@AeroEngineering Well I think @Delphinus has explained pretty well, since that XML is just the parts you're not allowed to use for the level, and unless they are protecting from parts in a mod that used that ID somehow (Mod's part IDs are automatically set with the mod name in them, so that wouldn't happen), they may be considering adding a new one, or maybe they messed up and added an extra one that doesn't exist :P
Oops, didn't read the question part of your post... I think you can mod on Mac, pretty much the same way as on PC, but I don't have a Mac so, uh... @RocketLL..?
@ronyseptian17 here's what I said on the uservoice (in case anyone else is also wondering, and I don't know if uservoice notifies you)
Well AI is on Android, and mod support is on Android, so I'd expect so, but since Android can barely handle the current AI except on the most recent devices, custom AI might make it lag... and of course it's up to the devs to add it at all, so it's whatever they decide.
@TheRicks2 not as many people have AR, as VR, or do you intend for SimplePlanes to turn the phone into an AR device? I guess that would be it, sorry I was thinking "full" AR...
And yes they can choose whether to add it, of course... they chose not to add multiplayer because the estimated work+time to returns didn't balance out though, and almost everyone wants that, so they'd probably get a lot more returns for MP than AR... but I don't know which one would be more difficult.
There is no direct mod support for it, but since we can use C# and .NET in mods, it's technically possible through use of a thing called "reflection", but you'll need fair knowledge of programming in C# (you can learn, google is vital XD).
@Flightsonic You don't, you just need to download the Android SDK on the PC, and tell Unity where the SDK is (I forget how, but I don't think it's hard, please google...)
@JMicah4 tiny cockpit, cheat lock, but if you're not in the modders group and logged in in the browser the link opens in, you won't be able to see them.
@FrankieB From Steam library, click SimplePlanes (once), and on the right click discussions, then near the top there should be some tabs, and workshop will be one of them.
We've yet to determine what can/can't be supported on mobile from this update. I know we have AI in races/dogfight current on mobile, but we don't yet know if we want to introduce AI to sandbox and potentially slow down the general gameplay people use so often. We literally have not play-tested it at all yet to see how it feels.
It seems like the destroyers should be able to be included though, but again...we have not really decided on anything.
@Thefalloutplayr that's not an image link -_-
I explained how to make sure it's an image link already:
If you're viewing it in google, that link won't work, because it's not the direct image link, you'll want to click "view image" or right click (I mean, long tap, hold, whatever), and select open image, or copy image address, and use that link instead.
If the link doesn't end with the file extension of an image type, it won't work, so something like .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png. and you can't just add that to link, make sure you've got the direct link.
@JetstreamAeroEngineering yeah but you don't use the link that is google view the image, with their web page, you copy the image address itself which google had embedded in their own page... that's what I was explaining.
@FrankieB that's not an image link, it must be a direct link, ending with image type file extension.
Right click the image, and hit "open image", then use that link, or if it's an option hit "copy image address".
@Thefalloutplayr That'll work... well I'm not sure what you mean by directly from the picture itself? If you're viewing it in google, that link won't work, because it's not the direct image link, you'll want to click "view image" or right click (I mean, long tap, hold, whatever), and select open image, or copy image address, and use that link instead.

@Thefalloutplayr oh, if you didn't know this part, you'll need to upload the image first if you took it, imgur is great for that, just make a free account and upload (though uploading from any mobile device isn't as easy as PC, at least without the app, but they have an app, I just can't get it so I don't know how much better it is)
At least you don't have all of @Skua's Scintillias attacking you! :P
The devs called this "buzz mode", but the planes are supposed to fly a fair bit in front of you, so they like, don't crash and burn (along with you), as often happens... they'll probably fix this before it leaves beta...
@bjac0 I know, he should do something, if he actually intends the rule breaking and spam then you'd think he'd reinforce it, and if not you'd think he'd tell them to stop breaking the rules, but he hasn't...
He did mention he's recording videos ahead of time, and didn't say how far ahead, but this should be a top priority thing if he doesn't mean to crush the community.
@bjac0 he hasn't responded in a video or comment, that's for sure.
But these different users just maybe don't watch his videos as soon?!?!! Plus alts.
I scanned through comments and videos since that one where he called us haters, and he doesn't seem to have mentioned SimplePlanes or us or "the haters" since then.
@deusalgor Yeah thanks! This update kind of added some extra stuff we'll want to sync, but I think for the first release we'll just disable the destroyers and AI in sandbox, or ignore them...
I didn't find it all that confusing, you can still use the old button to mirror the whole craft, or the bottom option of the mirror buttons to mirror the selected part (unless you haven't selected a part, then it mirrors from the left), that's basically all you need, though it speeds things up to remember all the buttons.
You just need to adjust.
Edit: and you can hover over buttons to see a description of what they do.
Note: it isn't accurate when hovering over Aircraft Properties.

