@BlinIndustry So, when you save a plane, it's stored as a xml file in the game's install folder (i think in aircraft designs), that file stores everything about the plane such as the name, parts, settings etc. When you view a plane on the website that you uploaded you apparently now have the option to replace that XML with a newer one but that's only available to silver players and above.
Fun Fact: If you change the power multiplier of the engines to 1 and set VTOL to max, this thing jumps into the air, does a 16000g turn and charges at the ground at warp speed.
@Mantha I wouldn't really recommend anyone to play this game with a controller, there's way too many buttons to press so you would still have to use atleast the mouse anyway.
@ReinMcDeer Man this thing is tough. I put it on dogfight mode against your F-15C, F/A-18C and F-22A. It won against all of them. It even beat my plane.
@ReinMcDeer A F-35C, i don't really mind if it takes a while. The reason being: most people want the STOVL (F-35B) variant so you don't see this one much. It's the nicest looking version of the plane in my opinion, with the larger, folding wings and all.
It has a tendency to roll when you try to pitch up, I think maybe the wings are stalling, so using a flat bottom airfoil for your next planes should fix that (also set the elevators to flat bottom to counter the extra lift from the main wings).
@IceCraftGaming On mine as well, but I got a notification when you first said "true" and then another for the comment with "edit" written on it. Maybe you get notified for edits now?
@Spacepickle3214 It's quite rare for someone to make a really nice plane and not get any attention at all for it, just look at the mirage in the front page (edit: this one, it's no longer there), the guy who made it had 0 points when it was posted.
I think in my time here I only ever seen one or two players who make high quality stuff but don't get much attention for it, those being u/ReturnOfJeffChandler and u/PakPuma75
@XAircraftManufacturer Try taking pictures with either the sky or water as background (since the terrain is distracting and doesn't look very good) and zooming in a bit more, 20 or 15 fov works well.
In case you're wondering, to use the dev console on mobile first go to settings and click on the big "SETTINGS" title at the top of the screen 5 times. After that you'll be able to open the console by tapping the screen with 3 fingers at once.
Copy-pasted from a teaser post I made a while ago:
I also learned how to take better screenshots
Use this code on the dev console: >>CameraManagerScript..SetCameraFov x, replacing x with a number between 10 and 50 depending on how far away you want to take the screenshot from, makes it look more like real zoom instead of just moving the camera closer to the plane.
@JoelyBoy Assuming you're using Windows 10, try this:
- Open the settings app
- Go to "Applications (or Apps, whichever one it's called)"
- Click "Default Applications"
- Click "Choose default apps by file type"
- Scroll down to ".splane"
- Click "Choose a default"
- Click "SimplePlanes.exe"
Sorry if some of these are named wrong, my Windows install is entirely on portuguese so I'm just translating the names.
why caps?
+1@SheriffHackdogMCPE ok i guess

+1@BeastHunter Thanks but i'd prefer if you remove those upvotes, i don't really like getting points like that.
+14 month late edit: lol
I don't get it? By the way, if you press F9 you can make the HUD invisible so it doesn't appear on screenshots
+1@Kampie the audio glitches out on really loud things lol

+1@jamesPLANESii Alright
+1@jamesPLANESii Can you check out if it works properly in VR now?
+1@jamesPLANESii I reuploaded the plane because of a few changes i made to it also yes it does have a landing gear switch
+1@IceCraftGaming no i just wrote that on a label on the side of the plane
+1@hpgbproductions He said 0.10%, 0.1 would be 10%

Wait so nothing except the screen broke? What does this look like if you try to open SP?

This comments section is a mess. @Vincent
Nope doesn't work.

@IceCraftGaming Why did you comment twice?
@Hypn0 Do you have a link to the "newspaper" you're mentioning?
@Spacepickle3214 Maybe everyone just likes planes more than cars?

@XAircraftManufacturer Maybe try 2 or 1?
@XAircraftManufacturer You probably used 30 fov, 3 would look noticeably distorted, almost as much as the designer blueprint view.
Oh nice, tag me on it

Nah.
What is the performance cost?
@Dragoranos Native speaker, I'm from Brazil.
@Dragoranos Sim.
@JoelyBoy When you said "It doesn't show SimplePlanes or .splane when I try and find them.", did the menu you checked look like this?
@JoelyBoy What menu did you check if there was an .splane extension in? Was it the one that displays a bunch of other extensions like .zip and .exe?
@JoelyBoy postimage.org or imgbb.com
@JoelyBoy yes
@JoelyBoy What does the "no app associated" error screen looks like? Can you screenshot that?
