It's best to save often and not to overwrite saves. I created about 30 save files while working on my last plane, and it's a pain going through and deleting them all when I'm done, but it's better than relying on the undo feature. It works for the occasional mistake, but it's not a good idea to rely on it.
@EternalDarkness So it actually creates thrust on its own, not just a lack of friction? Well, not thrust as it's counted in the stats, but a pushing force that will propel the craft forward even without an engine?
@BACconcordepilot No can do, I won't be back to my desktop for quite some time. Otherwise, I would gladly reward your honesty with the deliciously bugged aircraft componants you desire.
@EternalDarkness Wait, you invented negative wind resistance?! And this isn't all over the place yet? How long ago did you first share this discovery? Dang. That's a real game changer, no pun intended. I could design planes with realistic wingloading and power-to-weight with such a tool.
@BACconcordepilot Mod the prop to have (almost) zero mass and about 6,000 horsepower, that's what I did. After I changed the prop back to 1x mass scale the "problem" went away.
Modded propellers do hilarious/annoying things. Just last night I was testing a plane and noticed the propellers moved forward as I increased the throttle. At full throttle, they hovered a foot in front of the nose. I understand you probably don't do much modding on an ipad, but I dunno.
@chancey21 Yeah, was it on mine or someone else? Its because I scale the rotors way huge and then the engine way small, so the props look normal but the cone is tiny.
@chancey21 Sure, just looks like a box with a wheel and some panels. I can make the propellers too, but they'll have to go on last because they glitch out if you touch them (try to adjust the props on this Jenny if you want a good laugh).
I'm not so sure studios like Leatherneck would be able to put out stuff as detailed as their Mig-21bis if they charged less money. It's not like hardcore combat flight sims are easy to build or popular to sell. But I'm no expert and it's jmo.
@jamesPLANESii Your criticism is spot on. The "real" wings are too big, I think. The mass is right, and I don't think a weaker engine would allow for proper performance at cruise or top speed (SP handles wind resistance strangely and you will notice the ungodly high drag points here). Smaller wings would have allowed a more realistic stall speed, but after flying the thing for a bit, I absolutely could not bring myself to alter the "butterfly" feeling of cruising around in this thing. The way she just dips and climbs until she levels out at 75% throttle is something I haven't experienced on here before.
@TheWhistlingDeath You're going to love this. The Mig 17 is just a Mig 15 with an afterburner, redesigned wings, and some extra equipment. They literally just perfected the Mig 15 and decided to call it something new because it was so awesome.
You seem to be having kind of a rough day.

@Authros Thanks for the spot!
@jamesPLANESii Get off my lawn!
@getorge The description doesnt contain links or screenshots
So awesome!
@getorge Sure, where is it? Also, where is the engine from?
Cool engine! Did you build that from scratch?
@EternalDarkness This is very exciting. Thank you for taking the time to explain all this!

@Treadmill103 It seems like you've got a pretty simple, honest approach.

It should look like a DeLorean DMC12, of course!
Apparently, the Hellcat had more aces than any other US plane during the war. At least, I think I recall reading that. :)
Whenever someones asks, I always give them the same answer.
@jamesPLANESii Bikes hadn't been invented yet!
@Kerbango Thanks for the support
Yup.
+2Impressive

@chancey21 Lemme know what parts you want me to cook up
@chancey21 I can help out here and there, but I am much too slow to do collabs. It took me all of 3 weeks to make this thing!
@chancey21 Thanks for the spot!
@GritAerospaceSolutionsLTD Good man
@jamesPLANESii In my day, we only had Etch-a-sketch and the only way to run multiplayer was by sharing the knobs!

They're gonna change it...

+3@SomeFox Thank you very much
@MrSilverWolf Hey man, thanks! You got some of the best builds on here.
@Davisplanez Thanks man
GHOS!
@PadiDiver Thank you very much!

@MrTyTheGreat Wasn't that one of the first flying schools in the country?
@MrTyTheGreat Thats incredibly cool! What field?

Ok Mr. Frontpage Every 3 Days, your builds are suspiciously good.
@Tang0five Almost like sailing in the sky, isn't she? I'm glad you like her.
Work on the Mig 15. Once you've perfected her, she'll be a Mig 17!
JUMBO!
Whats wrong with carsongs?
@MisterT Hey, thanks man! I really appreciate that.
@Hayhayjam664 Thanks for the spot
