@Diloph I would love that! Thank you so much!

  • ESD-A2N 6.1 years ago

This is a pretty cool looking plane! The cockpit could look a little better though

  • CardBoard man 6.1 years ago

@Diloph I have around 100 old planes of mine in my old phone which has a broken charging port. I really want to see my old planes from a few years ago but I don’t think it’ll ever happen now unfortunately.

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Diloph hahaha I’m glad you got that working! I wish I used one for my MiG-21 builds. Such a missed opportunity hahaha

  • AAA/DG-667 Flying Wing Bomber Drone 6.1 years ago

@MrPorg137 sounds like it would have been a cool idea in the 1950s or late 1940s

  • CardBoard man 6.1 years ago

@Diloph oh my goodness that’s incredible! I don’t even know if I’ve made 150 in total

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Diloph looking forward to seeing what you create. It sounds fantastic already!

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Diloph no there is no requirement for that. If planes are more detailed and have realistic functions/characteristics, they will get more points, but I will not disqualify planes for being unrealistic. I hope this answers this question and any others you might have had

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 just make it look older and function worse hahaha. That should do it

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Diloph what did you make realistic? Have you already made a plane for this?

  • CardBoard man 6.1 years ago

@Diloph something where you could save a plane on your SP account and everyone can see your saved planes. They used to have the ability to favourite planes but I don’t think they do that anymore

  • Glider (updated) 6.1 years ago

And yet another lovely glider from you! Nicely made. I like the cockpit very much too. Most people forget there are often a few buttons on the control column/yolk so it’s nice to see them here

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 exactly. I hope someone does one with floats too. I love the way those look. Also some sort of anti submarine version would be nice to see as well

  • The New Scorpius Series 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 it most certainly is! Very unusual but cool!

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 exactly! It can be from any country. What would be cool also is navalised versions of existing helicopters of the time

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 exactly! I tried to leave the rules really loose so people could be creative and not feel restricted to something too specific in terms of what kind of aircraft.

  • Saunders-Roe SR.53 6.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 I hope you do!

  • The New Scorpius Series 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 me too. The l-1011 is also fantastic. The XB-51 feels like such a weird plane for the Americans to make. It just feels so un-American for some reason

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 I hope to see some helicopters for this challenge. That would be really awesome I think

  • Ring Wing Mk.1 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 that’s a good idea. I’ll take a look at his builds for examples

  • Saunders-Roe SR.53 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 I’m a sucker for anything from SR so I still love it. Maybe try making it again but not for any challenge, just a really detailed one

  • The New Scorpius Series 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 three engined aircraft always intrigue me

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 Honestly, anything sounds better than a carrier hahaha

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Empergyd it doesn’t have to be perfect! You get an upvote for entering and one for every ten points you get with the requirement criteria so I’d say it’s worth it!

  • Ring Wing Mk.1 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 yes that is slightly challenging but with a bit of tinkering, it’s not too hard I think

  • Saunders-Roe SR.53 6.1 years ago

Oh my goodness I remember seeing this a while back (I was on an SP break so I wasn’t liking or commenting hahaha). I didn’t realise you were the one who made it. It’s one of my all time favourite aircraft

  • The New Scorpius Series 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 they sound very cool actually! If you would like help on any or to do some sort of colab, I would be all for it as well!

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 I like reading about these planes and I would 100% fly it for fun, but there is no way in hell anyone could get me to use them in combat and then try and land on a bloody ship hahaha. I’m used to landing on short runways but not any that move hahaha

  • Ring Wing Mk.1 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 CCS always seems difficult at first but I don’t know why I didn’t start making them ages ago. They’re actually pretty simple to make. I always try to encourage new players to make them so they get into the habit of it early hahaha

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 I see you know your history on this period too. This is I think my favourite era for military aircraft. So many experimental designs to figure out what is best. I love it when a jet fighter has a thrust to weight ratio of less than 0.3 hahaha

  • Ring Wing Mk.1 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 they definitely do catch the eye. Everyone likes the weird planes that look different but still fly decently well

  • Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat (Naval Challenge) 6.1 years ago

Very nice. Thank you for participating!

  • Asteroid-Douglas AS-43 Jetmaster II 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 that is true. I might enter in that one actually

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 that’s also an awesome idea! The post WWII jets are very interesting aircraft.

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Empergyd no no I’m hoping to see a lot of jets here! I chose it because it’s a nice era where there was a lot of both jets and props

  • Tiger II 6.1 years ago

Whoa! This is really well made! The speed is also perfect! You never see tanks here with realistic speeds. The only unrealistic thing about this Tiger II is that it actually has fuel to drive hahaha

  • B-20C Wingfortress 6.1 years ago

@StJiub it takes a lot of time. Look at my early builds! They not nearly as good as yours. I’ve also been playing this game since it was released for iOS so lots of experience here hahaha

  • A320 V2 6.1 years ago

@nitroth that’s not too big a deal. It’s just filled up for a short flight!

  • Ring Wing Mk.1 6.1 years ago

This is so cool! I love planes which are mostly normal and then have either weird wings or engines. Very nicely made too!

  • Asteroid-Douglas AS-43 Jetmaster II 6.1 years ago

This is really nice! I didn’t even realise that there was a sort of similar challenge going on hahaha. Great build!

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 try whatever you feel like. I won’t take points off for interiors which look bad. After looking at other builds of yours, I bet you could make a good one though and even if it’s bad, you don’t have anything to lose

  • F-104 X Twin engine 6.1 years ago

This is really cool! I’ve never thought about a design like this but it’s very well made too. Nice build quality too

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 that is also a cool choice but skynight is more interesting in my opinion. Why don’t you make both?

  • AAA/DG-667 Flying Wing Bomber Drone 6.1 years ago

This is a really cool concept! From what year is this supposed to be used in?

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 now that is an awesome choice. I don’t think I’ve even seen one on here

  • Kingsman M-20 6.1 years ago

Pretty nice! It would be even better if the CIWS/C-RAM could move 360 degrees and if it could be raised slightly. This would give it more angles where it could shoot at, thus making it more effective

  • Free to use Fuselage 6.1 years ago

I don’t personally think I’m going to use this one but I have this issue all the time. Just getting the general shape of the fuselage made is what stops me from building so many planes. I appreciate what you’re doing for the community here hahaha. Very useful part

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Verygoodboi well it’s open until 31 December so if you have time you’re welcome to build something for it!

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Empergyd I thought maybe you’d like to join this

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@emanuelga yeah I didn’t want anyone to feel rushed at all :)
