@MrTyTheGreat the best option realy (or the best we have at the moment but i dont hink that the EM drive is realy a thing but i digress). its the lightest, has the best thrust to wheigt ratio and allows for both throw away and reusable booster systems with controlablr thust. only downside is that the engines have exactly one part that has a tendency to burn out quick: the pumps and to reuse them you need to dissamble the whole engine. and thats spacexs biggest weakspot: they still need to dissasemble the whole engine to check those buggers. but even that could change with the possible upcommign of piston pumps or electrical pumps in rockets (piston pumps are harder to kill and electrical pumps have a need for a repairdoor next to them).

@SledDriver small question: did you think that is is possible to build a composite beam in sp? ok not two diferent colored beams but two or more beams meeting at the point of earliest contact (its around 1.6 miles in front of the plane).
@MrTyTheGreat the boosters weren controlable because they used solid fuels. you cant controll solid fuel bosters. and stabilizing is also not possible with them. so dont count this as problems because this is theyr nature by build.
and yes i know that this is more the result of a pissing kontest in the industrie but he could try to push for a standard that would speed up things. also i am not sure if the mega factory is a good idea when you compare it with other industries in the vehicle sektor. but thats only some small thought.

@SledDriver i noticed something about musk that he does totaly wrong: he is the biggest electric car manufacturer at the moment but he does nothing to change the market. what is the biggest problem at the moment? charging times. whats the easiest way to deal with them? build the cars with easy changeable batterie packs and set the whole recharging network up in such a way that this batterie swap cuold be done when needed. rent out the batteries and give out the patent to every one to use. fun fact: it works look falter e-bikes from switzeland does this akku swaping thing.
