Bug: You can't move a cylinder grip. Even on a basic setup with a default control base, and a default cylinder grip, I can't move it. I placed a joystick on top of the cylinder grip, and that works (moving the whole setup on the joystick base).
@AndrewGarrison
Even I made some garbage planes. My first few years of planes (before discovering the website) were a bunch of engines, wings, blocks, and wheels, mirrored together. I think only one of them ever flew. Now, I make amazing planes and write advanced code for complicated systems.
Where's the bug report form?
.
Bug list I have (non-exhaustive)
- I cannot click and drag a custom throttle using a control base and a cylinder grip.
- When adding a tooltip to a yoke, the tooltip is displayed when the mouse cursor is on the left side, and "Pitch Roll" is displayed as the tooltip when the mouse cursor is on the right side.
- (Bug from previous update) When damage is taken, and the damage is shown using F11, any button/switch (and now the new selectable parts) highlighted since this is permanently highlighted. Hiding and showing damage again does not clear the highlighted parts. This video shows most of the bugs
Hi, I think I have some missing mods.
.
A while ago (before you removed your mods) I started an archive project to keep a copy of every mod ever created (well at least most, I can't keep going back in time.) Here is a screenshot of the mods you created that I have. I can upload them to google drive so you can copy them, if you'd like.
Very nice! I would recommend having some cameras at the back of the wing (one forward and one at the back, so two wing cameras total
), using a control grip and other VR parts in the cockpit, and changing the cockpit cameras to not have auto centre. Other then that, it's a nice plane!
Just putting it here - about the user who copied this plane, it got removed, but this is the comment I wrote:
.
He modified nothing. He's reuploaded my SWL-10 twice, each time having like two small parts removed and nothing really changed. I reported the first time, it was removed, and he did it again a few hours later. I'm reporting him.
I have a question about 2x point bonus thing. What happens when it ends? Do you lose points you got from the bonus? Do you continue to get a 2x bonus on the plane you had the bonus on? Or is it where you keep points, but the bonus doesn't affect new upvotes?
@MrShenanigans Well first I have the engine output its thrust to a variable, and then have the input for that engine also be a variable, and then I compare the input to thrust. If the input is greater than the thrust, then have a label do a boolean selector. And do some math to the input or thrust to get some numbers. It's complicated to explain in a comment, but maybe I'll make a tutorial.
SimplePlanes accounts are not tied to game purchases. If you buy the game through Steam you have access to it on any Windows or Mac device. I don't know how android or iOS work but you will have to purchase the game on Steam to use it on your PC.
Hi,
This is another amazing mod which has become slightly outdated. The sound is excellent, and I have used these on my SWL-120, but the fuel dial is broken (100% or 0%), and the paint is also slightly broken. I'd also love for these to output to variables, similar to the in game engines. It's just that nothing in game matches the engine sound in these, and they are slightly becoming out-of-date.
Appreciate anything you can do.
@SnoWFLakE0s I do think SP needs some way of making 'variable subassemblies'. I am building my new plane, the SWL-120, in different files for reasons (engines, fuselage, nose, cockpit interior, landing gear, etc, and I keep copying variables across using a text editor, which isn't easily available on iOS and Android.
The core of my Radio Selection works similarly to this. I have so many, I edit the variable by having the plane's xml file open in a text editor. Whenever I have a value were I can increase and decrease that value (variable) using buttons, I have a variables list similar to this.
.
TL;DR We developed similar code independently of each other.
I just tested it at Wright, and it's pretty good! I will say the glideslope is shallow, so I'd recommend changing that to be a bit bigger (5 degrees maybe). I'm not at home right now so I can't fully test it. I would also like to use a slightly modified version of this in my SWL-120.
Nice timelapse! Fuselage slicing is so useful. I made an airliner fuselage with seats in like 14 parts for the fuselage and 5 parts per seat. Still working on being even more efficient.
.
Make sure you turn on fuselage smoothing. It causes no performance impact and makes the fuselage extra smooth.

@ExpMC It's limited to 5000 performance cost, not a specific part count.

+1@IceCraftGaming Possibly
+1JUST GET IN THE ** PLACE

The nudge and part connections tools are your friends.
Question - would you be able to provide that waypoint system by itself? I would like it for the SWL-120. Credit will be given, of course.
+1Good god this is insane, SimplePlanes needs more detailed cockpits.
+1Now this is a cockpit.
+1Reusable parachutes... just like SimpleRockets2
+1Just amazing
+1Oh my god this is huge...
+1S M O O T H
+1@T8flightcrafts Thanks!
+1Very nice!
+1Nice car, however controls need to be given in the description.
+1This is similar to mine
+1The specs of course, I haven't built a pc in SimplePlanes.

+1@X99STRIKER I believe I am
+1@BeastHunter lol
+1This looks, functions, and has the same code as PlanariaLab's HUD.
+1@IceCraftGaming I'm making a Let's Play on it this Sunday.
+1Errr... The images aren't showing up
+1@LarryTad Yeah sure it could probably be considered a testbed or something... literally a long/short tube with wings and random engines.
+1@LarryTad What do you mean?
+1Haha I can see the link before I click
+1@KingHandspider Pretty good, the actual engine is just about done, I am going to make a post in a few days.

@vonhubert That's okay, just make sure you give credit.
The ILS is just about done, I'm releasing a video on it this Sunday, so stay tuned!
+1@vonhubert Thanks!
+1@BeastHunter Go to SimplePlanes in the steam library, click on properties, and select betas, then select public test.
+1@BeastHunter I just checked the beta, no new parts.
+1If you use smooth(x, 1), make sure the piston's speed is set to a high value like 200% or higher.
+1I challenge you to make this function like a real one.
+1@bruhmoment99 A lot of coding. This video gives a basic explanation
I'll post more information later.
+1@Kakhikotchauri1 Yes, this package is from the 1.11 SimplePlanes game directory. (PC)
