@vcharng no. It's not just that it will be backwards. You mistakenly wrote LandingGear instead of GearDown. Not only is it reversed, if you actually use LandingGear and have your code for the modern gear retraction the gear will actually only retract halfway. Plus, you said yourself that LandingGear is 1 when extended and -1 when retracted. In reality, LandingGear is 1 when retracted and 0 when retracted. What you said is true for (and what your code works for) is GearDown which is 1 when extended and -1 when retracted.
Moderators have very strict rules against it, and ED has seen FeiWu's challenges. If he was point farming, the challenges would be taken down.
ED has also said that if entries are not graded and prizes not handed out within two weeks of the entry deadline, the host will be ban-worthy if someone reports the challenge.
@UltraLight don't expect this to be too popular. The categories may only have 2 or 3 entires in each. Unless you somehow show the big names you're the best plane judger in the world, don't expect too much lol
This is from my own experiences. I did a bush plane challenge a month earlier.
I mean, I hope this criticism is constructive.
1. Are you sure you want to lift all those fragile hydraulics and avionics and control surfaces up there in the tail? Tail cargo doors are usually just a ramp.
2. What can you fit in a cabin with a 4m height? I mean, this is a quad jet. The engines are overkill too.
3. Why do you have the horizontal stabs halfway up the vertical stab? I mean, not everything in aviation is about looking cool and unique. The B-1 has this weird configuration for a reason.
4. I appreciate the cockpit skylight, but because of the size of the plane as previously mentioned, this vision range from the cockpit would be worthy of breaking every single one of the loosest regulations in existence. I'm sorry, but ILS and automated landings is obviously not available for the small airfields this plane is supposed to fly to, and automated takeoffs are illegal in all circumstances.
5. The excessively low wing sweep=bad
6. Engines sooooooo close to each other=bad
7. Engine intakes placed under wing=bad
8. Wing loading=bad
(aim for 40-70lb/ft^2 next time)
9. too low wing aspect ratio=bad
I mean, is this a glider?
I think you should learn from the mistakes and be willing to accept constructive criticism.
@KnightOfRen again, this looks nice and all but I suggest you at least pay some more attention to detail and look a bit more closely at the pictures next time. The flight model is poor. Sorry. I hope this is constructive criticism. Other things are just fine. Just the shape of the plane
@Grob0s0VBRa oh lol
That's weird.
I think if the legs warp, you can partially reduce the problem by adding small xml scaled tires that are rotated such that the side touches the ground, and the side with the attachment point is pointing straight up. Nudge these tires and attach them to the legs so that only they touch the ground. That might work, but idk because i can't try this yet
@thebanbehindtheslaughter for the best "blowing up" effect, publish the planes at 10AM eastern to ensure a majority of players are still awake upon release.

@EternalDarkness I honestly thought with the thumbnail and the autocredit this was an entire plane, but this is just the engine. Does this break any rules?
bruh
bruh
@vcharng oh ok
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook lol
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook @tsampoy @WiiWiiTheMini to address the oversized engines and wings, this is a shortened variant of the original plane.
@vcharng no. It's not just that it will be backwards. You mistakenly wrote

please change it.
@SavageMan a rather c o n t r o v e r s i a l meme too.
@KnightOfRen thanks
@rexrexThezion
1. You know about me (prev. known as APilotOfPlanes)
2. This community is toxic, at least to me. You don’t feel it.
@KnightOfRen
ED has also said that if entries are not graded and prizes not handed out within two weeks of the entry deadline, the host will be ban-worthy if someone reports the challenge.
bruh
yeah. basically people are picking on my word choice now.
@KnightOfRen yay lol

Oh and of course everything I say receives criticism
@QuitePossiblyMangled oh lol but in the case of when there are no bookmarks it is not needed
@QuitePossiblyMangled I suggest not to write "Intro" as a title for the intro. It's redundant.
@SmallyRocket I'm sorry I haven't been able to grade planes recently. Results should come this weekend.

@PapaKernels ok but it is still possible in some cases to preserve realism while keeping the fun factor xD
@KLM_747 HWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
@AndrewGarrison @KnightOfRen no we need realistic airport markings more than all else.
Please put those in 1.11
@KLM_747 but I thought you can use lights to reduce part count and noise lol
@KnightOfRen sorry I just accidentally clicked "reply" xD
@PapaKernels
Some obvious flaws with the design:
I mean, I hope this criticism is constructive.

@Grob0s0VBRa sure, turn off all collisions
@KnightOfRen oh lol
That's an improvement!
@KnightOfRen again, this looks nice and all but I suggest you at least pay some more attention to detail and look a bit more closely at the pictures next time. The flight model is poor. Sorry. I hope this is constructive criticism. Other things are just fine. Just the shape of the plane
@SavageMan OMG you madman you actually did it
@KennethKennethTheKenneth
PLEASE RENAME THIS TO "TRISTAR II" IN HONOR OF THE ORIGINAL TRISTAR
The plane is quite cartoonish tho
idk why but it looks funny because of the gear and wings
F
Who are these moderators anyway?
@Grob0s0VBRa oh lol
That's weird.

@NexusGaming ah lol
@Grob0s0VBRa if you have durability problems (if parts explode), use
health=100000
in xml@NexusGaming the main gear is still angled, meaning it acts as a wedge and the plane is not able to move easily.
@thebanbehindtheslaughter lol
@thebanbehindtheslaughter for the best "blowing up" effect, publish the planes at 10AM eastern to ensure a majority of players are still awake upon release.
@KLM_747 can you plz also make a ~3000 part semi-mobile-friendly version?

@QuitePossiblyMangled oh lol
and this is actually my first published plane
@EternalDarkness I honestly thought with the thumbnail and the autocredit this was an entire plane, but this is just the engine. Does this break any rules?
you copied this from somewhere
@QuitePossiblyMangled I appreciate the upvotes, but what is this?
@NojusGindrenas so we still have no entries. sorry.
@NexusGaming you have to angle the gear so it doesn't serve as passive hyper braking :/
@Jorgebr but you have to give points for performance too.
