@valaszki I am a huge fan of this aircraft, and spent a while designing one of my own. If you could check it out and let me know what you think, I'd love to hear it. Also, if you want any help or have any questions, I'd be happy to lend a hand. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/07td22/MiG-25P-Foxbat-A-FINAL
The most important part of the Mig-25 is the exhaust nozzles. They distinguish it from other, similar looking aircraft like the Mig-31 or the F-15, and they are the exterior feature players will see the most when flying your build. Those Tumansky monsters (and the variable intake ramps) are the key to this jets power and shape, so pay extra attention to them. I love your "commie-green" cockpit so far, good luck with the rest!
No worries, the ribbing looks about perfect. I've been working on the same thing. The hard part is the fuselage that fits under it, imo. One could just stuff a few cone blocks to get a decent looking exterior, but after all that work, kinda want to make a working cockpit, and that's where things get sticky with the fuselage.
I just wanna point out that I only hold people to a standard if they have been here a long time. Silvers and Bronzes get upvotes from me if I think they spent time on the build and put some care into it, regardless of any mistakes.
@doge Overload is convenient, but directly accessing the text file is so much more powerful. Also, you don't have to worry about accidentally touching the wrong block (that drives me CRAZY!). Well, I like the blimp a lot and I have a feeling you learned a lot while you built it. I know I did.
Actually, if you look, someone posted this SAME problem earlier today and got a link to the fix. Here, read this https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/592887/Solving-the-Induced-Roll-Problem-on-Complex-Builds
Does it always lean to the same direction when you pull up? If so, you've probably got issues with how your wing parts are connected. This comes up every couple days on here, try running a search, you should be able to find an in depth description.
@doge yeah I found the third jet. I went through the xml file using alt-F. It's easier for me to find most stuff that way. Each of the 4 planes I've made (and now the mysterious 5th one I'm working on) have been a pain in the neck. I figure that if it's easy then I'm not pushing myself or learning anything.
I changed around the controls a bit, made the jets less powerful (but now they burn through fuel faster... so maybe I should have left them alone), but I was also able to make the jets controllable by VTOL while keeping the props controlled by the throttle! If you like it, you should re-upload it as your own or modify it as you see fit. This is a good design, I really like it a lot.
@CrazyCodeC Yup, that's what I thought. If you want to use suspension, you have to manage the weight based on what the spring can handle, but then your plane will handle like a toy. Either that or become MUCH better at XML modding than most people. I wrestled with this same problem and finally decided to just to disable it. Sometimes I have springs for show, or pistons for retraction, but on heavy planes, the difference between a soft-spring landing and the whole thing snapping off is just too small.
Usually, short guys act tough because they're embarrassed about being so short. It's called "over compensating." Just wait till he gets older and discovers how often women prefer taller men!
@F4f879 From trial and error, I think I concluded that this spread is as wide as it gets before the tracers actually start to hit your own plane and kill you. As far as range goes, I can effect how fast they move, but not how many seconds each shot exists, so I can make them faster for more range or slower for more of "leaves in the wind" kind of look. I may be able to widen the spread a bit if I make them faster, they're less likely to hit the plane if they move away quickly. What do you think?
@F4f879 @Alienbeef0421 Someone asked me to make a mobile friendly bomber and I have no idea how many parts to shoot for. I love making detailed planes but I don't want to exclude anybody.
I'd spotlight this if I could, I like your style.
Look in good! How'd you do that on ios?

@Awsomur Lololol
@AndrewGarrison We're just glad you're back! And a few of us might be relieved to know that our DNS caches haven't been poisoned.
@Awsomur Aw, don't make it weird.
Yes. But I don't know why. I just want to say right now I LOVE ALL OF YOU AND MISSED YOU SO MUCH!

@Tully2001 I wrestling with that one right now. Horror.
Supersonic jets with elevators instead of all moving tails. Stock landing gear and/or cockpits. Flat wings. BAD HANDLING. UNNATURALLY GOOD HANDLING.
Simple, but clean and well made.

@doge it won't let you edit them?

@ChiChiWerx Good god. Why don't they just sticky your solution to the top of the forums? This problem comes up every day.
@Tully2001 IKR?! How about 3 weeks?

@Dstroyer101 Certainly the most reliable.

It's much easier to fly this thing if you scream "DANGER ZONE!" at the top of your lungs. LOLOLOLOL

Yup, seems to work ok. I wonder if there's a way to control the upward thrust separately from the forward thrust?
@DemonSniper8 I think it was just one that was messed up. Also, I think I had more than 4 wheels.
I used to have that problem, then I realized that not all the wheels were spinning the same direction...
@CrazyCodeC I just wish I could test it out, but I'm at work.
@CrazyCodeC Maybe the gear is uneven?
@CrazyCodeC Are the landing speeds comparable? That makes a huge difference. Have you tried watching it land in slow motion?

Disable suspension, mod the rotors and hinges to be 10x their normal weight.
Me: "Mustang, Mustang, Mustang. No more upvoting Mustangs."
10 minutes later: "Ok, except this one because it's so pretty."
SP could benefit from more builds as creative as this.
I like the texturing, very cool.
PANDA!
Airship.
I gave the windows a shot, after an hour or so messing around with them, I was pretty unsatified with what I had made.
Republic-Fairchild gonna sue somebody over this one!
This needs some flattened cardboard boxes so we can breakdance in front of it.
I have a funny feeling the AI isn't "broken," did you test this car with a AI driver before submitting it to the contest?
Very inventive! This is great work.
@Rodrigo110 Thanks!
@Awsomur ROFL Did you think, "I've got a few ideas..." ?
A The lines are much cleaner
@F4f879 I can mod, nudge or resize anything you need. Just let me know and gimme a day or two to get it back to you.
@F4f879 I can also lower the rate of fire if the cause too much lag.
@F4f879 Thanks!
