@BlueCitrus I'm sorry, we need to play fair, last time I tried something like this with XML everyone had Lazer guns, don't worry, we'll start an underground dogfighting league next.
@AtlasSP It's no rush though. I think its a new challenge for the community. Simple Planes is a great game but I think the community never really gives credit to the engineering of something that flys well and more to what looks cool.
@AtlasSP it's cool, I'll run a challenge for a few weeks. Make sure they are good, and then I'll give you the match ups. I'll also make sure they know your video so you get the credit.
@Bmcclory I'm planning an ongoing series twice a month. The first round is end of April and then the next one is May 15. So you'll definitely get a chance to jump in.
Meanwhile at EAS they're perfecting color changing Soda, cherry soda that turns green when you open it, and yes the Bliss is coming along, will probably be released sometime next week.
@CptJacobson well the cockpit (minus some stubborn levers) is done, finishing up in the canopy, and working on the decals. I'm tapping out on that emblem. It's going to add too much weight and sacrifice performance. I could XML modify everything but its just going to take a lot of time. I'm making a custom squadron logo instead. It's going to have details that you'll see on planes like my Raven.
@CptJacobson No on the discord, and I'll be honest when scaled down it's literally putting piece back together, I basically building a logo and a plane at the same time, which isn't bad, and all the pieces are there, it just takes a lot of X and Z movements.
@CptJacobson working on the decals, primarily that emblem you made. Considering the emblem is 10 times larger than the Bliss, it's going to take some work to get it to fit on the plane.
@CptJacobson Not yet, I'm assuming it doesn't involve zombies. By the way @Ebf123 is learning how to use all the cool stuff we use on the aircraft, like this suped up XML engine, but I'm down for checking out project Alice, just hold the zombies.
Solid work, good job getting the tail to move independently, usually parts tend to stick together. The parts you got should get you through just about any build, I usually save them as a Sub Assembly, but another handy tool is the parts fine tuner mod for those odd builds.
@CptJacobson good to go, I always like a challenge. I'm still ironing thing out on the Bliss, I have some XML modded engines I'm testing out
right now.
@Ebf123 well you definitely got a good start. I'll tag you on an XML modified parts bin I use, give you some extra tools. They are mobile friendly too so you won't need mods to use them.
Looks good, seems like you got the missles to function properly which is always hard when your working in a small space. Solid work, looks like this fighter is really coming along with each update.
@MrMassacre Well @CptJacobson built a destroyer so I had to modify the original to land on a destoyer deck. It's a little odd looking, but it tops out at about 1000 mph without blowing up the prop engines and it can kill ships using hit and run tactics. I was going to have the tail fold in like a scorpion but that may be a little overkill.
@CptJacobson Well its free for you to upload and modify, wasn't sure how you want the color scheme to go, but you did want a dive bomber /attack/ interceptor/ VTOL so I figured a naval build would be a good fit. Plus you got that new Destroyer you've built which it can definitely fit on if you used a detacher.
@JonTKocz Probably best it's not to full scale, I think this one is a healthy size for a computer. Plus with a 3000 ft wing span and a weight closer to 2 mil lbs that'd be pretty hard to fly. Pretty sure Junroo didn't expect people to build planes at that big. Cool build, and solid work.
@CptJacobson See, that's why I prefer VTOL, no need for brakes when you can just hover everywhere. But not to worry I won't turn the striker plane into a VTOL, unless that's something you want.
@CptJacobson Mustang is right it burns through fuel pretty quickly, but luckily I have jet magic so that won't be an issue. It's definitely has the speed of an interceptor but I'm going to tune the air frame so it's has a little more dogfight fight in it.
@CptJacobson challenge accepted, I've been out for awhile building space craft, but this fighter will be a stunt jet when I'm done. Big engines though, almost loosks like an ARC-170
@CptJacobson Just did, sounds cool. I saw you guys are building naval ships, sorry I' not to familiar with ships. VTOL is what I do best, but at least this thing floats.
@CptJacobson Thanks, Good to go, been playing lots of Starmade, decided to start bring some designs over. This one is actually based on the battle of Maywar.
@CptJacobson Sorry, been out for a week, come back and everyone is building ships. Almost thought I was playing the wrong game at first. Fine, I guess we're in the Navy now.
@CptJacobson Interceptors are great but you may want to switch weapons, in a dogfight interceptors take to long to lock on. It depends on the fighter role too, but I use both. Especially if your hunting something like a Drake, you would want to use Guardians to overpower the defense system. Don't worry the Drake is optimized and balanced for all around fighting, and with Interceptors it's a great sniper.

