This looks great, but I have a few questions. Why WWII tag? Why the split-elevators? Are you aware that the mod means most people can't use this plane? Did you know you can use XML to scale wings so that they are bigger than they look?
@Irobert55 It's hard to say. New users do many strange things that are hard to figure out. Then again, so do I. Someone was upset I neglected to make a secret post for something just a few days ago.
@Irobert55 Could be saving it online. That way if his phone or computer gets messed up, he can find it again easily. Searching for planes can be tricky.
@QingyuZhou Could you maybe, pretty please, consider doing the pretty car and the scary tank first, Mr. QuingyuZhou?
I was planning on doing a 1000 part B-52D of the 1960s and a mobile friendly B-52G from the 1990's.
It's been slow going because the D model carries 108 500lb bombs, the laggiest parts in the game. So between that and the SE Asia camo, it's a lot to figure out. Plus the B-52 is a uniquely unusual plane, 8 engines, strange control surfaces, bizarre landing gear arrangement. It can't rotate on takeoff, so the AOI of the wing is set so high that the plane flies nose-down to stay level.
I've been scouring the net for weeks researching whatever I can on this bird and trying to figure out tricks to keep the count low.
Get some more RAM, if you're on 64bit system you should take advantage of it. Buy a pair of 4gig sticks, they shouldn't be too much money and they're outrageously easy to stick in.
I've been gifted games on steam more than 5 times. Likewise, I have gifted more than 10 games to various people. I'm not bragging, most of the games were cheap or on sale. But it happens a lot.
@JangoTheMango Yes, and a good explanation too. Most of my understanding of XML comes from the incomplete guide on the wikia page. I've only recently come across the PDF guide. Does the damper make the roatator more rigid? I've noticed a lot of flex in my custom landing gear lately.
@JangoTheMango Try them out. I won't name anyone in particular, but there are plenty of awesome looking planes that are utterly uncontrollable in flight. Aside from typical issues like bugged rotators, duplicated parts and collision issues, plenty of people just never bothered to learn how to properly balance the COM COL and COT.
I'm not picky, I'll upvote whatever looks like someone spent time on, but I do wish people would take advantage of physics engine.
@ThePrototype You'd think upvote criteria like "must be able to take off, fly around for a few minutes and land safely" would be setting the bar a little low. But that would probably kill off half the planes that get to the front page.
Hi Zap, I don't think we've talked before but I've been blown away by a few of your builds since I joined SP, not just the skill but your unusual approach. I'm a member of a Discord server for experienced SimplePlanes builders and modders. It's mostly a place to talk about the game, building techniques, projects, or anything really. There aren't many rules but the main ones are no NSFW content and people have to be voted in or out of the server. We took a vote and decided we'd love for you to come check it out. Message me on here or Discord if you're unterested.
@goboygo1 Yes, I actually used this to make a pair of April Fool's Day posts. A tank and a plane, they got a couple hundred downloads but I took them down after the day was over. Don't want to get a reputation for shoddy work :)
@danman12 You've got a lot of talent, keep it up!
+1@Ethological Links are done [with the words you want here](and the URL in here)
Pics have to be direct links ending in .jpg or .png
Too bad this isn't a balalaika, that would a big laugh from Soviet aircraft fans. Good work tho
Nice!
Broken images and unclickable link. I'll give you 3/10 because you seem enthusiastic and polite, but this teaser could be much better.
KTHXBYE
Whatever your rig can handle. I've seen 3,000 parts and I've also had people demand that I post stuff with less than 300.
+3I post Thursday morning, usually around 10. Any time during the day, EST, is doable.
All this is aside the fact that good builds stay on the front page for a few days, regardless of when they're posted.
How'd you get that amazing firing effect?
+1Go-Jo is your friend. Use it.
@Chancey21 Yurp
Private-upload the planes you want to kerp.
@HliasXardas2 Almost every supersonic jet has all-moving tail not split elevators, including F4.

+1Hey, all done huh? Looks good, flies beautifully.
@Irobert55 Most common? I dunno about that, don't stars contain most of the known mass?
Oh man, do I love a good Hetzer! Very cool!
@Irobert55 Water is rare, and not easy to synthesize either.
@Irobert55 Every day, I see stuff posted that makes me ask myself "Why?"

Not tryin to bevmean, by the way. I miss a lot of the people I used to game with too.
@denialofservice Well, do you remember them?
Here you go
PZL M15 BELPHEGOR
+2KRAFTWERK
The most awesome electro of all time.
Custom exhaust? Very nice.
@Mostly Eat something that disagrees with you?
@QingyuZhou THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Oh HELL NO. I'm already working on a B-52, please wait a bit before you humiliate me with a superior one.
@Minecraftpoweer Only done one giftcard, because my cousin wouldn't gimme his steam username

@Rodrigo110 There is an engine overspeeding mechanic.

@JangoTheMango I actually didn't know rotators had a damper attribute. XD
I need to study the XML guide some more.
@vonhubert Can't wait to get home and fly it. Good luck IRL.
+1@Aerobako Give QWOP a shot, it's good for a few laughs.

...unless you count Cat Mario
Wonderful to see you back in action on here. The plane looks great!

+1To be fair, that is already a thing because too many people fail to test their uploads. /s
+6@BurkeEnterprise That's pretty brutal. Are you a bear?
Perhaps Greenland isn't the right place for you?
+2@zap210 I see. Well, you are welcome to join whenever you want and I can't wait to see more creations from you.
@zap210 What is your language? Many people on the server are from Eastern Europe and Asia.
