@ChiChiWerx i rarely write that formally, i just did that to match how you wrote lol. Idk how to explain it, just gave me a very formal vibe. But you do you, that might just be your writing style, just a comment lol
@ChiChiWerx Nah, the Devastator used as anything other than a torpedo bomber irl would've been worse off, it's just that in game it has flight characteristics that probably don't match reality. It's simply a case of game balance slip ups over anything else.
Also, the Devastator cannot be matched with Warhawks, but it can be matched with P-36 Hawks, cause or their differences in Battle Rating.
P.s: why do you speak so formarly?
@ChiChiWerx Yeah, i know the Devastator was very outclassed when WW2 began, specially at Midway, but in the game, it is the first bomber in the US bomber line, at BR 1.0, the lowest you can go. It has decent flight performance, decent energy retention, good roll rate, average climb and turn rate, it's just super slow. It packs one .50cal in the front and a .50cal as the turret, guns thats shred biplanes like the He-51 or Nimrod, and can carry up to 12 100lb bombs, a couple 250lb or 500lb bombs (i don't recall right now) and a large 1000lb bomb or a torpedo (which you probably won't get to use), while also getting custom loadouts so you can mix and match. It can take out multiple strategic targets at once, destroy biplanes and RTB almost safe and sound. It's also super cheap, for purchase, crewing and repairing. It works really well as an impromptu fighter and low altitude bomber, or as CAS, if you take the 100lb bomb.
War Thunder may base stuff after documents, but after all, it's still a game and balance over realism is there to some extent, which means some slip ups happen, so don't expect most vehicles in game to reeaaaallly match their IRL counterparts.
Yooo, i was actually thinking about building one of these!
Personally, i prefer Silent Line, i don't like Last Raven floatier feel to the ACs, but i will beat it later
@XxRxX performance cost isn't calculated purely on parts, in fact, different parts have different performance cost values. This plane features many rotators, hinges and moving parts, parts that have HUGE performance costs compared to others. If it was purely fuselage parts, it would top out at 2000 or 2500
It ended up being a fairly simple cockpit design to save on part count, add to that my conflicting references (a picture i found online and my own Whirlwind Mk.1 in War Thunder) and my inexperience with replica cockpits. But i had fun making and flying this plane and i hope everyone likes it!
@AlivePan bro, i misread maximum as minimum, no need to be rude. Plus you did not write a maximum payload to be carried (i.e how many missles, bombs, rockets or other ordinance capable of being carried), hence why i asked.
As someone that used to make games in Scratch with block programming, i do agree this should be added ASAP. Would give a bunch of functionality to many builds, while lowering the FT barrier of entry
Ok so, you need to change some stuff for this to work out:
1: Give it a deadline that actually makes sense (a month, minimum)
2: An actual rules set with max performance cost and such
3: at least 10 upvotes for the winner, sweetspot is 15. Yes, it's annoying to upvote a person 15 times, but it's deserved, what i usually do is 15/20 for the winner, 10/15 for second, 5/10 for third and an upvote for everyone else, plus spotlights for the podium
4: Format everything better, using "##" won't cut it.
I'd suggest using my challenges or popular challenges that happened before
@asteroidbook345 we used to have a lot of trains, but during the Jucelino Kubitchek governament (the dude that took a huge international loan to build our current capital city), we switched from Rail transport to Highway transport, so we lost our large rail networks, which sucks cause Rail is way cheaper
Also uh... what is a rail gauge? I only know ammunition gauge lmao
I'm ngl, never understood why people like trains, but i swear, anyone that post a train makes it look like a masterpiece... maybe that's how i can be goated with the sauce....
Like usual, the tips we can provide is just to look at other people's builds and see what they are doing differently than you, while also experimenting on your own. That's pretty much how everyone gets better. Take as much time as you need, use blueprints if needed for scale, that can all help too

One of the best looking WW2 aircraft imo. Also an insanely powerful plane in War Thunder.
+1Really nicely made!
as a furry, i wanna see this to hunt my fellow furry enemies so T
Thanks for the transparency, it's really good to see. I don't mind waiting a lot for updates, they are always high quality!
+3@gnexes From Software made a series like that since 1997 bro
Go play Armored Core lmao

I remember when i was got one of these from an Erusian nerd... good times...
Nice build, super sexy!
The things you built yourself are pretty great, ngl
+1@Observer404 thank you!

+2This some EDF type stuff bro
+1love it
Yup, that's that Flyout jet, alright

Is there a max weight limit, or max payload allowed?
...no
+1Just no
Stop
Become older and come back
@Rocketguy2079 sometimes a challenge doesn't stick. Happens honestly. I for one have not played SP in a while
I uh, dont remember asking to be tagged. Its neat and cool looking, but yeah, i didnt ask to be tagged bro
I have now made a version of this tank featuring Turret Control and Tracks 2. Made to experiment with these mods, but you can play with it if you want
@Bryan5 unfortunate
+1@Dogedogeman1 well, when it's done, post it as unlisted and send me the link to it on Discord so i can take the pics and give them to ya
@Dogedogeman1 alright, ill send you a friend request
Edit: just did

@Dogedogeman1 ah alright. Ping me then
@Dogedogeman1 oh. I dont like sharing emails with people idk personally, sorry
Oh neat!
I do have a nation, created with @ZikkuHai a while back
Name: Anbruch Democratic Republic, or simply, Anbruch
War Flag. Idk if it'll work here. If it doesn't, ping me
Peace Flag. Also dunno if it will work
Lore. It's a Google Doc and pretty long
We do have vehicles, some are not explicitly part of it, but this is the list of all vehicles we have uploaded for Anbruch:
Mine: Gepard 1A3VR MBT
DT-160C Feuerfalke Attacker/Tactical Bomber
KA-80E Hahn Light Attacker
DT-170B Sabelzahntiger Air Superiority Fighter
KA-180A Sturmwurger Multirole Fighter
Zik's: Serval 1A2VR LAV
Gepard 2 MBT
Long list, i know lmao.
+2Ships may be coming soon, we are discussing that cause we are meant as a landlocked nation.
i can, yeah
what's your discord?

+1MIG-29
+1in honor of the new MIG-29 for Germany in War Thunder
@CooperFilms001 No worries pal
+1Can you give the link to the car? I could try to fix it
It happens, don't be sad about it. Challenges can be hit or miss, don't let that stop future ones
+3@32 hey, thanks! Having something for screenshots is also super nice!
Alright, cya
@CL125 i think, idk. Ive seen people do that, specially around NexusMods for some games like Morrowind
@asteroidbook345 oooooooh ok, i thought it was something to do with the steel the rails were made of

@ThatOnePiaz it's not a variant of the Little Bugger, didn't even use it as a basis, it's basically my version of a Caterham.
Thanks tho!
@DatRoadTrainGuy19 because brazil doesn't have any? Nah, i just find trains kinda boring
@U2 thats your opinion...
It's ok to be wrong
No idea or way to help but take this upvote so that maybe someone will see this
Good luck on your tests!
