@Skykid028 no worries, after you replied to me, when I looked at it quickly I actually read that too but then I checked a second time and it didn’t say that hahaha
@AtotallynormalAircoDH2 nah. The previous post already did that. You didn’t even actually make this, you just deleted the rest and posted this, so it’s even a copy without any changes made by yourself
Just an fyi, the rules state “ Don't use offensive symbols, unless they are necessary for historical accuracy (ie - Swastikas should only be used on things like a WW2 German Bomber).”
I played around with it a bit more and there are a few things I think you can do to make this fly waaaay better (not that it flies bad now). Because you lowered the drag points a lot, it can now reach its realistic max speed without having insane acceleration. However, because of the lack of drag points, this thing hardly loses energy at all when a real plane should. I was pulling an 8 G min radius turn at 45% throttle starting at 340KIAS and it kept accelerating when in reality that should bleed off energy very quickly. There are two simple things I would highly recommend to make this fly a lot more realistically. One is to reduce the engine power to get a realistic TWR. That will make acceleration even more realistic and make the takeoff roll longer like it is in real life. Second, I would add two air breaks with a variation of this command in the “input” section:
clamp01((2+AngleOfAttack)/-14)
This will make the air breaks activate the higher your AoA is (it will start at 2 degrees and extend fully at 14 degrees). This means that even though you don’t have the drag points to somewhat realistically simulate drag induced energy loss, you can synthetically recreate it with the air breaks. If you add them to your plane around your CoL and have them open to the sides, it should make this plane handle a lot closer to the real thing.
@Bullozeee fair but I think it would be worth it to just get rid of the gear system and make it no clip into the fuselage especially since this is a modification of someone else’s build
@Zilozite literally just move the ailerons to the edges of the wings and they’ll work much better. If you need anymore help or have other questions, let me know :)
@32 I used to make manually guided missiles which were decently controllable but it was really hard to hit another plane. Was not too bad for hitting a ground target though. Only issue was that I’d have to hope my plane wouldn’t crash from my missile manoeuvres since they’d both be reacting to the same inputs 😂
Decent build. Maybe best to put the ailerons on the outboard side of the wings instead of the position of the flaps. Will give it better roll control when it’s further from the CoM
@parsivall yes and that’s a short distance… it’s only 2km. He meant to type 2000km. If you could read, and you read the comments, you’d maybe notice that. Think before you type buddy ;)
@BombsAway4613 I asked him how he would determine who would win when it comes to one group of vehicles engaging another. He said him and another user would determine some sort of score for them based on their experience using them. So it will include how well it’s made and how effective it is. Probably also how much it fits the rules. He explained this in a comment when I asked about how this will work since on SP, you can’t really simulate a battle between two sides with lots of vehicles
@BombsAway4613 oh I thought the OP for the challenge told me that the vehicles would have a score set to them depending on how well they’re made. This score is what determines whose military is best I think but I could be completely confused hahaha
@BombsAway4613 well in that case just have the score of the builds reflect that. I ran a challenge once and it was supposed to be naval aircraft for 1945-1950. People kept building things like phantoms or crusaders so I’d just give them a super low score. Simple
@Darkmoon Something like this is what I’ve made but it was different to what I’m saying. So a post with a little text and then a couple photos of your build and put the word “teaser” in the title. Let it sit there for a couple days and then post it. Then also a day after you post, make a forum post about your plane too. Always put a link back to your build too
@Yourlocalhuman I have increased in knowledge. ngl it’s a game changer, I used to just put a tiny boom 50 on the rockets so they’d have to drop but this is way easier. I did start that before I had access to XML myself though so I never really thought about it and just continued until now
@DalandanMan23 yes I did! It’s some cool details added to it which made it even better

This is really neat! Flies pretty well
@Skykid028 sorry but for what challenge? The build it’s from is just a post of different WWII flags and uniforms from over 4 years ago
Just an fyi, the rules state “ Don't use offensive symbols, unless they are necessary for historical accuracy (ie - Swastikas should only be used on things like a WW2 German Bomber).”
Pretty good job!
Nice build but just fyi, the elevators move in the opposite direction than they’re supposed to!
F-16 who ate too much?
Nice job! Feels a little small but still looks good and is fun to fly
Pretty decent!
From just the outline, I could tell it was supposed to be Italian
The smaller surface to surface missiles don’t seem to ignite. They just pop up and then drop back on the ship
Pretty cool build! I like it
actually playing around with it more I would recommend clamp01((1.5+AngleOfAttack)/-8)

Pretty nice! I like that it doesn’t pull insanely hard Gs
Have we not learnt from the mistakes of Kelly Johnson hahaha
@Bullozeee sounds pretty cool!
@Bullozeee maybe time for ME-262 (modified), 2, the sequel
Lmao layered ERA
@Bullozeee fair but I think it would be worth it to just get rid of the gear system and make it no clip into the fuselage especially since this is a modification of someone else’s build
@Zaineman thanks for the name! Was curious about it. It sounds similar to what I thought it was
now this was amazingly fun to drive! Not sure if you’re taking requests but it would be awesome to see the red bull car as well! Team Max all the way
Time to make my iPhone heat up 😎
So you gave it a stick?
@Zilozite literally just move the ailerons to the edges of the wings and they’ll work much better. If you need anymore help or have other questions, let me know :)
Whoa this is pretty cool! Nice build :)

@32 wow that was a flashback. Can’t believe that was so many years go now.
Yeahhhhh sure you made that plane that you can’t even download
Love it when an engine just shoots off at the press of a button
Decent build. Maybe best to put the ailerons on the outboard side of the wings instead of the position of the flaps. Will give it better roll control when it’s further from the CoM
Cool lore and nice build! I like it
Is this the background music from that game afterburner?
Very nice! this jet reminds me of the BAC 1-11
We’ve all been there 👌🏼
@parsivall yes and that’s a short distance… it’s only 2km. He meant to type 2000km. If you could read, and you read the comments, you’d maybe notice that. Think before you type buddy ;)
@parsivall thank you captain obvious. Was there a point you were trying to make?
Geen probleem :)

@Darkmoon I’ll also give you a spotlight the next time you post again so just tag me in it :)

@BombsAway4613 why don’t you ask the OP of the challenge about that? Seems unfair if you’re the only one following the rules
Today I learnt that, obviously, you can change the burn time of a rocket to make it have a ballistic trajectory
It just made its 11th flight recently right?
