Thats too many days without water. You need to take your cat to a vet, now.

  • Electric Freakout Paint 6.9 years ago

@Tully2001 0.05 is that a specific increment? I've just been going by trial and error. Sometimes, at longer ranges, otherwise clean lines and sharp paint becomes an exciting breakdance of triangles. So I nudge here and 0.98 scale there. But I sure as s### would prefer to build it right the first time and spend the final step fixing the flight characteristics instead of the paint.

  • I'm back, baby! 6.9 years ago

I-5's can game, depending on the model. But you should probably scale that 8 up to 16.

  • Lockheed F-104 Starfighter v1.0 6.9 years ago

@shipster I love the Foxbat. She was my first upload, and probably my favorite Sov jet. But let's be fair here! The Mig-25 wasn't ready for service until 1970, 16 years after the F-104 first took flight. That's a whole generation of aircraft, like comparing a Yak-3 with a Mig-15.

The Soviet fighters designed at the same time as the Starfighter were the Mig-19 "Farmer" and the Su-9 Fishpot. But neither of these planes hold up very well in terms of performance. Eventually, the Soviets developed the excellent Mig-21 Fishbed and the upgraded Sukhoi Su-9 (known as the Su-11) which were more than a match for the Starfighter, but by then the USA had gone all-in for the F-4 Phantom, which was the top dog untill the Foxbat came online in 1970.

@EternalDarkness No, not suggesting he broke any rules. Pathetic grabs for attention at the cost of morale have repeatedly proven to be within the limits.

I just thought it would be a real shame if

everyone decided to use the ignore feature

on someone for the simple mistake of making such transparently awful post.

Have you considered other Great War aircraft like artillery balloons, zeppelins and gliders?

  • KRAKEN SAYS ITS DEAD 6.9 years ago

@EternalDarkness Could we maybe just take this one down? Somebody's gonna get all "ad hominem" and it's not like there's a worthwhile discussuon emerging here.

@Jim1the1Squid Hahaha. Not saying. Lets just say the pay sucks and the work is amazingly filthy. Stay in school, boring stuff like math and chemistry pays big money and no matter where you live poor people get treated like s&%t.

  • i just want to ask how wide the fuselage and or the cockpit of the B-25 is 6.9 years ago

@atgxtg Absolutely! Not to mention it's the most direct way to improve almost every aspect of performance. When Ed Heinemann was designing the AD-1 Skyraider he discovered that:

"every 100 lb (45 kg) of weight reduction the take-off run was decreased by 8 feet (2.4 m), the combat radius increased by 22 miles (35 km) and the rate-of-climb increased by 18 feet/min (0.091 m/s)."

His team managed to cut almost two tons of "unnecessary equipment." That was probably the best designed ground attack platform ever built.

  • turret controlles in mobile phone 7.0 years ago

@Jim1the1Squid Are you using WASD? If so, then that is your problem. Try right-clicking for mouse-aim.

On a mobile device, they use virtual thumbsticks. This means that using pitch/roll is exactly like aiming in a console FPS.

  • turret controlles in mobile phone 7.0 years ago

@Jim1the1Squid VTOL and Trim is only good for large, slow turrets. Anything that needs to actually track and hit moving targets needs to use pitch and roll.

    Try this

  • is there a easy way to aim a turret for Android user's??? 7.0 years ago

Yes. Make the controls pitch and roll. Then it's the same as a FPS shooter. Put all the control surfaces on AG8 and maybe throw a gyro on AG7, then the plane will fly straight and steady while you aim.

    +2
  • How to prevent wings from glitching? 7.0 years ago

It's not a glitch. Exceeding the sound barrier at low altitude is unpleasant and dangerous. You will notice that your planes don't wobble when you go "fast" at altitudes above 20k feet.

Anyway, structural wings are the solution here. Either with rotator controlled surfaces or XML modded surfaces.
