@CRJ900Pilot Aww. I build so slow that if I don't love it then I just stop building it. That's what happened when I tried to make a B-29. Didn't love, never got past making the nose.
@ACMECo1940 Basically, weight is a number on the stat-sheet but bears little relevance in terms of realism for me. But I'm sure you can sort all this out your own way. Link me when it's posted, ok?
I've found that the way the game handles acceleration, wind resistance and gravity make it so that having a "realistic" weight means the plane handles like it weighs about 1/3 as much as it should.
@Tazziedevil04 Oh the uglieness is only a small portion of her many virtues. The Belphegor was incomfortablu loud, fuel hungry and costly to maintain. Much more difficult to operate than the tried and true aircraft it was intended to replace. It was the very definition of awful.
You COM is probably too close to the wheels. If the COM gets ahead of the wheels, the plane will nose over. Combined with your propeller (which is too large) you're probably face planting quite a bit.
Lighten the weight of the nose or move the wheels forward.
Shrink the prop a bit or lengthen the landing gear.
Attach the missile to a detacher. Set the detacher to an activation group, use that group number to fire the missile. For extra funsies, set the detacher strength up really high, but don't fire it close to the ground.
@Loopy200 No can do. Its the same idea as with planes, the COM always wants to be ahead of the friction. With planes, thats the center of lift, with cars its the average of the 4 tires.
@Strikefighter04 Do not be sad. Think of it like this: you save the Belphegor for that sad day you run out of ideas. You hope the day never comes, but you rest assured that if it does there's still an outstandingly terrible plane waiting for you.
Another gorgeous pool of liquid metal. Ever notice that you never see @SledDriver and T-1000 in the same place at the same time? Awful suspicious if you ask me.
Very, very cool plane. The only Bipe to score an A-A over a jet! I should've known you'd build this thing. You are quickly becoming the biplane king of SP.
@GritAerospaceSolutionsLTD Prolly not, never tried it. I just like making my models and geeking out on scraps of history. My wife says I'm too high strung for PVP.
@GritAerospaceSolutionsLTD There's a multiplayer mod, and the game supports hexidecimal colors, but it does limit how many at one time.
I think part of the issue is that it was intended to be SimplePlanes and many of us have managed to kinda mutate it into AwesomeButSurpringlyComplicatedPlanes. There's a pretty steep learning curve, but thankfully the people are unbelievably eager to teach and help and support each other.
@Thebossrevolution101 Expensively. Used too much fuel and the farmers had a tough time with the mainenance. That's what you get when the boss is out of touch with reality.
@leaderwho Right click the mouse, problem solved. It's called "mouse as joystick" and the pitch and roll inputs don't reset. No luck for touchscreen users tho, they have to use trim and VTOL sliders.
@CarsonG1017 @aircraftarsenal123 @BaconAircraft Check the link at the top for a test drive. Let me know what you think.
@BaconAircraft I don't post very many planes. Easy to miss me if you're not on the site for a few days. How's that crazy Learjet coming along?
No, but I do like french music!
@F4f879 @BaconAircraft Thanks guys!
@aircraftarsenal123 Should be out this week. I forgot to add rudder pedals. XD
Hey, thanks @BaconAircraft
@CRJ900Pilot No thanks, you can most certainly use those parts tho. And help yourself to the turrets on my A-26. They work just like the B-29 turrets.
@CRJ900Pilot Just the nose, lol.
@CRJ900Pilot Aww. I build so slow that if I don't love it then I just stop building it. That's what happened when I tried to make a B-29. Didn't love, never got past making the nose.
I hate SUV's but the quality here is undeniable. You are very talented.
Awwww. You messed up this time! Now you're gonna have to make us stuff this good all the time.
@CRJ900Pilot Thanks! You got anything cooking?
@Strikefighter04 Sure, sure. Did it work?
@ACMECo1940 Basically, weight is a number on the stat-sheet but bears little relevance in terms of realism for me. But I'm sure you can sort all this out your own way. Link me when it's posted, ok?
USS Silversides, one of the most successful ships of WWII.
@Sgtk Hahaha! Excellent!

Swiss F-5E Tiger II? Pretty cool! I thought they were grey, tho?
@Potato21 The Belphegor calls to you.
@ThePilotDude Its miraculous
PZL M15 BELPHEGOR is all the inspiration needed.
I found some totally rockin Vietnam music right here.
Glad you're ok, hopefully everyone else will be too.

Who is this red haired guy singing this stupid song?

Nice!
@Texasfam04 Unintentional poetry on all sides
@Texasfam04 Caca. What an apt description of the PZL M15. Thank you.
@Strikefighter04 Do not be sad. Think of it like this: you save the Belphegor for that sad day you run out of ideas. You hope the day never comes, but you rest assured that if it does there's still an outstandingly terrible plane waiting for you.
@Spock I cannot help but agree with your astute compliment.
Another gorgeous pool of liquid metal. Ever notice that you never see @SledDriver and T-1000 in the same place at the same time? Awful suspicious if you ask me.
NACHT-HEXEN!

This detail here is pretty freaking awesome! Great job. And that's coming from someone who can't stand the M3.
Maneuver props engaged!
Technically speaking, we're all travelling to the 23rd century already. Perhaps a bit of Vulcan patience will ease the journey?
Here, build this. It will change your life.

I love the one with the contrails across the moon. Very "50's Sci-fi"
I really like that control center.

@Jetpackturtle Imagine the lols if they unexpectedly started firing somehow.
I like the "bullet holes," very clever!
Welcome to SimplePlanes
@ForeverPie Iconic is right! Very unusual.
You could manually do that with a brake input and rhythmically tapping B, some people have made successful ornithopters that way.
