Generally, for all cockpits, the order you wanna take is:
1.) Yaw/Rudder pedals
2.) Cockpit base (so the black panels ect)
3.) Interior walls (if you want a different colour
4.) Cockpit details (dials and throttle regulator)
5.) The stick (pitch and roll)
6.) The seat
7.) The canopy
Also get some scaled fuselages from the "Parts" tag, otherwise you won't have much flexibility
Well it's a bit bigger in size than the spitfire (the spitfire was scaled up) so I'd estimate around 700. I still won't go over 800, cause even though the limits gone it'll still ruin performance on my device. @temporaryaccount
Cheers, don't worry I've sorted out the oversized cockpit issue. It's much more realistic now. I'll have to wait for the new update so I can nudge some extra stuff in but for now I'll work on the external parts. @temporaryaccount
I'll link you to a post showing just how I do these. I just abuse the mirror function (like crazy) and use touches of the rise and run will rotating to get my parts where I need them.
Link
What you see there is that I make two copies, and have one as my final and the other as scaffolding that I eventually remove. I add parts individually onto the scaffold, mirror and remove and then rinse and repeat with another section.
@EpicPigster1
Overtime you just get used to it, I've built 2 planes in this style and each time I develop a new technique. Maybe I'll make a seperate forum post to teach the ways if demand will is high enough.
@Awsomur
1.7 will come out in a few weeks from now. They aren't going to add any major features within this period so don't expect it. You can give your suggestions for update 1.8 however. @Draxfire
I use various techniques I've discovered over time. I can simulate nudging by putting a part on another part and then using the run and rise bar and rotating it to nudge it in. Also use lots of scaled parts, their are sets of them (just search the 'Parts' tag) that you can save to sub assemblies. @KidKromosone
Oh, but yeah I see. I think that was another thing that bugged me a little at the early stage of development that I forgot to touch on later. Cheers for your feedback
@helilover03
Yeah, the shape of the fusalage I'm not too happy with. It needs to be skinnier. But the cockpit would break and so I left it the way it was. @helilover03
Hey, can you help me with a plane I'm entering for this competition. Here's the link @mikoyanster

Ok, I'll take that advice on.

Nice, I'm making one too!
Try out the inbuilt nudge and torps
Why don't you just make one yourself?
I mean, isn't that the point of the game?

It doesn't work like that,
Mods aren't allowed on iOS due to Apple's current policy. @Draxfire
Very, very well made
Looks stunning!
Don't know, I've just heard. Ask @TrainDude
@LiamW
Like a nudge and fine tuner
@LiamW
Yes, iOS users rejoice
@TrainDude
Yeah that's what I'd like to know?@TrainDude
I've seen a lot of British planes lately, this one's good though
Wait so if you can enter numbers on the fusalage does at mean you can set it to e.g. 20 or 0.01?
Hooray!!
Ahh wonderful
I'll get cracking then
@mikoyanster
Would you count the De Havilland Mosquito as a fighter? I'm just wondering whether it would qualify for the other two tournaments.
You know, I reckon you should try open cockpits, with you know functioning stuff. Even if it's just for one build. Anyway looks good so far.
Hmm, after a bit of a think I think I'll enter in this challange. Hits my forte spot!
I pretty sure you know this, but yes, I do follow you
Ah, this came too late. Otherwise I could've entered my spitfire into this
Why though? You were just getting to the peak of your SP career?
Cheers,
Trust me even I'm amazed that this was possible

Secrets of the trade...
@KidKromosone
Haha, good to know
@F4f879
No problem
Looks quite nice

@NANOMAN
Who's gonna be the 100th upvoter?
Huh, egg fighters. That'll be interesting.
Maybe, it would be quite a change from the WW2 planes that I usually make. @temporaryaccount
Nah, just a keepsake I guess. But feel free to improve on it if you want
@temporaryaccount
Ahh, I see
@MrWarPac
If there was one thing I'd change though it would be to power down the thrust reverser a bit, but you know, that's pretty minor @MrWarPac
Stunning.
This is probably my worst build, interms of accuracy etc. So to comment that here is, odd? @temporaryaccount
Cheers
@temporaryaccount
No problem
