@BritishNarwhal yeah, just follow the manual directions for installation that are.in the post... and remember that you need to disable the mod and exit the game to turn gravity back on.
@WahrscheinlichIch Here's the beta version with scaling, though scaling it down is unlikely to make a noticeable difference in performance, as it's still 600 parts, with the same physics calculations and stuff happening... then again, I'm not sure how the size affects rendering performance.
Look at those, and tell me what the difference is, besides the fact that you left your own username, "SwagMaster", instead of putting "[UserName]", which was supposed to be replaced with your username anyway, so that would make what I said:
@Gamechievements Don't just try to open the mod, follow the directions for where to put it..?
I don't have Mac, but so far you're the only one who's reported it bringing you to the AppStore version, so... idk, make sure you followed the OSX directions properly?
@Gamechievements sigh... I guess probably whenever I get to officially releasing the version with the scale tool, though I wanted a more complete version before releasing on Steam, I've been pretty busy with other stuff, and it seems like getting much more done is going to take a while at this point :/
Just in case you didn't know, you can still manually install the PC/OSX version on your Steam build of the game.
@xboxsparta321 Sorry for the late reply, slipped past me :/
Anyway, yeah, that's because there was a bug when I made this, that you had to manually change the rotation of the new rotators when they were mirrored, but they fixed that by detecting mirrored rotators, and automatically rotating them... which also mucks up the rotation of ones that were manually rotated before, for some reason XD
I did release a new and improved version, which doesn't have the issue, though it may be harder to pilot effectively (and without blowing up), but I'm not actually sure.
@ThunderscreechEngineering the fine tuner doesn't affect how things are mirrored, or how they connect, so it'd be a stock game bug, but probably only happens when rotated at an angle that you can't get it at without a mod, or XML editing...
@JMicah4 "Android SDK", unless you plan on making Android apps in the future, don't bother with Android Studio, scroll down to "Get Just The Command Line Tools", and pick the installer or zip file... installer recommended.
@AeroMobilFlyingCar I looked into it, and I found the path I listed is only for the more recent versions of OSX, for older versions it should be /Users/NAME/Library/Containers/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Mods
Edit: ugh, it gets cut off... well, I added it to the main post, so get it from there I guess.
@GenrichTitov Hmm...might be because it was made with old mod tools, which might not be compatible with the latest version of the game? I'll try updating the mod tools if I get the time...
Also, if I made it twice as smooth, then it would have to many vertices for Unity... any round thing smoother than this, and I need to learn some new stuff (that's not a bad thing of course, but takes a lot of time).
They fixed the "remember me" button, stop visiting the http site, you need to visit the https site if you want to stay signed in.... unless it still doesn't work, in which case, it could be a bug, or settings in your browser, the site cookies are possibly getting wiped somehow.
@inspectregaben I actually thought about that... I probably won't, especially since Steam will handle updates for PC and OSX... but, for non-steam (like Android and Mac store, or anything else), it's certainly a nice idea... IDK
@birdsofsteel you are correct, however it's really buggy, and only for PC... hopefully I can fix it sometime, and then hopefully release on Android too :/
@fordzilla yeah, delete the .spmod file... from the directory that the original post above said to put the file in, under the installation instructions.
@ThunderscreechEngineering um... well... technically it should be possible... but I don't think I'll be doing that, and certainly not any time soon, sorry...
I can't see anything! And the lag... did you make everything run server-side?
It feels like it's almost completely server-side, but maybe that's just a side effect of something else you did XD
@inspectregaben The position is off a bit, even though we've accounted for everything that should matter for position, and it spits errors, and breaking detached parts more doesn't exactly function correctly...
@inspectregaben Physics are clientside, for the owner of the detached part, then they send the position and rotation to the server, which gives it to the other clients... and just deleting it? Then how are we supposed to have epic battles!?!?!??! Thanks but, no XD
@inspectregaben you can make custom parts, based off existing parts, with a custom model, but replacing the stock one would be... theoretically possible, somehow, but it'd be terrible XD
And yeah, you can also have custom scripts on the custom parts.
@inspectregaben It has the game check a file I've got uploaded somewhere, but it's pretty simple for Unity to read bytes from a remote file (there's a built-in helper class for it), it's a bit more complex to actually send anything out (though it shouldn't be too bad, I haven't really looked into it yet... so, maybe it's just as easy and I'm just clueless :P)
"the pilot model" isn't a mod... it's not even an XML edit, it's just a now hidden part, that wasn't even hidden a while back...
Who said it's never been official? The devs confirmed it at one point!
Well congrats...
Also, for future reference, it's Cthulhu (because the game files, made by the devs, call it Cthulhu)... and maybe we should get that guide renamed? :P
@inspectregaben @birdsofsteel @YourFish Yeah, the game files call it Cthulhu, so, it's Cthulhu :)
@BritishNarwhal yeah, just follow the manual directions for installation that are.in the post... and remember that you need to disable the mod and exit the game to turn gravity back on.