@Halfstrike @SUPERSAMROCK yeah it's spelled "course".
And uh, it's not in-game but there is mod support, and you could make a whole new map with that, or add stuff to the current map.
It's in the top 10 suggestions on the User voice now!
If you haven't voted for it yet, we can still get higher on the list ;)
@ronyseptian17 here's what I said on the uservoice (in case anyone else is also wondering, and I don't know if uservoice notifies you)

It would be far more work to implement than VR, AND even less people would be able to use it...
@KingDeadshot I am a ninja, I edit too fast for you! :P (no really, I edited it like 5 seconds before your comment got through... thanks though! XD)
It seems to be a modification of @Authros' P-51 Mustang, and here's the version that's actually in the challenge.
There is no direct mod support for it, but since we can use C# and .NET in mods, it's technically possible through use of a thing called "reflection", but you'll need fair knowledge of programming in C# (you can learn, google is vital XD).
@Thunderscreech oh, you need to put it like this
[link text](URL)
(yes, with square brackets and parentheses) for it to be clickable.That's an XML Edit.
And if you want people to help you, you could at least link them to the plane you are asking for help with
@Flightsonic dev console* (sorry if you were joking, repeating it the same way...)
@Flightsonic Well not the Android SDK, but yeah.
@Ahtzee Mobile devices need the power to handle it to make it even.
@sheepsblood OSX has steam -_-
(if you own it on the OSX store but not Steam, you can get a steam key by contacting Jundroo)
@FrankieB From Steam library, click SimplePlanes (once), and on the right click discussions, then near the top there should be some tabs, and workshop will be one of them.
@FrankieB you need to join the SimplePlanes modders group on Steam

@Thefalloutplayr Congrats
@Thefalloutplayr that's not an image link -_-
I explained how to make sure it's an image link already:
@TheTekkit101 it will mark them as unflyable if it can't manage to fly them, and it won't load the unflyable ones again :)
@Thefalloutplayr

NO SPACESthat's exclamation mark, open square bracket, close square bracket, open parentheses, image link, close parentheses.
@FrankieB Congrats
@JetstreamAeroEngineering yeah but you don't use the link that is google view the image, with their web page, you copy the image address itself which google had embedded in their own page... that's what I was explaining.
@FrankieB and no spaces between non-letter characters.

@Thefalloutplayr Exactly the same way.

No spaced between any of the non-letter characters, or in the image link.
+3@Pauciloquent Ahahaha, I edited my comment to include the bit you speak of in your edit XD
@Pauciloquent No the devs said they removed it, UnstableOrbit didn't just make that up, he got that information from the devs.
Edit: and below in the comments here, AndrewGarrison said:
if it was a bug he would have said it's a bug.
@FrankieB the old one is certainly less jagged... now that I see them up close I actually remember when they switched and I was wondering why XD
@FrankieB I guess a little bit...
Current Landing Gear
Old Landing Gear
P.S. I didn't mean to make the sizes so different XD.
@FrankieB Um, it's the same as the plain non-retractable landing gear.??
Minor Bug: When an AI plane has engines over-speeding, it shows on your screen as if it was yours.
At least you don't have all of @Skua's Scintillias attacking you! :P
The devs called this "buzz mode", but the planes are supposed to fly a fair bit in front of you, so they like, don't crash and burn (along with you), as often happens... they'll probably fix this before it leaves beta...
No it's the AI racing their planes, and this one doesn't allow XML editing your engines or fuel.
There should be a report option for this, I dislike you now.
@bjac0 I know, he should do something, if he actually intends the rule breaking and spam then you'd think he'd reinforce it, and if not you'd think he'd tell them to stop breaking the rules, but he hasn't...

They mods have tried to contact him through PM, I don't know how that went.
@NovaTopaz Hashtag makes it blue and big, but if you want the hashtag to also be big and blue do hashtag backslash hashtag.
#SaveTheDragView!
I almost never use it, but when I do I NEED IT!
#SaveTheDragView!
