@Lucasmah Still working on debris sync... currently waiting for a response from the devs about some information that could make debris sync 5 times easier.
While waiting I've been thinking of the possibility to let other mods use a provided script to sync stuff they need to sync, but I'm not sure about that yet, literally just thinking (ok, and a tiny bit of conversing...)
@FIRESHOOTER my planes? Haha, cool... I haven't made any in a while, I'm slowly working on a surfboard with a stickman laying down on it... balance is hard!
@Meawk here's the video we ALREADY have of the MP mod in action: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ_Z8-ikx0w
Since then we've fixed bugs and begun on debris/detached parts sync.
@Meawk No, you wouldn't, you just need players that are willing to host servers, and have the other players type in the server IP address.
You'd only need dedicated servers if you want server lists, or to have servers that are always up, etc.
Also, before someone asks (nothing against anyone, just that someone always asks), iOS will NOT be supported because Apple's policy makes this kind of mod impossible, and Android MIGHT happen, we'll look into it once PC works as intended.
@LeoBrasi huh... did you try the manual creation of the mods folder, then? And then put the mod in?
I'm not sure what to say, your file explorer should detect SP can open it, but sometimes mine doesn't detect it either, I don't know how to fix it...
@LeoBrasi if it's not where Skua said, it's because SP might not have the folder until it's needed, so either try to open the SPmod-Android with SimplePlanes, or if you can't do that, then manually create the mods folder in the same folder that has the AircraftDesigns folder (right where Skua said. ), then put the mod in the newly created "mods" folder, then run SP and scroll down to enable the mod.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries But... but... but... ok fine...
If they make SimpleBoats, they need to have waves, otherwise it really couldn't add much more than SP now that we have fuselage blocks... pretty much what it could add is, boat propellers, and some parts to make the boat builder easier/faster...
Oh, and underwater! SUBMARINES!!!
On a side note, they have been planning SimpleRockets 2, though they aren't sure if it'll be the next game or not...
@NovaTopaz Unity supports PS3, PS4, PSVita, Xbox360, Xbox One, and Wii U. Source.
Also, during the year after release of PS4, Sony gave out tons of PS4 devkits to Indies, and they pretty much let you sign up as a developer if they think your game will work (and prosper) on PS4 and you have proper qualifications (and in this case, all the games Jundroo has successfully launched count as qualifications). For Xbox One you literally email them and you usually become a dev (well, you need to go through screening before publicly publishing, but you can start development straight away).
they could probably get a new game on Consoles with little issue...
Though I agree they shouldn't because it's a ton more work and SDKs they'd need to deal with.
@TheLatentImage I know, I'm just wondering if they are gonna bring it back, since as far as I'm aware they only removed it because of some Unity bugs, and I was there in the beta, I loved that mini-map!
It was in the beta for SP version 1.3, but due to some issues with the Unity version they published the beta with, they had to remove it. I thought it was temporary...
@andrewgarrison, @philiptarpley, @nathanmikeska, is the minimap coming back?
(obviously they've gotta at least get out the update for mobile first...)
Anyone who's going to do this, you might want to install my Limitless Editor Mod so you can zoom out infinitely... then again, it's buggy and is likely to turn the camera while editing settings if you use v0.6, so I would recommend that you only use the scroll button to turn the camera and just use V0.5 if you get it, both downloads are linked on the reddit post.

Edit: should I post this on the challenge plane as well?
@Mod there's no need for that many "pre"s!
"I get news from UO himself"... yeah, and I program the mod... seriously, two or three "pre"s would have been fine! :P
(Well, ok, four is accurate for the version in the video... XD)
I'll check my Gmail on PC in the morning... I usually just check on mobile, but this stupid email app doesn't send me all the notifications it should!
@Flightsonic I don't know.
when SP 1.3 came out we noticed a slight position mis-sync (it was there before), and now that we've got that solved, we're back onto debris sync, but SimplePlanes makes it sorta tricky to efficiently detect what parts or partgroups have broken off or detached, and we need to make sure it doesn't use to much bandwidth...
I'm hoping it'll be done this year, since there's kinda most of it left XD
@Jasperjl Unfortunately, no, because Apple's policy doesn't allow any mods on iOS.
Android is a possibility, but we haven't looked into it much yet, because we want to get PC version working how we want it first.
A while later there was a mobile alpha also hosted on gumroad, then Google play beta, and release.
Edit: I made the link clickable, because SimplePlanes site formatting messed up the link slightly, there is a '_' between "SimplePlanes", and "early", and between "early" and access".... plus, everyone likes clickable links anyway
@Equa88 I simply said it was a brilliant idea to replace "weaselzone" with "potato"... I dunno if I can get more calm about that, and I've never posted on anything to do with weaselzone before.
People really should read the short rule list when they first join, but expecting that would be dumber than not reading the rules (everyone has dumb moments, I'm not trying to insult anyone)
@Sirstupid that's brilliant!
@goboygo1 he used a plugin for Google chrome that turns "WeaselZone" into "potato", so he no longer sees "weaselzone bomber", he sees "potato bomber"... although, what if someone posts a genuine potato bomber SirStupid?
@Sirstupid It's better than anything I could write :P
So it was the Windows key stuck down? If not, just wanna make sure, "sticky keys" is an accessibility feature on windows, hit shift 5 times quickly (might take more than five... or my PC is just weird... which it is)
You need to edit the xml file of the plane (on PC they're stored at "C:/Users/YourUsername/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlane/AircraftDesigns"... I think... I'm on mobile right now so I can't check)
I prefer to save the design, and then edit Editor.xml so I don't lose my design if I mess up.
Just open it in any text editor (unless you wanna get an xml editor, for highlighting and to reduce mistakes), find the fuselage you want to edit (the PartType tag closest to the bottom is the last one added, but if I don't know when I added it I give it recognizable/unique dimensions in SP editor and search for those dimensions in the xml), and change it's... end size? I forgot what variable it is... just experiment, it's got three numbers I think, like "1,1,2", and there is one for each end of the fuselage.
Edit: grr... where's the formatting page on this site? I need to escape it for editor.xml which has three (_ ) on both sides of editor...
Also, I see Skua beat me... I'll leave this here for some detail, but you'll need to figure out more detail anyway
Sometime in January... and if you want, the devs could rush, get it to you sooner... and it will be crap because they didn't put in the time it needs to port. They take the time they NEED to take to make it good!
There is much more to it than that, that's like saying that SimplePlanes is just throwing parts together and seeing if they fly... but I can't stand watching it, never could, and I don't play anymore either.
Just FYI, I think most of the community is American...
Also, us (yeah I'm American, and beans on toast sounds... ok if they are like baked beans? I'll try it sometime...) not getting beans on toast is just like you not getting chocolate covered ants (unless you do get it... I shouldn't assume such things).
To me football is American football, but I really think that we should switch to your way, because foot doesn't make contact with the ball a lot in our "football"...
@DEATH2REVIVE I don't have to. From my first comment:
"However, me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod..."
It's already fun to just fly around and crash into each other, but it will be much more awesome once I get the detacher and debris sync working properly.
Oh, and before someone asks, you can't get the mod yet, release date is to be determined.
@DEATH2REVIVE Complications with physics, and they'd need to pay for servers, and provide much more support... it would just be a huge pain, and they had other things to work on in the game...

