@ThatKindaWeeb those ones are a little low-res. I actually did find a high-res atd-x but the main issue is there is not a lot of consistency between images, so its hard to choose which one to use. I think i might do this after my current project since I'll have some more practice with paneling. (As long as college doesnt get in the way, of course)
@ThatKindaWeeb Well I was thinking about doing an X-2 Shinshin and then converting it into a "artist's depiction" of an F-3. In particular, I need a front, top, and side view at a minimum and at a high(ish) resolution.
@ThatKindaWeeb I can't find good blueprints of it so no, unfortunately. But I am working on some other planes (The names of which are not to be disclosed yet)
Although, the idea is not completely off the table yet
@IshiMoss Hmmm... I was thinking more of a unit of distance. (Technically, circumference is measured in distance units, so I guess that still technically works)
Also, just realized the implications of putting bananas in the SI system with regards to conversions. Microbanana, centibanana, kilobanana, megabanana,...
@ThatKindaWeeb Hmmm... A lot of the way I build comes from how I used to build back then but I can offer a couple guidelines:
- I don't do canopy lines because A) laziness and B) I'm going for a simplistic look
- I use default wings for the same reason
- A trick for default wings is to resize it to 1,.5,.5 (or smaller) to get it more precise; just remember the game calculates its lift as if it were normal size, so don't resize too small or else you get too much lift
- If wings are EXTRA THICC, I use fuselage and angled default wings
- I used to use default landing gear but now I use custom
- I use blueprints and go for 1:1 scale, although I'm not focused on 100% correct dimensions
- I only use smoothing on "glass" and nosecones because 'i'm weird'
- I use default parts as details to save parts (i.e. my launch rails are resized pylons, I use default airbrakes sometimes)
- I put hidden airbrakes that use |Gforce| (|Pitch| on older planes) so they don't turn at 1000 km/h.
- Fuselage cones are your best friend (You can paint 2 colors and adjust size of color)
- If elevators are a weird shape, I use a custom control surface made of default wings (Most WW2 planes)
- For asymmetrical features (i.e. offset gun), I set drag and mass to 0 so the plane doesn't roll on its own (Not always perfect)
Protip: 1 SP fuselage unit = 2 meters
@ThatKindaWeeb no problem! I'll try it, but its gonna be hard with the small amount of reference images compared to other planes. Plus, college is gonna get in the way :/ so it will be a long while
@NSNArcade2 To be fair, I made that before I started doing semi realistic turn rates on my jets. :p Plus, on the newer jets, I have airbrakes linked to pitch or G force, which is why I am barely getting past 600 km/h while turning in the video.
@GuyFolk Interesting... I guess that's why I get the best results when I drag him down to a lower altitude where I can do that trick.
Awesome job on the AI btw, I can tell you put a lot of consideration into making the fight difficult, but not impossible.
If he had MPBM's, I'd be dead 100% of the time. Although maybe you could balance them by having them set to a 3km minRange and a 10 second lockTime to give the player an incentive to stay close to Pixy or get MPBM sniped. (Granted, that would make BVR basically impossible, but I don't think thats what this boss is for)

@PhantomAviator Cavendish bananas in particular (The typical banana you see in stores) may go extinct
@MetalManiac54 ah makes sense. I just used 7 because this particular specimen is about 7 inches. Bananas per second mod sounds cool btw
Cartoon logic irl
+11 mile/hour(1 inch/1.578*10^-5 mile)(1 banana/7 inch)(1 hour/3600 sec)=2.5147 bananas/second @MetalManiac54 maybe i made a mistake idk :v

+1@Kipo Oh, technically there are no conventional bombs in any of these, but the Paveway IVs are guided bombs
@Kipo All the ones except alt.config.1 are fit for ground attack and there isnt necessarily a main one. It just depends on what weapons you want
@ThatKindaWeeb Well it's based off my name so I don't mind :v

+1@UltraLight @EngineerOtaku that's interesting. I just assumed it had something to do with g force because the inlets move down when the plane turns.