@Bmcclory hate to ask, but follow me on the Jetstream, I'll make an actual challenge for the community once the rules are cool with everyone.
@Bmcclory I'm planning an ongoing series twice a month. The first round is end of April and then the next one is May 15. So you'll definitely get a chance to jump in.
Sure why not... Just give me a bit
I feel the need to comment on this plane and keep the thread going.
So I'm guessing this one isn't a carrier based aircraft.

Cool design, I would say add a cockpit, but last time someone recommended that to me, I almost threw my phone out a window.
Thanks you @Treadmill103, @Ebf123, and of course @CptJacobson for the Upvote. I appreciate the support.

@CptJacobson so what do you think as an interceptor? I hate to say it but I don't think the CVAF has anything that can catch it.
Solid work, good job getting the tail to move independently, usually parts tend to stick together. The parts you got should get you through just about any build, I usually save them as a Sub Assembly, but another handy tool is the parts fine tuner mod for those odd builds.

@CptJacobson well I think this one is cool, definitely getting supersonic interceptor vibe from it.
@CptJacobson I see it, still working on the Bliss but this one is next.
@Ebf123 well you definitely got a good start. I'll tag you on an XML modified parts bin I use, give you some extra tools. They are mobile friendly too so you won't need mods to use them.
@MAHADI The sad truth is I ran out of birds to name it after. So I decided to go with Latin for eagle.
@Khashenzo Thanks, a beauty, but it was a total nightmare to putting it together, Junroo isn't a fan of small parts in small spaces.
@BlackhattAircraft Awesome thank you very much
@Ebf123 you probably could squeeze two more in the center fuselage, but you'll need to square it off.
Looks good, seems like you got the missles to function properly which is always hard when your working in a small space. Solid work, looks like this fighter is really coming along with each update.
I kept the part count pretty low, now to see if it can fit on a custom made ship. Think we're gonna need a bigger boat.
@MrMassacre Well @CptJacobson built a destroyer so I had to modify the original to land on a destoyer deck. @CptJacobson had to repost, didn't come or right on the first one
@Saturnite yes, but at least you know nothing will knock them off.

@JohnnyBoythePilot Awesome, thank you. I happy you think it's cool. I was a little hesitant about uploading it.
@CptJacobson See, that's why I prefer VTOL, no need for brakes when you can just hover everywhere. But not to worry I won't turn the striker plane into a VTOL, unless that's something you want.
@CptJacobson Yeah I was going to reply, Ill play around with it. Should be a pretty good build.
It's definitely fast, and doesn't do too bad in a dogfight.
@CptJacobson Mustang is right it burns through fuel pretty quickly, but luckily I have jet magic so that won't be an issue. It's definitely has the speed of an interceptor but I'm going to tune the air frame so it's has a little more dogfight fight in it.

@BlackhattAircraft sounds like a good idea, never done it before though.
About a YouTube Channel? YouTube is this generations cable TV. No business like show business.
@CptJacobson hey no problem. Been out of commission for a while so I got some catching up to do. Thanks for the Up vote by the way.
@Mtnmakoa ask and you shall receive. More upvotes.
Cool I see it, I'll run it through preliminary flight and start from there.
Awesome build, cool if I do some modifications to it?
@CptJacobson cool, you can add weapons on both sides on the wings. Not sure how this thing fly's with a load though, never tested it.
@CptJacobson Just did, sounds cool. I saw you guys are building naval ships, sorry I' not to familiar with ships. VTOL is what I do best, but at least this thing floats.

@CptJacobson Thanks, consider this one an EAS guardian class fighter. A light weight agile VTOL craft with enough fire power to defend a position.
