@rondavison are you using vr? It’s hard to fly if not. The feather is on the roof of the cockpit to the left and forward of the throttle. The landing gear lever is also there; it is the furthest forward. Hope this helps
@rondavison there is a feather lever inside the cockpit. Like a transmission, this engages(rotates) the propellers. Move the lever forward to take off. Move it backwards to reverse thrust. Center is neutral(default setting) which is why you are over-revving
