sooo... I took it for a few more flights...
changed the rear landing gear like the front one with turning..
and I really love flying this plane!
I'm making a couple of videos of it if you don't mind.

@HuskyDynamics01 that minute of waiting is just a bonus to piss you off when you're waiting after crashing...

yeah the hardest thing in this challenge is the FOCUS!!!!
Tho the glorious crashes make the pain somewhat easier...
    .
    My brain throughout this Challenge:
    No Music JUST FOCUS!!!
    But gyro... NO!! FOCUS!!
The cat wants attention (gets chucked to the bed) FOCUS!!!!!!!!!
But I really just wa... F-O-C-U-S!

doesn't the tail wheel rotate in any way?
    no taxiing?
NM... a list of control would be helpful..
    or in the aircraft instructions.

  • Bell-430 1.8 years ago

this is a good simple build.
but I had to setup somethings to make it fly nicer...
    -moving the gyro to AG-7
-adding 15° to pitch and roll on the cyclic
I was surprised at how well it flies without gyro, and how easy it was.
    great job :)

  • specialized Enduro (wip) 2.0 years ago

    Cool Idea!
I have a bit of experience making bikes, I also worked in a bicycle shop for a long time IRL, and worked on quite a few Enduro models, I even owned a couple of Big-Hit bikes myself ;)
I made a bike (motorcycle) a while back and it solved a few problems I had with balance.. Here's a link it has a tutorial to take it apart.
just so you can see the control layout and what I did to have flexible control for doing all sorts of tricks and such, feel free to use any of it or not if it doesn't fit your idea.
    - The one thing I would recommend is, Think of the Gyro as if it was the Rider...
where the center of gravity is compared to the bike (usually around where the seat is), and how body movement can be translated to the gyro.
feel free to ask me anything, or to tell me to shut up and stay out of it ;)

  • Orca III flat spin... 2.0 years ago

@7 Probably I'll give it a test in the advanced model...
There's going to be 2 main Orca III uploads to reflect GDI's subfactions:
-Orca III for VR and general flying (GDI & GDI ZOCOM) + other skins & weapons.
-Orca III Advanced VR controls (GDI Steel Talons) which is the dual control one.
tho I'll probably need help stabilizing it again for VR after adding all the new stuff and finishing the cockpit ;)
