I just played this and placed it on an underwater location to try and recreate the anime opening.... and man... It's cool!!! You should make a video about this!!!
So I detected an issue.... The cockpit won't detach.... to fix that, just select the rotator part of the wings (The one which is near the cockpit) and move it away a little bit. Make sure not to mirror the mech cuz it causes some major shifts in the build.
