@XjayIndustrys Why not? With xml modding you can do all kinds of crazy stuff.
I'd just scale some gigantic flat-bottom wings down to the size of dinner plates and hide them. Hell, I've made a biplane that lifts off the ground under 20mph.
@Aspire Why use guns? At interplanetary speeds their range would be useless, a collision or a nuclear explosion would be ideal.
Lasers would be a good solution, but getting them to work over the necessary distance would be improbable. Not to mention the added mass for a necessary power source would drastically reduce the mneuverability of the vehicle.
@Aspire A real fighting vehicle for space would probably consist of little more than a missile.
Humans can't cope with the G-forces that machines can, so why limit a spacecraft by putting a person in it? Why bother with a self-interested human that doesn't want to die when you can use a computer that will attempt to complete its mission at any cost?
@randomusername That would not tell him anything useful. It would give him information about the performance envelope of that specific vehicle and nothing more. As soon as he changed anything, all that information would become irrelevant.
New guys game crashes after he "edits" a few things, suggests the game must be broken.
Hmmmmm, do you think this might have been the "I increased the rate of fire beyond what my mobile device can handle" bug? Because that's not actually a bug, that's just you breaking the game.
In real life, the entire horizontal tail can rotate tiny increments in response to trim input. I would recommend you design your plane to do the same. Use a rotator with the unput set to "trim" and then set the range to something small, 5° or 10°. In real life, supersonic wings are symmetrical and generate no lift at all unless the tail is pulling the nose up a bit. If you're going above 300mph and 10° of pitch trim isn't enough to keep the nose from drooping, consider enlarging the main wings.
I would also recommend that you review the layout of the rest of your plane. Is the COM too close to the COL? Are the wings set to "semi-symmetric" or "symmetric"? Make sure your plane can land at a safe speed (preferrably under 150mph).
@Wahoo12 Mig 23 was a solid design, considering how difficult swibg wings can get. But yeah, the stripped export model was an example of politics ruining a design.
@jamesPLANESii I have and it does, mass scaling any moving parts is a bad idea that often leads to unintended consequences. Simply because you haven't noticed any does not mean it doesn't happen.
@Stellarlabs Well, like I told Mostly, I agree that the Wright Flyer was pretty good at the time, and it helped the Wrights make planes that were stunningly effective later on. There were other planes that flew better than the "Flyer," but they didn't take off untill several months later.
The video does explain some of that, you should check it out. I am certainly not typing out the list for the next post, people are gonna have to watch the video if they want to argue about the 11 worst planes of the USSR.
@Mostly Nothing, that's why it only comes up during another segment where it was a driving purpose of the other plane. Like I said, I agree with you but I think they explained their point well enough.
@Mostly I agree, but they do a good job explaining that one in the video. They also cover what huge jerks the Wrights were in the "Langley Aerodrome" segment.
This thing looks much better than my Dauntless. The flaps are very well executed. My only complaint is the handling and the machinegun controls. Turrets should be pitch/yaw, not trim sliders.

I don't think guns can work like that. If they can, it's news to me.
All parts need to be set to "disableAircraftCollisions=true"
Do not mass scale any of the parts. Disable suspension on the wheels. Do not bother using shocks. Good luck.

Interesting question. I'm assuming you would consider post-stall thrust vectoring like the Mig-35 to be "VTOL" despite the technical differences.
I would imagine such a plane would be some sort of enthusiast bush plane. @JamesPlanesII might be able to hazard a guess.
@pavthepilot V engine fighter addiction. Symptoms include violent arguments over Rolls Royce versus BMW.
@JelloAircraftCorporation Yeah, it's him. I liked his channel, back in the day. Oh well, he wasn't even a real Russian anway.
@pavthepilot Heaven forbid we go 7 or 8 minutes without another Messerschmitt/Spitfire/Mustang.

PZL M15 "Belphegor"
"Realistic space vehicles"
I've seen dozens of Shuttles, Soyuz and Apollo builds, even plenty of unmanned craft like Sputnik and Voyager.
@atgxtg You're correct, it's not a precise model of drag coefficients. Think of it more like a rough indicator.
Welcome

@salisbey I understand. I like the plane, too. Just be careful, ok?
@MasterShi @worldplanes The mods choose what gets featured. There's no system and there's nothing worth complaining about.
No sympathy or memorial posts.
Unfortunately, you didn't properly auto credit his car so he won't get any points. Next time, import your parts into his car instead of the opposite.
@Wahoo12 I have the Fishbed and the Huey. Helicopters are scary.
Yep. That's the way to do it. All those slider-controlled turrets are for the birds. Pitch and roll are the way to go.
@Wahoo12 That's actually rhe only hardcore sim I own. I don't play it very much, but it is beautiful.
@Wahoo12 Me too. Especially the Fishbed and the Foxbat.
@Wahoo12 Mig 23 was a solid design, considering how difficult swibg wings can get. But yeah, the stripped export model was an example of politics ruining a design.
@CruzerBlade Yeah. Tupolev is unfortunately all over this list, mostly against his will but that Tu-22 was all on him.
@MrSilverWolf Agreed. But I have Douglas bias, big time. I was also a bit miffed about the guy below him bad mouthing a Grumman plane.

@FuzzyAircraftProductions I provided a video.
@Mostly There will be a short quiz before I let you out for recess.

@Botfinder Heheheh. Nice.
What part of "I agree with you" is too much to grasp?
I can also tell that you haven't watched the video because they compare it to planes that were under development that same year.
@Mostly
@Mostly Nothing, that's why it only comes up during another segment where it was a driving purpose of the other plane. Like I said, I agree with you but I think they explained their point well enough.

Four posts is kinda overkill, don't you think?
@ForeverPie Nice catch! Canada gets credit for that piece of engineering genius.
Getorge The Biplane King lives!

@Billythekidusa04 search through the stuff people have made, if theres one that's close then fix it to look like the one you want.
Use search tool. Plenty of of Ford Mustangs and North American Mustangs ro pick from.
@Awsomur Or don't crash and actually land safely.
Gotdang
@Kimcotupan15 I'll keep an eye. The one I saw today properly credited you, I think. This is a cool car, I can totally understand its popularity.
@tsampoy good luck and link me when shes ready
@BaconAircraft LOLBBQROFL
I don't want to scare anyone but
There's nobody flying the plane!
#ghosts
I've seen this thing uploaded way more than 5 times. I have a feeling some people have been stealing.
@tsampoy That's how I chose the name.
