But if you set it from 1 to 0.5 it'll get lower damage
I think it's the effect caused by the explosion, if you want to make a realistic one, try set the projectile from explosive to basic type and set the "impactDamageScalar" on the cannon xml lower so the aircraft takes some hit to destroy