No, it's been about a month.
The devs will release it when it's ready... it's in beta right now.
Also, use the search feature, your post is the trillionth one today (no, not literally! It's just a lot)
The devs ARE on it! Maybe you should try developing apps for PC, Mac, Android, and iOS.
They'll release it when it's ready!
P.S. They said the END of the month, and they didn't guarantee it, because sometime $!@# happens
@FIRESHOOTER my planes? Haha, cool... I haven't made any in a while, I'm slowly working on a surfboard with a stickman laying down on it... balance is hard!
It will not have multiplayer, not even PC has multiplayer...
There is a multiplayer mod in development, but unfortunately Apple's policy prevents it from being used on iOS...

Me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod... and host is planned to be able to set restrictions.
@FIRESHOOTER UnstableOrbit is the idea, support, and PR guy... I'm the one coding it...
@Ropple release date is TBD (To Be Decided).
Also, before someone asks (nothing against anyone, just that someone always asks), iOS will NOT be supported because Apple's policy makes this kind of mod impossible, and Android MIGHT happen, we'll look into it once PC works as intended.

I'm not sure what to say, your file explorer should detect SP can open it, but sometimes mine doesn't detect it either, I don't know how to fix it...
@LeoBrasi did you use."spmod-Android" extension? It has to be that one for Android.
@AceSquadIndustries it has to have the full extension "spmod-Android" for Android, I don't think the smoke mod has an Android version?
@LeoBrasi if it's not where Skua said, it's because SP might not have the folder until it's needed, so either try to open the SPmod-Android with SimplePlanes, or if you can't do that, then manually create the mods folder in the same folder that has the AircraftDesigns folder (right where Skua said. ), then put the mod in the newly created "mods" folder, then run SP and scroll down to enable the mod.

@FullFruntall Haha, yeah... just gotta figure out how to make it look good...

@Skua You're welcome, and thank you, it really boosts morale to hear that :)

@Flightsonic I don't know.

@Flightsonic :/
@Skua thank you, glad someone remembers :p
(Just kidding, don't worry Flightsonic)
@JovianPat lol, nah I've just been closely following since it was announced XD
@Jasperjl Unfortunately, no, because Apple's policy doesn't allow any mods on iOS.
Android is a possibility, but we haven't looked into it much yet, because we want to get PC version working how we want it first.
@JovianPat They designed the interface with mobile in mind I think, but it was on PC first, here's the first alpha release (which has a link to SP on gumroad): https://www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/comments/2b5bfq/simpleplanesearlyaccess/
A while later there was a mobile alpha also hosted on gumroad, then Google play beta, and release.

A note to anyone who'll edit it, it was released on PC (I think Mac, too?) gumroad BEFORE Android and iOS...
I know you already know from your other post, but for anyone who doesn't, me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod.

Sounds like the windows key on your keyboard is stuck down or something
It needs to have the extension SPmod-Android, not just spmod, and you just open it, and if asked with what, select SimplePlanes if you can.
The goal is by the end of January, last I knew.
You need to edit the xml file of the plane (on PC they're stored at "C:/Users/YourUsername/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlane/AircraftDesigns"... I think... I'm on mobile right now so I can't check)

First Alpha Release on gumroad... I had completely forgotten that the canyons on Jundroo island weren't always there XD
@bobthetitan @ronyseptian17 Actually what I did was but three "*" on each side... that way it doesn't get big.
What I Did
Big And Bold
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries My eyes aren't public, so I don't see the problem? :P
Sometime in January... and if you want, the devs could rush, get it to you sooner... and it will be crap because they didn't put in the time it needs to port. They take the time they NEED to take to make it good!
@AeroEngineering Then you haven't played it XD

@icecoldlava Happy New year!

Share plane with friends can already be done, with the share button in the plane designer.
And me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod.
@DEATH2REVIVE Complications with physics, and they'd need to pay for servers, and provide much more support... it would just be a huge pain, and they had other things to work on in the game...
They tried multiplayer a long time ago, and decided not to do it.
However, me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod, for PC and possibly Android
