I think I'll just use my PAK FA. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/gKW2Sl/Sukhoi-PAK-FA-T-50Now-with-full-moving-tailplane

  • Bigfoot F150(Beta) 10.1 years ago

I did that with my ratte, I got likes on Reddit but not much else........

  • Gloster Javelin by SR 10.1 years ago

I'm hoping I'll make something soon, a larger version of my current PAK FA design, which will be similar in scale to your aircraft.

  • Gloster Javelin by SR 10.1 years ago

Awesome aircraft, hope you post more. Sorry if I can't watch your vid yet, but I know it'll be good :) .

  • Ultimate Control 10.1 years ago

    It's ok.

  • Sukhoi PAK FA T-50(Now with full moving tailplane) 10.1 years ago

Meh, I needed to make a bigger model for the details anyway@Allstarship

  • Ultimate Control 10.1 years ago

Really? It wasn't that it's bad, it's just my own personal opinion. I only took out the 1 star because of the tendency to fall apart if using two or more control surfaces. I like using two control surfaces at once, it allows better control, and helps with getting out of a stall. Plus, it allows you to enter turn faster. @Gg1234

  • USCSS Prometheus 10.1 years ago

actually, I was referring to the areas like length in front of the engines, area behind it(there is a decent amount, but meh, it's practically impossible to do in SP, only the equivalent of 1 block, no one would notice it. I just happen to have watched the movie, so I know most of the scaling), and the bar looks a bit too long. Otherwise, it pretty much looks spot on. Didn't want to put you down, so I figured I'd let you continue with it. @Authros

  • USCSS Prometheus 10.1 years ago

Looks pretty good, and although I have my complaints, it's only with dimension scaling to other parts. Pretty sure it was needed like that to get it flying though, so not going to complain.

  • Ultimate Control 10.1 years ago

@hypnotoad well, not totally break up, more rather lose a single piece(vertical stabilizer) and go into a flat spin(uncontrollable in general if not a flat spin.).

  • Sukhoi PAK FA(T-50) 10.1 years ago

@hypnotoad Yeah, I know, it's extremely sensitive, as well as it's successor(which improves on this a bit, with the function to turn off the thrust vectoring, as well as using all moving tailplane as the main pitch instead of normal pitch control.). And they modding thing was after I realized this model couldn't fly as uploaded(found this out right after uploading it), then I tested a few things to get it to fly properly again.

  • Ultimate Control 10.1 years ago

Pretty decent aircraft, though doing pitch and roll at the same time can cause the whole aircraft to fail. You may want to try out my Sukhoi PAK FA.

  • Sukhoi PAK FA T-50(Now with full moving tailplane) 10.1 years ago

Ug............. Some days I don't even know why I bother making these things. :(

  • ww2 1949 challenge. "amerika bomber" silbervogel 10.1 years ago

Finally got it to launch on high. took a bit of work to get it, but it finally flew.

  • ww2 1949 challenge. "amerika bomber" silbervogel 10.1 years ago

I'm using Mac on the highest settings. The issue is, the detacher 2 fails fairly consistently a lot of the time, and sticks to the sled. and on mine, I can't use south runway because it's a good 100ft or so from the edge, so I have to use the north runway. detacher 3 has a tendency to put it into a spiral, and break it as well.

  • LBA 113 10.2 years ago

Why does this look like you took it from me? :/

  • childhood memories 10.2 years ago

Great paper airplane with jets, it's very good speed wise. Lifting off is a bit of a pain, but after that it's great!

  • Sukhoi PAK FA(T-50) 10.2 years ago

still a bit buggy, but I'll fix it eventually.

  • P-80/F-80 Shooting Star 10.2 years ago

    made a new version.

  • CHALLENGE: WW2 Fighter Replica 10.2 years ago

Good idea for a challenge, and actually gave me inspiration for several other aircraft to make.

  • CHALLENGE: WW2 Fighter Replica 10.2 years ago

Spartan, the time the entries are due is April 16, so technically it's not late at all.

