As a walker/mech builder, the cycle settings for rotators would be so helpful, and would honestly cause me less time when making similar builds. Also, I've also thought about your 2nd suggestion, and for me it would be even cooler if we were able to filter the parts we want to edit, for example: we only want to edit the fuselage parts, so the editor would only select those parts.
@DrenasPort Easier doesn't always mean fun. I mean, it can automatically aim and fire and it'll hit sometimes, but being able to shoot down a moving target yourself is pretty fun for me.
