    Piston slap. I’ve watched this now for a while running at very low speeds to try and catch where it is binding at. The pistons are pushing the strut cartridge to its max retract position and does not allow the pistons to push to their final rise before sinking. Like a combustion engine, there is a gap between the top of the piston and the bottom of the valve train during the compression cycle. The piston position needs to sink first before combustion cycle or will cause this. Really cool experiment, I will be following now to see if this helps you. More clearance should help though.

    By far one of my favorites now. Dive bombed a bridge, couldn't quite pull up all the way, lost both port side engines and one starboard side. Still, this little plane made it back to my original runway on opposite side of the island.