  • CHALLENGE: WW2 Fighter Replica 10.2 years ago

This actually made me think about WWII jet designs, and I actually can start designing quite a few jets. I think I'll make the P-80 Shooting Star for this(and even though it didn't enter service until after WWII, I look at the first flight to say if it was WWII, not military service.)

  • F4U Corsair 10.2 years ago

Congrats on gold, you really deserve it. I hope I make it one day up there, but for now I'm still bronze.

  • Stratgetic Bomber 10.2 years ago

@msmerme- I never intended this for tablets, it's actually a bit too big to fly even for my mac, and it has a 1.4gb processor. and this could be bigger, but the editor gets glitchy when you make something THIS big.

  • HEAVY BOMBER CHALLENGE 10.2 years ago

sorry if I couldn't make it a successor, but here is my entry https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/ma842J/Stratgetic-Bomber

  • [PROOF OF CONCEPT] 10.2 years ago

I came up with something similar as well. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/J05MIu/XAI-M-9-Hyper-Manuvearibility-Fighter

  • Battleship Bismarck 10.2 years ago

@Thebrendon55c I'm also going to have to design new aircraft, seeing as how I'm unable to compete with others currently. Some swing wings and other aircraft would do, also hoping for some helicopters(Apache would be nice)

  • Batttleship V3 10.2 years ago

It's decent, not the best I've ever seen, but it works.

  • Battleship Bismarck 10.2 years ago

@Thebrendon55c Thanks! I saw your BB and your carriers, but didn't really get around to testing them because, well, trying to build this and other stuff. I think the next thing to build will be a landing craft with tanks on it, as well as get around to making missile designs, seeing as how I haven't made any yet.

  • SEALION 10.2 years ago

This is amazing. The turning is really good, and has a very great handling ability. it's very fun making it dive into the water and make it submerged and come back up. Not the fastest thing, but eh, beggars can't be choosers.

  • Battleship Bismarck 10.2 years ago

@Allstarship- Thanks! I never really was good with the superstructure, I'm hoping to make one with a much better looking superstructure, because the superstructure looks weird, IMO.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat (Retractable Wings) 10.3 years ago

Very good looks, decent handling while wings forward, high speed while swept back(although poor handling), and able to land ok on a carrier with enough skill.

  • Sikorsky Ilya Muromets 10.3 years ago

Note, the struts cause yaw sensitivity and banking issues, so if you prefer performance over looks, remove the struts

  • F35 Joint Strike Fighter by SR 10.3 years ago

    Very nice aircraft.

  • XAI-M-8 10.3 years ago

@Allstarship I made this with maneuvering in mind, not nose up/down, to make it more accurate historically and to make it have a decent maneuverability

  • Prop Assemblies 10.3 years ago

Definitely helpful to those who can't use part clipping(although I myself can do them, it helps for those who can't.)

  • Nathan 10.4 years ago

umm, that didn't take a year, come on people, give credit to people for things you used from other peoples jets.

  • Black night 10.4 years ago

umm, this is not fully yours(namely the actual jet)

  • XAI-X-1 10.4 years ago

warning, DON'T DO VTOL WITH THIS THING

  • Starter 10.4 years ago

You don't need to upload something that is already in the game.

  • This plane will piss you off v2 10.4 years ago

you do realize is that I already know that jet doesn't fly, right?(center of gravity too high, also, ARE you going to build anything that actually flies?)

  • LelFastStuff 10.4 years ago

umm, why is there a random detacher there?

  • Hyper Sonic F-22 10.4 years ago

Note to noobies, don't use this jet unless you want to go out of control. you can alway use https://simpleplanes.com/a/jY5369/F-22-fast-and-super-manuvearable this jet if you want something that is similar, but doesn't go so fast. also, this jet is the same as this one without the cart, and the one with the cart is basically made from the jet in the link. also, both are based off of /u/47North122West 's http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/83S3a3/F-22

  • Killer 10.4 years ago

Umm........ this is /u/47North122West plane, better give him credit! just pointing this out

  • Small jet trainer 10.4 years ago

why do you have random parts floating around it? that's probably why it's hard to land, there is objects on the runway!
