  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

@Flightsonic Also, I fixed the "AI flies up continuously for no apparent reason", thanks for reporting it.

  • More 1.5 beta bugs! 8.8 years ago

I don't think this is a new issue, but I've logged it, thanks.

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

@Flightsonic Ok, I was able to reproduce this with the current Steam version. I had inadvertently fixed this bug while addressing something else, so I wasn't able to repro it in my local copy :)

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

@Flightsonic Hmm, I can't seem to reproduce that. So, you are saying if you use the keys for VTOL, it will affect the AI as well?

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

@Flightsonic The AI will not actually be aggressive regardless of selection when you pick a Final Approach landing location. You can see the targeting box on 'em is blue, indicating they are friendly.

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

"Most AI planes crash on Finals approach"
This unfortunately won't be improved this update. The AI can't land planes well that need a lot of throttle to land. If you need more than
about 30% throttle to land, then the AI will have trouble landing them as well.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@AwesomeDesign717 @Toast Why would you need to use one...can you not access the apple store in China?

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

    @AmerigoB

"AI spawned on ground retract landing gear and crash"

Can you give a location/aircraft which demonstrates this?

  • Bug Report for 1.5.0.0 8.8 years ago

    @Hyperloop

"The autopilot gets some rolling issue while the airspeed is above 500mph. The plane rolls by itself and cant stop it with the autopilot on. It is not as stable as the older version..."

This should not have changed...I'm not seeing the issue. I know that it can happen somewhat if you engage autopilot while going fast and doing a high-g maneuver, but If you could give a plane and reproduction steps, that would be helpful.

  • devs may have found bug in beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@AwesomeDesign717 I've made changes to allow for Pitch/VTOL to be used for throttle, and Yaw as turning for designs which have a car engine active w/o an activation group by the AI.

That should fix these issues. It has not been pushed to Steam though.

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

    @Flightsonic
"Aggressive AI planes do not attack"

I cannot reproduce this...can you give me the planes/steps to repro?

  • Beta 1.5 Bugs 8.8 years ago

    @Flightsonic

"AI flies up continuously for no apparent reason"

Can you give some steps to reproduce this?

  • Jungden 8.8 years ago

Cool, what program did you use to edit the obj?

  • devs may have found bug in beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

So, the cars use the throttle input for throttle. They will act strange if the engines are setup to use Pitch as the throttle input.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@marcox43 We are looking into ways to make the AI throttle have more customization, but we don't have any specific plans...I know it is annoying though.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@Gmanndo1000 There is a convoy on Yeager, which is on mobile.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@Typhlosion130 The new tires function the same as the other off-road tires as far as performance.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@marcox43 The cars run full-throttle, just like Airplanes when the AI is controlling them...it does make it more challenging to optimize them for a specific track.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@Dimkal So, after you updated the mouse-wheel didn't work for zooming...you had to change it in the control settings?

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@InternationalAircraftCompany If we had a single-blade prop we'd have to add a counter-weight to make it work, and I don't really see the benefit. Do you just want it for the novelty of it?

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@BaconEggs The problem with using Steam Wallet is that the purchase is not a "Steam" purchase, it is handled via www.Stripe.com between Stripe and Eucl3D...as far as I know, Steam wallet can only be used for Steam purchases.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.8 years ago

@Engineeroftomorrow The beta is only on Steam, but it will of course come to GOG.com when the final version is released.

  • What Happened? 8.8 years ago

As Gestour said, the web update which has Eucl3D will coincide with the next SimplePlanes update, which should be ready pretty soon.

  • Something seems a bit out of place. 8.8 years ago

@HakkeAirTech Are you running the Samsung "GameTuner" app?

  • Something seems a bit out of place. 8.8 years ago

Haha, maybe...but maybe b/c the water is...not right...what device are you using?

  • I need some help! 8.8 years ago

Yeah, the order didn't go through, I'm not sure why though.