@CaesiciusPlanes It's not in the definite plans, sorry.
@CaesiciusPlanes work with... what?
@Gamechievements glad you got it to work, though...
@Gamechievements no it isn't, in the main post I said:
You said:
Look at those, and tell me what the difference is, besides the fact that you left your own username, "SwagMaster", instead of putting "[UserName]", which was supposed to be replaced with your username anyway, so that would make what I said:
For you (assuming that's your real username), which makes them identical.
@Gamechievements ... that's exactly where the directions (the ones in the main post, that I told you to follow) said to put the mod file -_-
@Gamechievements Don't just try to open the mod, follow the directions for where to put it..?
I don't have Mac, but so far you're the only one who's reported it bringing you to the AppStore version, so... idk, make sure you followed the OSX directions properly?
I can't really help past this :/
@Gamechievements Just follow the PC or OSX directions in the main post for installation
@Gamechievements sigh... I guess probably whenever I get to officially releasing the version with the scale tool, though I wanted a more complete version before releasing on Steam, I've been pretty busy with other stuff, and it seems like getting much more done is going to take a while at this point :/

@EnchantedChrome Drag the group of parts to the upper-left corner of the screen
@ThunderscreechEngineering the fine tuner doesn't affect how things are mirrored, or how they connect, so it'd be a stock game bug, but probably only happens when rotated at an angle that you can't get it at without a mod, or XML editing...

@SpiritusRaptor OSX uses the same file as PC, so the "PC download" that I listed here should work :)
@MasterManufacturingCo I don't think I understand, what exactly happens, and when?
@AeroMobilFlyingCar I looked into it, and I found the path I listed is only for the more recent versions of OSX, for older versions it should be
/Users/NAME/Library/Containers/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Mods
Edit: ugh, it gets cut off... well, I added it to the main post, so get it from there I guess.
@Cjredwards I've done a version that does scale... I should release that XD.
As for input... erm... it's not in the plans, but... maybe...
@GenrichTitov Hmm...might be because it was made with old mod tools, which might not be compatible with the latest version of the game? I'll try updating the mod tools if I get the time...

No

@WalrusManufacturingCO Write it down, I'm not an alarm, scheduler, or RemindMeBot of reddit.
@Redlord Thanks, good to hear :)
@WalrusManufacturingCO yeah, though it's not officially released yet, you can try it here
@birdsofsteel yeah, though it's not officially released yet, you can try it here
@ValtsuAircraftIndustries
@birdsofsteel you are correct, however it's really buggy, and only for PC... hopefully I can fix it sometime, and then hopefully release on Android too :/
Does anyone know where I could get some Gros Michel bananas?
@fordzilla yeah, delete the .spmod file... from the directory that the original post above said to put the file in, under the installation instructions.
@ThunderscreechEngineering um... well... technically it should be possible... but I don't think I'll be doing that, and certainly not any time soon, sorry...
I keep dying, and it says nobody else is there (which looks to be true), I want a refund!
:P
LOL, I died but my shadow and eyes are still floating around...
And uh... we should like... have a Wormy McWorm Face chat...
I can't see anything! And the lag... did you make everything run server-side?
It feels like it's almost completely server-side, but maybe that's just a side effect of something else you did XD
@ThunderscreechEngineering
1. with a text editor.
2. I don't understand.
@fordzilla install the new version, overwrite the old file... and if you've got the scale button then it worked
@GenrichTitov look at the image, that's the rotator between the blocks, disable base mesh makes it look like that.
@inspectregaben ... No, the devs added floating origin (a long time ago) so that doesn't matter, and we accounted for the floating origin.
@inspectregaben No, I didn't do anything to the aircraft loading.
And there's nothing new, since we got detached parts to sync NOT QUITE right :/
@JacobHardy64 No, it was a post he put on here, which he actually deleted shortly after XD
@inspectregaben something like that, and Unity does it automatically
@inspectregaben you can make custom parts, based off existing parts, with a custom model, but replacing the stock one would be... theoretically possible, somehow, but it'd be terrible XD
And yeah, you can also have custom scripts on the custom parts.
@inspectregaben I was thinking PM on reddit, which I would specify (and verify my username for them).
