@SPairforce
I have officially completed the first of a series of military vehicles as part of my new invasion fleet, which will get a dedicated forum once a few more are completed. Just have to post it.
@Ductwind589
True, there are no participant made naval units, which is surprising considering the the fact that there's practically no limit to what can be made.
Vought XF5U, aka the (waaay)better V-173. Actually had weapons (or at least, could have some) was four times as fast, and was so strong it has to be scrapped with a wrecking ball.
@GuyFolk
I'm curious, have any of these PSM plane stabilizing canards started pitching wildly out of control? That's been happening for me and I don't know why.
@SPairforce
True. On the topic of steath aircraft, I think the way to do that is to put a flare dispenser (or more, up to you), and then set ammo to a really high number, that way, it'll basically never run out and as such be invulnerable to missiles. Just an idea for a 5 gen fighter.
@Yourlocalhuman
I'm wondering if you could pin this, since this could make doing missions more interesting, and allow a better idea of wins & losses from missions(you don't have to, but I'm just asking).
To everyone doing this challenge, I think I've come up with a way to actually conduct missions in game, and it mostly centers around low part, but good performance builds. Basically, planes that can be used as enemies, that also are very easy to spawn in mass to simulate opposing forces. They still can look like whatever they're supposed to be(I don't mean make a cheap plane), and, most importantly, they have the same armament as they're real/more detailed counterparts. And that's the whole idea, an low part count plane/tank/SAM site that still has the performance of a higher quality build, but can be spawned in mass far easier. And again, this doesn't mean just slap together a few parts in the rough shape of a plane, then give it the weapons of whatever plane you decided on, you can make a decent looking plane in under 60 parts. It's possible. Just an idea to improve the fun of this kind of change.
@SPairforce
Bombers have successfully levelled Avalanche Airport, faced heavy resistance after the first bomber. Two bombers returned safely, one made an emergency landing at Krakabola, and one had to crash into the sea to avoid enemy recovery. Pilots where successfully retrieved. Scored ten kills in total.
@SPairforce
Mission A/This joint operation will be using four Mirage IV bombers and numerous fighter aircraft to protect them. The bombers will come in at around 20,000ft, with the fighters flying ahead of them to deal with any enemy fighters. Upon arrival, the bombers will carpet bomb the airport, destroying the facilities and runway.
@SPairforce hmm, must have heard of our aa guns. Curses.
Skypark has begun construction of a new SAM network, but it's still not complete. It appears I am left with no choice, but to launch a raid against Avalanche Airport.
@SPairforce
This is most concerning. That carrier is essential. If that carrier is destroyed, the only other thing around is my very outdated flattop carrier, and it's only good for a small number of my Alliance fighters. That carrier must be protected. Also, I think I'll join in on that SAM and laser hunt your thinking of. I just hope nothing comes near Skypark. Yeah, we have fighters, but really nothing else besides short range AA guns on the backs of trucks(but that is changing).
I just bombed the laser site. I don't quite know what contributed more the the success of the mission, the low altitude, or the fact that I came in from behind, a direction the lasers didn't seem to be able to turn to, cause even bomb impacted. Probably a combination of both.
Also, I say we must confirm whether or not our enemy has nukes.
Mission B/Two Dassault Mirage IVs bomb the laser defenses, one as the primary, the second as a backup in case the first is shot down, is unable to drop it's payload, or fails to destroy the target. I've did some practice runs on some islands near my base at skypark, and it is possible. You'll want to be at altitude for most of the trip there, and as you approach, cut afterburner and reduce throttle to 75-80%, and descend to a around 10,000ft. Once you've made your single pass, go full throttle and afterburner, and get the hell out of there. If the first bomber is successful, the second will simply carpet bomb the SAM site, and similarly retreat to high altitude before fights can be scrambled in time. Also, this is to be done from Skypark.
@Yourlocalhuman
I've almost completed an carrier based airborne early warning aircraft, so I'll be anticipating that new carrier. Also working on a long range supersonic bomber.
First off, really impressed with your work, it's been my inspiration for mecha of my own. Second, I know that this: PID(x,AltitudeAgl,x,x,x) seems to allow a build to hover, but does it work over water?
@FlyingPatriot
Here's and idea: a version of this challenge in which we can also use anything found at a school(not just supplies) and whatever from home can fit the average packback, and allow far more then just planes, tanks, artillery, helicopters, ships, even sci fi models(I've seen images of scratch built models there they grab a bunch of junk, stick it together in a certain way, apply paint, and suddenly it's a spaceship.)
@Yourlocalhuman
Construction of landing ships going smoothly, should have them ready soon.
@BombsAway4613
It's a little baby tank.
@Yourlocalhuman
Have finished land units, will begin construction of landing ships.
@SPairforce @Yourlocalhuman
I have something you should see.
If you find any problems, please let me know.
Working on ground units and landing ships 👍

A, as it would seem(as much as Skypark is doing good on it's own, considering we've yet to be attacked, which admittedly, could change).

First upvote.
Very helpful.
+1@SPairforce
I'm also working on a few things for a planned invasion.
@FirstFish83828
Hasn't seen in real life(good luck doing that since it was scrapped). Seen plenty of photos though.

Yeah, I haven't been able to assess their profile. Weird.
@FlyingPatriot
Yes, but, how??
Show us how you did is, please. 🙂
+5If you find any problems, please let me know.
This is my first plane with supermaneuverability.
If you find any problems, Please let me know.
@Yourlocalhuman
About the carrier? Yes I did.

As much as I agree, keep in mind it's a claim, that's doesn't mean it's actually true.
@Yourlocalhuman
Actually, the idea was more directed at participants. I think I should have made that clearer.

We begin at once.

@SPairforce
Definitely. Skypark is small, but a lot of our infrastructure is actually below ground, so we got a lot of fighters to spare.

Do you know of any other laser sites? Cause at is would seem, there are multiple(see the response to my next most recent comment).

@Ductwind589
Well, if snowstone is developing a time machine, my new bombers will simple grind it and the island into the sea.
If you find any problems, please let me know.
Same goes if you want a the standard version armed with a nuke.

Im in 👍 I always did like these challenges.
+1I know that peanut! And he does NOT have a flying license.
👍👍 Two things I'm gonna want to know, how do you make PSM aircraft, and how you got those custom missiles to jump off like that.

@HaunebuII
I'm planning on making a few more mobile suits.
@HaunebuII
+1Yes, yes, it is. I have it the name for the challenge.
