  • WWI Bi-plane Dogfight Challenge (done) 8.1 years ago

@Joco80 I guess you can. As long as it doesn't give you an unfair advantage.

  • WWI Bi-plane Dogfight Challenge (done) 8.1 years ago

@ZephyrSystems the only two main restrictions is make it look World War 1 and the two Wing, two blade prop, 200 mph and two gun rule

  • WWI Bi-plane Dogfight Challenge (done) 8.1 years ago

@Kambeckham technically all I'm doing is the dogfight challenge but remember that everybody else will want to fly your plane too, so you might as well make it flyable in other instances.
Yes, details can be added and modded to your heart's content make it pretty. @mikoyanster the only two main restrictions is make it look World War 1 and the two Wing, two blade prop, 200 mph and two gun rule.

@Treadmill103 That is the beauty of this challenge. whenever you upload I will do the dogfights. No rush. It is sorta like a Dance off in which I will take on all comers as they arrive. I will end it a few weeks after I stop getting entries. (or not).

  • Smooth designer 8.1 years ago

Though one problem is that when you take a picture in the upload process I get nothing but the default background. I uploaded my WWI bi-plane dogfight challenge with this enabled and all I got was bla (nd) (ck).

    The Biplane April
    and the AGO C.II

Awesome sauce! This does not conflict with the building process. YAY! A couple of other designers I have download (that are static) have lagged the building process. But this one has shown zero signs of lag. Awesome sauce! (That's right, a double layer of awesome).

it's just that I was at 5000 Point gold when you guys announced the feature rotation a few months back.
And I've been holding my breath ever since, I'm turning purple.
    Just kidding.
I only tagged you because I saw that you were active.

  • F-80 Argus 8.1 years ago

This one's nice. It feels really sturdy but it's flying at 900-plus.

  • 60 Part Challenge (Closed) 8.1 years ago

    Yeah I'm in.
I just got to get sitting down at my computer and 45 minutes to an hour and a half I'll have it.
Then probably 16 hours worth of testing and fun playing and then I will upload it.
That is my usual modus operandi.

  • Belle-Grunman X-3 8.1 years ago

@TheLatentImage just bringing to your attention. Just in case you we're looking for a new plane to feature. I don't mean to anger you in any way. And I will not do this again.

@jpeed okay you're forgiven. You are new. Basically if you're going to use somebody else's creation try to improve it and or change it drastically. Not just a paint job, not just adding a couple of parts and calling it good. Cuz it's not.
The best thing to do that I learned when I was a newbie was to use parts, the sub-assemblies. Take pieces off other people's planes. And then save them in sub-assemblies. And then you can either delete everything except the cockpit and start from scratch or add on, take off, repaint, rebuild, whatever. This would make it a successor. ( when you make a plane a successor to another plane every upvote you get which is 15 points the original Builder gets half also, which is 7.)
Or you can make a new plane. (Which I know you know how to do that.)
Then use the sub assemblies to create whatever creation you want.
What I like to do is find a sub assembly, either that I make or that I find, and then use it as inspiration to build a plane that flies.

  • Ace Ventura - Bizarre challenge entry 8.1 years ago

Just a suggestion. Find a picture of a moose and Photoshop a picture of the anonymous mask on top of the face and make that your profile picture. That would be hilarious.
