I'm hoping to get to silver soon, maybe if I make more of these but more aesthetically pleasing I can get there @Typhlosion130

  • Krachenburcher Enterprises: GRV2A Speedy Cricket 8.9 years ago

Yeah and I actually have lift at the moment, so a bit of downforce wouldn't go amiss. I just can't balance it and have working suspension if I use any downforce. I'm fine with making a cool buggy that gets a good time but not a winning time. I'm also fine with having something (modified version of this buggy) which can complete every single obstacle and jump on jump zone island or whatever it's called @Typhlosion130

Just thought it would make sense to have only engines that existed back then, not turbo props. Turboprops are jet engines with a prop on the end basically. Just pointing that out not criticising. @deusalgor

  • (Ended)Challenge! 1939-1945 Fighters Championship! 8.9 years ago

The t3000 is a turboprop not a piston engine FYI

  • Krachenburcher Enterprises: GRV2A Speedy Cricket 8.9 years ago

To go faster, I'd need to add more engines and more downforce, which doesn't work for this chassis unfortunately. I might make another for racing but I think I'll just make new versions for player control that look better and jump really well @Typhlosion130

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Wings are allowed but control surfaces make it trip out. I just gave a high rear wing with dihedral to stabilise mine @Flightsonic

  • Krachenburcher Enterprises: GRV2A Speedy Cricket 8.9 years ago

    Thx @Typhlosion130

  • Krachenburcher Enterprises: GRV2A Speedy Cricket 8.9 years ago

@Typhlosion130 now it's listed. It's not actually made on mobile I just downloaded and reuploaded it on my iPod so now it's listed

He says in this one that he has 4x 600hp engines which is 2400hp. @jamesPLANESii

  • [Beta] Fine Tuner Mod - Fine-tune position and rotation without leaving the editor! 8.9 years ago

It's amazing! So easy to use and it's functional!

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

As a reference for you, this does 1:30 @MrSev

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

You'd have to redesign quite a lot to get a good time though. But still, it's not bad. @MrSev

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Give it a wing at the back with high dihedral, turn your spring strength down to 200, make the front wheels turn angle 10 and remove rear steering.@MrSev

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Show me your car, I can give you some pointers @MrSev

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

    Never mind, uploaded unlisted.

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

I uploaded three cars yesterday and I just tried to upload a 1:30 car, but I've "uploaded too many today"

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Do NOT let the car do drifts and the AI MAY have mercy on your soul. All the AI does is put full power and point the wheels towards the next ring. Drifting is a wee bit more complicated @jamesPLANESii

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Nothing. Wait two weeks and you'll know the results. @privvet

  • Ahtzee's Car 02 8.9 years ago

Does it flip over in the race though with such small amount of suspension travel? What time does it get? @Ahtzee

  • AMERICAN PRIDE 8.9 years ago

You should enter this in riding dirty tournament lol

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

  • Shock sub assembly units 8.9 years ago

Might use these shocks for something yet. I'll credit you.

  • Shock sub assembly units 8.9 years ago

I'll keep tweaking my car for a bit till I upload it, and I'll upload many versions: a jump zone car, an offroad tournament car and a general offroad car for people to enjoy

  • Shock sub assembly units 8.9 years ago

Well, if you have lots of little bumps you'll need lower damping for it to rebound FASTER and if you just have a couple of huge hits spread apart, such as jumps, you want higher damping so it rebounds SLOWER. As long as you have 20% sag, your shock strength is right, but if that isn't sufficient, you can give it more travel (more shocks stacked) @Typhlosion130

  • Shock sub assembly units 8.9 years ago

That's how it is with mountain biking anyway, simple planes might need different setups, but that is the basics of suspension setup on anything

  • Shock sub assembly units 8.9 years ago

Yeah exactly like that. When setting up suspension, you should set the spring strength so that it sags 20% of travel sitting there. Damping start with zero and make a frame and a detacher with o force to drop the car. If it bounces put the damping higher and repeat. You don't want damping too slow though @Typhlosion130

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

I'm also going to try putting small, high dihedral wings on the back with mini ailerons because when you turn hard right and the suspension squashes then you hit a bump it flips out so the ailerons would make it roll in the other direction (wheels and ailerons set to roll)

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

I have the same issue, I'm thinking if you could get two shocks stacked on each other, setup perfectly, and wheel suspension setup as well (believe me it helps) and you can make the suspension softer because you have more travel. Or you could mess around with getting the linkages right so that the wheel moves more than the shock, say 3:1 ratio @Typhlosion130

  • Ahtzee's Car 02 8.9 years ago

    No suspension?

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

I experimented with making a working suspension system and it actually worked :D but it still crashes out in one spot D: but I made a version that completes every obstacle in jump zone :D but I'd uploaded too many planes D: thanks for reminding me of building techniques anyway @Typhlosion130

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

DID YOU EVEN READ THE POST 5 BELOW YOURS???! @DandruffCat

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

K thanks, pretty sure I knew that anyway but @Typhlosion130

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

So am I. I know HOW to make something good and I how to setup mountain bike suspension in real life, so I think I can apply the same principles to SP. Recently discovered you can turn rotators into hinges so that should make it easier @Typhlosion130

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

I know i have also done that too. I don't think you understand. The AI doesn't lose control at the end, it steers itself in a perfect 90degree angle away from the finish line. It will eventually flip when it hits the hills. When resets itself, it spawns facing the direction of the finish. It then proceeds to turn around and keep driving away again. But like I said I'm gunna try making a proper entry, that was just a stupid creation made just because

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Sorry, forgot. They do upload the whole thing to YouTube eventually though @JacobHardy64 @nfsplatinum

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

I know all of that, I'll probably actually make a proper entry later on, I just wanted to make something retarded cause I felt like it. Turn angle of 20-25 will make mine instantly flip over with AI though, I have to go 5 degrees. But yeah I'm gunna make a good one later @Typhlosion130

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

I was being sarcastic. Kool car though, even if it doesn't work. Mine overturns minimum of 3 times and it steers as far away as it can to the finish but that's the AI tripping out @Typhlosion130

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

YouTube, the account is Jundroo and they post a link to your rounds when it starts. You'll see what I mean. @nfsplatinum

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

In 2 weeks the tournament will be closed and you can no longer enter or change anything. I think it starts then. @nfsplatinum

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Mine has a top of 62 down the hill. Beat that sucker @aiden2805

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Wow comments are glitching out for me, I post, then nothing shows up, so I go back and repost and it works the second time @AndrewGarrisson

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

@nfsplatinum reduce the turning angle on your wheels. The AI always swings back and forth a bit though no matter what you do

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

    Tag me in it @Mudkip

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

@AndrewGarrisson ummm, well my car is never gunna win anyway (look at post a bit down) but, it gets to the final checkpoint then turns hard right and misses it and steers itself in a perfect 90 degree angle away from it. It eventually tips over and faces the right way when it flips but it steers away again. Something to do with AI knowing the location of the final checkpoint?

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Mine has suspension! Totally didn't just do wheelsuspension with default settings. Also totally didn't give it a 50hp engine. Why would anyone do something like that ;) @Mudkip

  • Geoterrain crawler MK11 8.9 years ago

Hah, that'll never compete with da box

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Yes you can, you have to upload the creation before you enter it anyway. Just hit enter tournament and select what you want to enter @DogeMaster14

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Yep, made a five minute box tractor thingy. Watch out guys! I might win this! I don't even know if it can complete the race cause I got bored after 5 minutes of racing it

  • Riding Dirty 8.9 years ago

Since I'm terrible at making cars, Ima mak a box