  • WHY..... 8.8 years ago

Dude, stop posting this stuff, you will be permanently banned...ip banned...you will not be able to make other accounts.

  • Why @Zed... 8.8 years ago

Do no make "negative" posts directed at a specific person.

  • Insanely weird physics... 8.8 years ago

I think he meant a link to the plane.

  • Extra EA-300 8.8 years ago

    Really good flier.

  • Howitzer (full semi-auto) V1.0 8.8 years ago

This is super fun to use, and works/looks amazing. I tried a bunch of times to hit the destroyer and almost did, but haven't quite done it just yet.

  • My 3D print has finally arrived! Pictures, info and extras! So small, so cool! X-93 silver battle axe. 8.8 years ago

@Ngoat Awesome. I agree. I was kinda surprised how cool is was when I bought the P-51 I made (yes I had to pay retail price)...even though it isn't that special of a design...it was mine, and so was pretty neat to get.

  • My 3D print has finally arrived! Pictures, info and extras! So small, so cool! X-93 silver battle axe. 8.8 years ago

@Ngoat Looks great, I'm happy that you like it.

Regarding the price, this must be international, and also not USD. Smalls are $32.99 USD...($29.00 + $3.99 shipping domestic). It is $19 for international shipping, so it would be $48USD.

  • Some things that I would like to see in the distant future of SimplePlanes: 8.8 years ago

Nice ideas. Add unique ones to the SimplePlanes Uservoice.

Please though, only one suggestion per submission. Ones with a bunch of ideas in them don't mean nearly as much to us even if they have a bunch of upvotes b/c we don't really know which suggestion may have prompted people to vote.

We look at Uservoice before starting any new content/feature update. Some of the suggestions on there have already been implemented I just noticed, we need to do a bit of cleanup.

  • UPVOTE FROM A DEV!!!! 8.9 years ago

@UnknownNate Man, not even as good as a gold? I have gold ranking! ...sobs

@jfriss I liked it b/c I saw you link to it from a YT video about SimplePlanes and I thought it looked great...a bit lacking on elevator control would be my only feedback.

  • Final Entry Boeing 747-400 8.9 years ago

    @jfriss You're welcome :)

  • fighter jet xl 8.9 years ago

Looks great, and flies extremely well.

  • Advanced Cockpit (Glass Canopy) 8.9 years ago

    Wow, this is amazing.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@BrodieB It is currently only available on Steam/GoG.

@FullFruntall They certainly won't be suitable for RC. If they were bigger, you could use 'em to create a removeable latex mold and fill with foam, but I think they're just too small even for that to work well.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@ramjet Hmm, I'm guessing if you exit and go back in it will show up. Don't know why that would happen though.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@WillB88 If you are on Mac with Steam/GoG, then yes. The update has not made it to the Mac App Store yet though.

  • FS-83 ''Symmetry'' 8.9 years ago

@Flightsonic Good point regarding trim. Excellent design :)

  • FS-83 ''Symmetry'' 8.9 years ago

Handling doesn't get much better than this aside from the tendency to pull up at max throttle.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

To @Seabo14 and all who have asked. We don't generate an stl file, Eucl3D dooes that (and manually adjusts the model for optimal printing).

We may at some point add the ability to export obj/material files for you to use for various purposes though.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@MediocrePlanes I believe we have forgotten to include the option to do that...please forgive us :)

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@Flyingtacos Not without modding the game in some way to export the models.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@ChasingHorizon We'll ask them about that. Thank you.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

@TheAwesomeOcelot Yes. Eucl3D tries their best to match the print as closely as possible to the original model...color and all.

They may need to make some parts "fatter" for structrual integrity, but they do their best to print it as close as possible within the capabilities of the printing technology.

  • 3D Print Your Planes 8.9 years ago

The sizes are an approximation. Prints are ultimately sized based on the volume of material required to print.

Check this out for more info on how the same "size" may end up differing in the final print based on the volume of the model.
