It’s actually an illusion. If you look closely, you can actually see that there is no reflection at the bottom of the cockpit glass when it’s near the ground. It only happens on the top of the inside of the cockpit. It is actually a xml high gloss paint. You can see the Wright Isle in the top inside of the cockpit, which is a common reoccurrence in these high gloss paint. @toxicgamer88
Being honest with you. I just really wanted to nail the airframe, making sure it was possible, functional, and if people like it. With my next build, I will follow the actual specs for it. Also, this A-20 is almost 2:1. @ChiChiWerx
This whole thing was an experiment. I wanted to see three things when it came to airframes in SimplePlanes.
How does the community react to it.
How feasible is it and will it work.
Can I actually manage to pull it off.
I also wanted to see what will work and not work. So now, my next airframe project it the Super Sabre, then the community will decide the next aircraft by voting. @ChiChiWerx
Sadly, I am stuck on iOS on my iPhone. In all honesty, this was really a test run of my true plans. I can explain it in more depths if you want me too. @ChiChiWerx
Oh yes, I built the entire airframe of a WW2 bomber on iOS with a complete interior and airframe, which is something that has only be attempted before by a SP community member, but I forgot to make the fuel realistic. Know what, I’ll tell you this. I have spent over 75 hours on this project. I have adjusted every single part in this build with the nudge tool on 1 so it would be perfect. Fuel is one of my smallest concerns. I’m sorry the fuel is unrealistic and that you are unable to see the picture as a whole. With the a near exact airframe, that was my least concern. So, I challenge you to build an exact airframe of the A-20 Havoc better than this. You cannot use this one and must start completely from scratch. You can not use any saved parts from previous builds and must ask others for xml parts. After that, you can come here and complain about a choice I purposely made.
Thank you for all your hard work and help with build. You too xml modders who supplied the parts I needed. And to you all who have supported me. Without you, I would be nothing.
Thank you all who followed along and help with the builds. Special thanks to @blackboa with his help with the turret, @planeboy3 with his help with the yoke, and all those who helped me with xml parts!
@BlackhattAircraft To be honest, I forgot what variant I was making a while back. I’m pretty sure it was the attack variant, but it probably changed over time.
Heya, I’m sorry to inform you but the discord link has expired. I was trying to join to request a shrunk down small rotor. It should be able to fit on the face of a block that is 0.3 wide and 0.2 thick.
Also, I am not using a blueprint. I am guess you could say I’m eye balling it because I’m using a picture of the complete airframe (Since I’m on iPhone).
The actual airframe does, but the wing skin does not. I spent a full 20 hours on the wing skin to get it to where it is now. Also, the whole thing has been scaled up so I can add more detail, but it follows the airframe model. @WarHawk95
@dinoairplane Sorry for the double mentions today. I am mentioning you to tell you that this will be the version I want to compete in your challenge. It has been fixed for better performance.
You may have noticed this thing likes to turn when taking off. It does turn to the right then to the left. This is intentional. It is also why I called it the specter, because for the longest time I couldn’t figure out why it would turn to the right.
Epic
+2Looks amazing
This looks pretty neat, can you tag me when it's complete?
Those curves, how? They are so well done.
@Suica Im on iOS, so I don't know. I'm sorry to assume you used XML for the paint. My bad. I see it done a lot and assume that you did too.
The fact there is more upvotes then downloads shows you how much of a masterpiece this build is. Amazing job.
+1First, also, congrats

@SwissCheeseAviation Yes, till the 31st of November
This was a fun aircraft to fly.
Looks nice, keep up the good work.
Alright bet! But I have a question, is the 150-400 the part limit?

My long term goals are to get better at building airframes because that area is widely unpopulated. @Mercyaircraftcorporation

Hello @Notnoob1000, I’m Mercy Aircraft Corporation.
Have you tried hitting it?

Also, poll will close on the 15th of November.
Nice. @Operationalsupremacy
 @MarinoYeet
+2Ladies and gentlemen, we got them
Also, where is my IOS gang?
Thank you @MrPorg137
Thank you all who followed along and help with the builds. Special thanks to @blackboa with his help with the turret, @planeboy3 with his help with the yoke, and all those who helped me with xml parts!
I am speed @Lahoski107
Thank you so much! @RAAF

Thank you for being honest. It is hard to find people like that these days. Great work on improving it.
Yes, it matches the blueprints but is not 1:1. I scaled up so I can make it a bit easier to add details. @WarHawk95

+1It’s currently at exactly 700 @RAAF
Airframe images=Unlimited power @MrPorg137
Okay then @BlackBoA
Those silver things in the wing are fuel tanks
Can I modify an original post, but change it so it is a new variant?
Yes, I need it for testing and other reasons. @KatyushaTheDuckProtector
Ah yes, we fly together, we go down together comrade.
Thank you. I’m currently working on my thank you for silver. It’s an A-20 Havoc with a complete airframe and interior. @methirasoysa123
I know, I was asking the person who decided to post this without giving credit. @Killjoy876

@Dinoairplanes
Is this an original build?
Thank you so much for using my aircraft. Nice flying also.

Thank you so much, I was looking for something like this for so long
