomance, not of the server side, but client side.
    In simple words, the site would take longer to load up than usual... that is if your browser doesn't crash while loading that many GIFS.
    Besides, I don't think there is an innate need for GIFS. I'd much rather users take time to take a single good shot from something instead of having to run a video.
