So you see your username at the top right of any SP page. (Except the special pages, which are rules, help, and terms). Pressing that gives out a small list, one of them is "Manage Account". Press that and it will take you to a new page where you can manage your account. You will see the white person and yellow background. Press the button that says "Enable Gravatar" next to it. It will turn into a G like figure on a blue background. There is a link to a site called "gravatar.com" next to your avatar template. Go there, and make an account if you haven't or log in if you have. Once there follow the steps to make an image. On iOS, you should take a URL or a file from your photos to upload it. After upload, it will send you back to your profile, with the new image at the bottom. Press the new image, then Confirm. Go back to simpleplanes and wait a bit, and you got your new gravatar.

@Blueblank2 you see how I have a baby goat as my avatar? The white person in yellow background is the main SP avatar. People like to customize their avatars, so they can express theirsleves, etc. if you want to know how to make a custom avatar, I can show you.
