If you have a legitimate email, then go to the login page. Press "I lost my password". Then you will be sent an email and a link to a page where you can make a new password.

So you see your username at the top right of any SP page. (Except the special pages, which are rules, help, and terms). Pressing that gives out a small list, one of them is "Manage Account". Press that and it will take you to a new page where you can manage your account. You will see the white person and yellow background. Press the button that says "Enable Gravatar" next to it. It will turn into a G like figure on a blue background. There is a link to a site called "gravatar.com" next to your avatar template. Go there, and make an account if you haven't or log in if you have. Once there follow the steps to make an image. On iOS, you should take a URL or a file from your photos to upload it. After upload, it will send you back to your profile, with the new image at the bottom. Press the new image, then Confirm. Go back to simpleplanes and wait a bit, and you got your new gravatar.
@Blueblank2 you see how I have a baby goat as my avatar? The white person in yellow background is the main SP avatar. People like to customize their avatars, so they can express theirsleves, etc. if you want to know how to make a custom avatar, I can show you.
@Blueblank2 well, when people upvote your planes, you get points, and the more points you have the higher you point score is. When you get 100 you get bronze, when you get 1,000 you get Silver, when you get 5,000 you get gold, and when you get 25,000 points you get platinum. One upvote is 15 points.
@Flightsonic I got notified. When it said "1 New" there was nothing in the notification box but it was in Jet Stream so you still get notifications I think.
The plane limit used to be infinite, that was a long time ago. Then it was decided down to five after lots of spammy plane came up, and only a couple months ago it's 3 per day.
I don't know how many are allowed in 24 hours, but I know there's a Cooldown.
Also, try not to ask for spotlights, it could get you blocked by other users
It 'Twas the Spotlight Craze of 2016... That's probably what 2/3 of your notifications where.

I go to the airplanes page and next to "Highest Rated" "Jet Stream" is there. They moved it I guess.

@GeneralColeOfTheAf by now the jelly craze is mostly over, maybe you'll See one or two a week but it's pretty much off now.

Well, here's how. Let's say I spotlighted your plane. All 55 or so of my followers would get a notification that I spotlighted your plane.
I got 38 when I woke up :D
(All were spotlights and a couple jet streams)

Whenever you get an upvote, it counts it as two notifications, and multiple 3 notifications.
