    It's ok.
    Re-learning stuff wouldn't be hard right?
    Right?

    I don't know.
    Guess you could add refueling probe to it and pretend it is Raptor from the US navy lol.

    lol
    Wasp has some fly-by-wire by default.
    It just way too simple for you I guess.

  • [AI] Wasp tanker 2.0 years ago

    @SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore
    lol
    You'll need a bigger Wasp.

  • [AI] Wasp tanker 2.0 years ago

    @Soulless_Reaper
    I guess not.
    My Raptor don't have any fuel receptor.
    If somehow in-game tanker has refueling boom, I'd be happy to add fuel receptor to my Raptor.

    @PriusCat Thanks.

    Press f9 for pc, for mobile, I don't know.
    Disabling hud is a feature in game.

    @Bryan5
    Your guess is so close lol.

    @GHOST8478478
    I used TargetSelected for it, with some FT to make it permanent so once it went aggressive it'll stay aggressive.

    @ACEVIPER9710
    To put it simply, you can play around with number behind PitchRate.
    Like PitchRate/50, PitchRate/100, PitchRate/500 etc.

    @MobileBuilder21
    I get your point now.
    Not that I don't know it but I haven't find a suitable solution to it, yet.
    I actually want to make the tail pipe hollow but the real in-game engine need to be at the end of the tail pipe to redirect thrust properly.

    Use gyro.
    Also, don't forget to remove any pitch roll yaw and throttle control or the ai will surely use them.

    I'm not sure what you trying to say.
    But engine nozzle do bend while in VTOL mode.

  • Refueling into the sunset 2.0 years ago

    This is my side project, Wasp tanker.
    It pair well with my WIP F-35b refueling assist system.
    I kinda wish the tanker in SP have a realistic hose so I make it myself.

    @SimpleVienne
    Am I?
    I mean... this plane is like I have to make 3 separate flight model.
    Also have them all in 1 plane and make sure that they don't interfere with each other.
    Debugging is time consuming ngl.

    @RNManufactures
    The Funky Tree code.
    The easiest way to identify fly-by-wire is to observe the plane, if the control surfaces move without input or they follow your input but change their deflection according to situation.

  • F-35B VTOL system showcase 2.0 years ago

    @Soulless_Reaper
    Guess you could fly it, I'm trying to keep the performance cost the same.

  • F-22 (Black VR Edition) 2.0 years ago

    @cosman
    I'll check it out.

  • F-22 (Black VR Edition) 2.0 years ago

    @Khanhlam
    Well...
    This plane was built back when variable system wasn't a thing so I have to jam the entire code in one spot.
    Also, the update 1.11 version, I tend to touch the old code as little as possible so it get even more spaghetti.
    Also, I didn't know that using "enter" button will affect the logic or not so I just don't use it.

  • F-22 (Black VR Edition) 2.1 years ago

    @cosman
    Interesting way to calculate the gravity vector.
    And thanks for explaining it to me.
    I've never though of using rate(-AngleOfSlip) before, I'll think about that with my next build.
    And I'll follow so I'll don't miss anything cool.

  • F-35B VTOL system showcase 2.1 years ago

    @UltraLight
    I might need to do more research on this, I only rely on the code to make an adjustment without directly control the angle.

    Fly by wire is a tall order anyway, just take time because there are so many thing to learn.

    @UltraLight
    I do this the way in real life does it.
    I didn't use arcsin or arccos though, I set range of motion of rotators to 90, my command usually output from -1 to 1 so it'll translate nicely to -90 and 90 degrees.

  • F-22 (Black VR Edition) 2.1 years ago

    This definitely feels difference.
    Good job.
    And I just don't understand the "1) Corrected YawRate Expression", you can make yaw rate and angle of slip be 0 at high bank angle?
    Or am I missing something lol, from my exp, I can keep yaw rate 0 but angle of slip will increase at high bank angle and if I keep angle of slip 0, the plane will yaw toward the ground like a dart at high bank angle.

  • ATF-X40 2.1 years ago

    @Khanhlam
    I think it have some realistic aspect to it.
    It lose speed pretty quick when turning with full pitch, real plane could do this if they are strong enough to handle the load.
    If aoa limiter and pitch rate limiter was realistic, I'm sure this plane would fly realistic.
    And I don't talk about engine power because this is futuristic plane, super powerful engines might exist by then.

  • UF-58 Advanced 2.1 years ago

    Cool fly by wire.
    I think this is good candidate for more unstable and psm type of flying.

  • Pure PSM, Just add Plane .... 2.1 years ago

    @Zaineman
    I'm doing very well, thanks Z.
    I just have too many things to do lol.
    The way you build for humor might be a way for non-coding player to do PSM you know?
    I'd love to have this too if I'm just starting FT.

  • Pure PSM, Just add Plane .... 2.2 years ago

    I don't know if this is part of a plan or not but if you scale those wings down and leaving some blocks as anchor point for control surfaces, fuselage and engine, you'll have a perfect PSM system waiting for plane to be add.
    Just keep in mind that the plane need to be mass-less and drag-less.
