@JohnnyBoythePilot Yes and no. Jammers scatter waves in every direction, almost like a transmitter. Old school radar systems like what the Foxbat used would focus all the energy in a stream roughly shaped like a wide spotlight beam, which could be aimed a bit.
It's kind of like tge difference between getting a surnburn and holding a magnifying glass to make a laser. Jammers are frighteningly powerful, though, and you may be right.
@JohnnyBoythePilot That schnoz covers a 600 watt radar so powerful that they deemed it hazardous to people and pilots weren't allowed to activate it near the ground.
You should check out my SBD-3 Dauntless. Not only can it land on USS Tiny, but it fits the time period as well. Obviously I'm not submitting it for the challenge, but I figured you'd like it.
@DerekSP You tried decreasing the mass of the attached objects, but have you tried increasing the mass of the piston? I know that sounds silly, just brainstorming here.
This is a criminally underrated build, I just spent an hour flying it around Wright, repeatedly testing it out against the ships there. Most fun I've had flying anything in this game all week.
@jaredgamer Oh, I've got a whole mess of planes lined up. I posted this for all the folks that can't seem to decide. I was spacing out at work, thinking how cool it would be to design a 3000mph great white shark that flew around with a flaming rainbow coming out of its tail and neon lasers belching from its mouth like a gatling gun volcano, when I remembered Ace Of Seafood already did that, kinda. And then I thought "Why keep this idea to myself? There are more than a few people with the skill, and maybe someone with the will to make it happen!"
It really bothers me when big contributors delete their account and thus, all their content. I understand they have the right to do so, but it seems pretty messed up to me.
Wings are much too stubby, most aircraft are wider than they are long. Otherwise I like your attention to detail and how all the parts fit an overall theme. Nice work.
Suspension seems to be pretty limited in my experience, as if it can only handle a certain amount of mass or something. I've found it's just best to disable it altogether.
"It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas."
@communisticbanana Sure thing dude. And don't feel bad if it takes a while to see improvement, this game is sneaky and you gotta be sneakier to make pretty stuff that flies well. It took me over an hour just to make this and it's STILL bugged.
Fuselage wings are a good starting point, but I've noticed that best builds now use what I call the "sandwhich method" where the leading edge is a fuselage and the trailing edge is two wings at an angle from each other. You can sorta see what I mean on this Mig-17 here. Also, it's a commie jet so I know you'll love that.
@QingyuZhou That's why I'm surprised, China does manufacture huge aircraft. But I guess it's easier to rely on a design that's been refined over 50 years. Anyway, I have a feeling Boeing will be given some stiff competition as China continues to adapt its most recent designs.

You just want my sweet, sweet spotlights and got jealous of the 17 people ranked lower than me.
+1@JohnnyBoythePilot That schnoz covers a 600 watt radar so powerful that they deemed it hazardous to people and pilots weren't allowed to activate it near the ground.
@JohnnyBoythePilot i like a bird with a nice big nose, check this out.
Familiar?
@TheWhistlingDeath I see, well, good luck
Yeah, I really don't want the airplane I'm riding in to do that.
+1Another poor soul has put his trust in Apple and been left to the wolves.

There is only one answer to this question.
@Lahoski107 Thanks for telling me
@Lahoski107 okie dokie
-Edit: WHOOOOOA!
@Lahoski107 WHAAAT?!

I told you, 5 bucks doesn't buy enough gas to go anywhere in a rocket! This isn't a freaking Fiat!!!
+1Needs windows.
Ok, tell the court your crime and we will decide sentencing. We are a just community, but firm.

@SomeFox It baffles me that these planes aren't all over the front page every month
@AdlerSteiner Sorry, I thought your description was a haiku.
@Tully2001 Hmmm, so it's still somewhere, but inaccessible to us?
This is a criminally underrated build, I just spent an hour flying it around Wright, repeatedly testing it out against the ships there. Most fun I've had flying anything in this game all week.
@jaredgamer Here's a Piaggio P7someone just made, one of my all time favorite concepts.

Try these on for size and if seaplanes aren't your thing, consider converting a couple over to wheels.
Looks like an old TU-16

+2A 42 foot pencil is much too costly or cumbersome for everyday needs, the thing literally weighs a ton!
SOLID!
Good job, you really got the overall shape just right .
The mic is clear, try running the guitar through that Big Muff pedal.
+1Yeah, I goofed around making really boxy disasters for about 6 months before I got "serious" and started an account.
Wait till you realize how many planes share the same airfoil.

@Jfalix Not my plane, no idea what he modded.

Shame about the lighter, though.
+1"Fuligin, the color that is darker than black"
This is a cool idea, but keep in mind people only upvote preeety peeectures, so maybe try and figure out a way to show this baby off a bit more.

First, go to https://www.google.com
That's called a "search engine" People ask it questions and it presents you with a list of "web sites" that might contain the answer.
Once you've entered your "query" in the "search box" press enter and then start sifting through the web site list.
Good luck!
NOPE!

Whoa!
@QingyuZhou 747? I'm surprised he doesn't use something manufactured domestically like a Y-20 or an ARJ-21
