The problem is that the gyro prevents smooth loops. It’s always trying to keep the aircraft level. Real stabilisation computers simply keep the aircraft stable and leave it in the last position the pilot left it @AviownCorp
I like most planes and cars. I don't like IC cars or piston powered aircraft. I do like electric, turbine and rocket power. I don't like most people. To me, it sounds like all your problems could be solved if you had electric vehicles (logistically and economically unviable at present time, I know) and became a hermit driving only off-road. And no, I did not read the whole thing. Just the title and one or two bold sections. But seriously though, why complain on Simple Planes?
@DemonSniper8 But only because it's a game. I really don't like using exploits or modding to create something that shouldn't work. But I can't really tell anyone how to play the game can I? By the way, what do you mean by XML stuff? I could make something go beyond light speed if I went nuts with XML
That being said, it’s a game about planes so I can’t really expect the devs to put that much time into the finer points of land vehicles. We can use workarounds to create pretty much anything
There’s a crazy number of things that affect acceleration and top speed on IC engines. Electric is actually a lot simpler. Horsepower and torque are separate things and have different effects on performance. Gearing is perhaps the biggest thing. Simpleplanes has no gears at all and there is no separate control for torque, so to make up for that, the engines are just plain weird at times
If it met my standards for suspension, this thing would probably be over 800 parts due to the crazy number of wheels. Don’t worry about it on this creation. @RocCrafter101
They’re progressive with their technology so I like their future and latest aircraft. I really don’t care about the politics of a company if they use generative design and 3D printing and competitors don’t.
@BoeyingOfficial I did once. The XBox controller is better suited to SP. Easier to hold and better buttons for games. Control resolution in SP is actually lower than the XBox controller so the crazy resolution of the taranis doesn't help
I can land on it just fine be it with my taranis RC radio, XBox controller, keyboard or touchscreen on ipad. Just practice with a decent plane until you get the hang of it
I would combine my love of planes, multirotors, rockets and off-road land vehicles to create a reusable rocket that launches a VTOL spaceplane with a 4-link rockcrawler inside. If they add props, I will happily make a rocket that can take your bushplane to any planet you like @jamesPLANESii @TheGuyYouMightKnow
You can’t set different inputs to guns but you can set different inputs to engines. Do you want an engine to fire up at the same time as the guns, cos I could do that for you
Well it’s hard to tell in simpleplanes since stall physics are out of whack. Most planes tip stall at extremely low speed IRL but that doesn’t seem to happen in SP
So what about the lights. Extremely common to remove regular headlights and replace them with roof mounted spotlights for pure off-roading vehicles. The axle is accurate enough for functionality and looks about right. My previous comment about lack of portal axles is defunct since this appears to feature portal axles. Would you prefer no description or a google translate description that makes no sense? I really don’t see why you don’t like this and haven’t upvoted. @Hawkeye156
Guess so. I’ll need to fly it a lot more to get the feel for it. I think it would benefit from a very large bomb bay centred on the CoM @AviownCorp
But then it doesn’t stabilise it enough... maybe I’m just being picky. I’ll choose a few of your craft and discuss it with the others @AviownCorp
The problem is that the gyro prevents smooth loops. It’s always trying to keep the aircraft level. Real stabilisation computers simply keep the aircraft stable and leave it in the last position the pilot left it @AviownCorp
Internal is the way to go if you can keep part count low @AviownCorp
Either. As long as it’s less than 350 parts @AviownCorp
Keyword is subsonic. Still not the fastest @BaconEggs
Aerodynamics has very little impact on acceleration but a huge impact on top speed. The original post is about reducing acceleration @DemonSniper8
Just giving you attention because you are requesting mechanical suspension only.
no. And that isn't a problem IMO

No. You literally just admitted to spamming and gave no reason to trust you lol

You get a huge difference between 3 and 5. Think of it as gearing @DemonSniper8

Bigger wheels will slow you down drastically
It’s good but... no suspension D:
Yep. Unfortunately doesn’t work for pistons. You could set 10x rang and 0.1 input but that wouldn’t make any difference to volume. @RodWan
@RodWan for engines you can set 10x power and 0.1 max input. But that doesn’t really help here...
This is way beyond my level so I’ll just spotlight for attention
I’m in
I didn’t mean I’m second lol. I mean I agree with you @Hayhayjam664
Seconded @Hayhayjam664
I think you can do it but I’m not sure. Google search how to change game versions on steam @Chancey21
They’re progressive with their technology so I like their future and latest aircraft. I really don’t care about the politics of a company if they use generative design and 3D printing and competitors don’t.
Good to see more 4-link vehicles appearing :)
7 forum posts in two days? 3 in an hour?
can’t you change it to an old version through steam?
It’s really good but you need to extend the suspension a little more while in the designer. When gravity is applied, the ride height is too low

A divebomber with a few wing-mounted boom25s. Make it reasonably fast (~400mph max) but fairly maneuverable. Use prop engines
No it wasn’t. Description just says it’s inspired by hunger games @Jacobdaniel
You need to make an off-road train with 4-link suspension (or something more complex)
Add a rear door and fit a pun jet inside! With folding wings and rocket engine (just use a jet) of course ;)
Try it then @tsampoy
If you weren’t on IOS, I would suggest setting the hinge damper value to 0. But you’re on IOS so I won’t suggest that @tsampoy
Thanks! I set controls as pitch and roll because that’s the best configuration for an xbox controller @callmom1
Very nice! I’ll have to do a Dakar truck soon @EternalDarkness
4-link is solid axle. Like this. I’m just feeling lonely making 4-link rock bouncers... all the rock crawler builders have left me :( @EternalDarkness
Are you ever going to try a vehicle with 4-link suspension?
What is the average airspeed of a swallow?
You can’t set different inputs to guns but you can set different inputs to engines. Do you want an engine to fire up at the same time as the guns, cos I could do that for you
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Sorry. But seriously though, just tell your father or it will get a hell of a lot worse.
Well it’s hard to tell in simpleplanes since stall physics are out of whack. Most planes tip stall at extremely low speed IRL but that doesn’t seem to happen in SP
Wow. Really? I’m going to stop this now @Hawkeye156

No idea @LOSTechOrdnance
