Lets say, a fighter plane should cost between 1wc and 5wc (wc is the currency used to price stuff). It goes to a Inspector, a staff member that judges stats year approved
Lets say, a plane should be an F-14 Tomcat. It will be priced 5wc (expensive) and for the year 1974.
And someone tried to approve an F-4 of yours. He litteraly used your thumbnail, did not even try to hide it.
Drag scale 0 just makes the part have no drag force. It is still calculated, but such calcs always end in 0. Disabling drag calculations makes such calculations not happen anymore, improving performance.
You can see that a part with dragScale=0 still affetcs parts behind it
I think I have enought experiece with designing so I will give you some hints:
1- ALWAYS build on a realistic scale.
Any of the things I will say here will be worthless if its not on scale. I like to start on the tank cannon, so I can build an accurate sized turret
2- Module placement
Try imagining where each module of your tank will be. Lets say, your tank has a Panzer IV cannon, the KwK-40. Try imagining how a loader would load it, so you give some space on the turret to that. Try imagining how much you want your gun to traverse vertically, so you can make the turret higher or lower. See some cutaway views of a tank that had similar proportions, and base it on that. And use the seat with the person hologram, so you can define where each crewmember would be. Where would the ammo be? Where the fuel would be?
With these hints, you can make simple yet realistic designs.
With tons and tons of experience in programming that Jundroo has from years of making games, jundro now is long past the small team of dudes trying to make games and now is in fact a medium indie developer.
Jundroo should now try something more advanced, similar to Keen software house's Space Engineers.
Honestly its hard to predict what they are doing. I hope it's not Aero Effect 2, thought
as someone who has never really received much attention when compared to other users with the similar points, I never really cared about it. Obviously getting 20 upvotes is a great morale boost, but I've seen users like me get way more. In the end, I'm just another Late Gold. You learn to not care and do things that you like instead of things you do for upvotes. I could have made a plane that would probably get a lot of upvotes a while ago, but I put it aside because I didn't like the result. This is just a game, you learn not to care if your masterpiece gets 3 upvotes and some random german corsair gets 30. Just have fun to build. Thats it
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes It has fuselage smoothing. It's just another name and it's a little more buggy with the textures, Its also way older.
But there are no piston engines there either, but thats a minor problem. Also it has no blueprints, no way to build good cockpits, et cetera.
I honestly also consider the possibility of a sequel a lot, and if that sequel is real, it should focus on things that other games don't have. Imagine an ultra accurate way to change the shape of the fuselage polygons. That would be the best thing in the game.
@Ian_Yashima I didnt mean I don't believe it.
Many people actualy lie, but as @Holymissile said, theres a lot of witnesses.
+1@Ian_Yashima when did he yearn
