@UFNNICF5TF I started work on this plane 2 years ago, it actually inspired me to quit the game. Recently all my other games are boring me and I made up my mind to finish this project. Sure, I have a screenshot of 3 Tupolev bombers next to each other on the front page, but at least they're not the same plane.
I agree with you, this build is of high quality and deserves more attention. I'd say your biggest problem is the screen shots. It's clear you wanted to create realistic pictures showing off the night/all-weather capabilities of this plane, but because they're dark it's hard to make out all the details you included. Also, for some reason you only uploaded it with one preview pic instead of three. Always use three, always show the plane from three different angles. After working on something like this for weeks and weeks, you're not looking at it the way someone here on the website looks at it for the first time, you know about all the details but we need to see them.
Lastly, and I know this isn't fair, people tend not to upvote stuff that says "Based on" even if it is based on something you yourself made! Again, unfair, but that's how people are.
Big part count builds like this need BOLD, crystal clear images to show off all the work you put in, especially considering how few people download builds with more than 800 or so parts.
@BogdanX Normally, I'd agree with you, this is a game after all. But the landing speed with (flaps and medium throttle) IRL is somewhere around 177mph which is about what I've represented here. Realistic jet engines spool up too slowly for realistic jets to work properly at the "Approach" locations, though some might have light enough wing loading to glide in the Tu-22 and Tu-22M certainly do not. This requires more from the pilot, but the higher wing loading does make for a smoother less hazardous ride at low altitudes, perfect for a high speed penetration bomber. That said, your advice is always important to me and I will keep it in mind for my next project.
@Mustang51 Thanks! I just added some specific info that may be helpful, sorry I didn't get that up there when I first posted this thing. And thanks again for the kind words and spotlight.
@TrislandianAlliance Yeah, I try to mention that fact as much as possible because (A) the Cold War is fascinating (B) the Soviets made amazing aircraft and (C) some of the nicknames are hilarious. FROGFOOT!
@JustDatGuy You need 2 wings total. One, where the rudder is supposed to be, and then a second one like this. OH! I forgot to mention, it helps a lot if the red Center of Mass is kept ahead of the keel-fin.
I can't do any of the in-game stuff (I'm at work) but I can tell you that you need to hide a downward facing wing at the bottom of the very center of your ship to keep it from Tokyo Drifting.
@asteroidbook345 I modeled the appearance of these missiles after the older Raduga Kh-22 series for that "height of the Cold War" feel. The missiles themselves are a little bit slower than the real thing to ease the process of finding, aiming and hitting g the target, but I made sure to include enough Boom 50's (4 hidden inside each missile) to simulate the damage of a real non-nuclear Kh-22 warhead. A single hit should be enough to destroy just about anything.
@TrislandianAlliance The super powers did not always formally announce new military equipment, often waiting years to even acknowledge the very existence of some weapons or aircraft. As a result, NATO forces used a system of euphemisms for Soviet-aligned aircraft so that they could easily be identified. Fighters were given F names, bombers B names, helicopters H, etc. You can learn more HERE.
I think @jamesPLANESii is right. The game doesn't handle large fuselage parts well. You may need to ask some of the experienced ship guys how they work around this
@ACEPILOT109 I'm not so sure about that. They flew hundreds of sorties with the F-14 during the Iran-Iraq War and built up an excellent record at that time, surely that couldn't have been accomplished with no technicians. As time goes by, Iran replaces systems that can't be repaired with locally developed tech. They're probably not as potent as the F-14 D model, but they claim to have about 40 planes and 24 are said to be operational.
@asteroidbook345 They're all A-models, from the late 70's. They may have updated some of the equipment with domestic gear, it's hard to say but they've certainly seen a bit of combat.
Congratulations MAHADI. By actually taking the time to link the top 20 planes and post analysis for each one. There are so many shamelessly lazy challenges these days, and it's great to see somebody doing the right thing. So here's to you!
@Strikefighter04 Chessie became CSX back in the 1990's, before that it was the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O), one of the oldest thoroughfares in America.
Hey, CSX passes about 5 feet from my job every couple hours all day long! I like their old 'Chessie' livery with the kitten logo, but the new look is quite sharp too.
I see you got a Norfolk Southern as well, my friend used to work for them. Hard work but it paid well.
@shipster Thank you
TUPOLEV IS DOMINATING THE FRONT PAGE THIS WEEK!
+5@Maherhussam I build slowwwwwly. Also, I quit and came back.

+1@QingyuZhou Thanks man, I will check that out.
@WNP78 That's very illuminating, thank you
+1@Maiqu Good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing what you make next.

+1@ChisP lol, yeah. Kinda looks like an academy awards speech.

+2@BogdanX Thanks Bogdan. I don't know if you remember, but you helped a lot early on when I was building this.
I love your attention to detail, little things like the boat tied up in the stern really bring it to life.
Thanks @Trainzo I spent way too much time on this one, so it's a big relief you guys like it
@MAHADI FK? You mean the Funky Trees?
SOVIET AVIATION IN THE HOOOOOOOOUSE!
@AircraftoftheRedStar @asteroidbook345 @SimplyPlain

@ACEPILOT109 Thanks!
Zhou, you're a legend.
+1Hey, nice plane!
It'd also make fixing auto-roll on conventional planes much easier
+3@bps21 I don't think I'll be able to do that. The plane I was considering would be THIS
+1SEE YOU SPACE COWBOY...
+1The pie is endless
I'll probably build such a plane sooner or later, but it may take a month or two.

Great idea. Call up the folks at Apple and let us know how it works out.
+2Which is funny cause neither one is IRIAF, and they're the only ones who actually fly them.
Thanks.
+1@MAHADI Sorry, just wish more people would do their challenges this way.
+4I love hypnoplanes

+4You should probably make the PZL M15 "Belphegor"
@OliveAerospace I know the feeling, I just came back from a years absence
+1@Strikefighter04 Chessie became CSX back in the 1990's, before that it was the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O), one of the oldest thoroughfares in America.
Congratulations on your first build

The people are pleased by your achievement here, comrade! Allow me to congratulate you on a job well done.
+1@Gbhole Absolutely. If you have any more questions, @ me here in the comments and I'll do my best. Good luck!
@asteroidbook345 Thanks
