This is pretty nifty, I like it!

@Stampede the U-2 CONUS MOB is Beale AFB, CA, near Sacramento. There's a detachment that also flies them from Palmdale, CA, but airplanes which undergo Phase Depot Maintenance (major periodic maintenance-takes place at Palmdale) fly from that location for their post maintenance Funtional Check Flight (FCF) then go back to their regular location at Beale.

@Stampede no, not classified. Just look it up

  • Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb trop 8.5 years ago

    Excellent work here!

    @Stampede there's only a single stateside location.

  • McDonnell-Douglas F-4E Phantom II REMASTER 8.5 years ago

@Command and Conquer role play and you can fly SP planes on that platform?

  • McDonnell-Douglas F-4E Phantom II REMASTER 8.5 years ago

@PyrusEnderhunter @Pilotmario how the heck are you wargaming these planes?!?!

  • Poll! 8.5 years ago

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. I was using a Logitech Freedom 2.4, but as it was wireless, it ate batteries and the connection was not reliable. The wired Extreme is much better at an affordable cost.

  • Kiwi Roundel 8.5 years ago

@DestinyAviation, yes I can. You realize it's going to be quite a few parts (I estimate 33-35 parts) and might be a tad bit heavy? Even with relative mass turned on in Fine Tuner, this roundel alone was, what, 32 lbs?

Also, do you want it one-sided? Or do you want it to appear the same on both sides? You might want to consider two options: If you go with one-sided, you would have to stick a flag on both sides of a vertical stab. If you go with two-sided (as my inference from your .25x.25x.75 request tells me), you could get away with sticking one flag on a standard .20 thick vertical stab and have it appear on both sides. I am not sure how heavy each option might be.

  • Smooth Movement? 8.5 years ago

@BaconEggs, any comments or input on how you make your airplanes fly like they do?

  • I'd like you to read this! 8.5 years ago

    @Stampede, a U-2.

  • McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II 8.5 years ago

Wow...59 upvotes, impressive, I see very few builds with that much acclaim these days!

    Hi, welcome back.

  • Smooth Movement? 8.5 years ago

@ShatSlanger @KDS @ErvenDynamics, I get it, but this is what I'm talking about, look at this build: F-12 ASP

  • Kiwi Roundel 8.5 years ago

@DestinyAviation will do, I'm not at my PC right now, but I should be able to produce one for you tonight in the correct dimensions.

  • Kiwi Roundel 8.5 years ago

@DestinyAviation, here you go. If you need it to be larger, please let me know.

  • A (Hopefully) Simple Request 8.5 years ago

@DestinyAviation ok, will post the roundels for you, I'm not at home right now, so it might be a few hours before I can get to it...

  • Tupolev Tu-104A 1956 (Updated) 8.5 years ago

Thanks, I'll take it apart to figure it out, nice job figuring it out in the first place!

  • A (Hopefully) Simple Request 8.5 years ago

I have one! For my A-4K which I haven't yet posted. It's green and black (low vis), but I'm sure I can make the more colorful versions if you need them. When you say less than .25 width, do you mean less than .25 thickness? Mine's paper thin...

  • Tupolev Tu-104A 1956 (Updated) 8.5 years ago

Have to ask: How do you synchronize the gear and the doors? Are you talking about adjusting the activation speeds? When I do that, either the extension or retraction is realistic, never both, as the gear and doors appear to collide either on extension or retraction...

  • Flying pancake (WW2 challenge) 8.5 years ago

    Well, at least you're honest...

  • Ultralight (Float) 8.5 years ago

Nice, I like the relaxed, slow-moving airplanes! The wing is really something with the camber and all, any suggestions on how to build it?

  • World war 2 challenge Fairey Swordfish II 8.5 years ago

Swings to the left on takeoff, like all good single-engine prop aircraft! Very realistic!

  • Antonov AN-2 8.5 years ago

  • Is there any mods for ios if yes there is any can u put a link 8.5 years ago

No...but there are plenty of parts modded on other platforms available under the "Parts" tag which work on iOS (collision turned off parts, insignia, modded guns/missiles, etc.). As for game Mods (Fine Tuner, Overload, anything under the "Mods" section), you're out of luck there as well as you cannot install on your phone. However, you CAN use parts modded by other users who've used these mods to change these parts, again, search the "Parts" tag. I was on iOS a long time and that's how I worked around this limitation. Hope this helps.

  • Bluejay FA-96-CA 'Arrow II' Colors 8.5 years ago

@TheBlueRobotProduct both, either, whatever you want to do or whichever looks coolest!

  • Bluejay FA-96-CA 'Arrow II' Colors 8.5 years ago

Nice colors, certainly eye-catching. Flies ok, very smooth, a bit nose-heavy, but nothing that can't be handled with trim, so, cool. Then I flew it on a speed run...seemed a bit slow at 800 mph in the mid 20s. I compared it against my F-4 build. Almost same weight (22,000 lbs) and drag (in fact, a bit more at 4,300 drag points vs. your 4,100) with the same engines. It makes 1200 mph in the mid-20s...then, I realized, your strangling your engines for air! If you want to go faster, use more and bigger intakes (to a point). If you don't, no prob as it looks pretty good as is! Nice markings, BTW!

  • Mod Request - Wing Guns with Zero Spread 8.5 years ago

@Joco80 thanks, but it's really not a problem to do it now that I know how to XML Mod files (this post is a few months old); what I didn't know until now was the fact that you have to declare a ".0001" value for the spread. Apparently, the machine doesn't like "0" for a bullet spread value! But, thanks, I do appreciate the offer.

  • Mod Request - Wing Guns with Zero Spread 8.5 years ago

    @Joco80 thanks, I'll try it

  • Smooth Movement? 8.6 years ago

@RedHawk yes, got it, but some aircraft are just preternaturally smooth, I think like @KDS says, MassScaling might have something to do with it.

  • McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II 8.6 years ago

    Nice Phantom!

  • Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe 8.6 years ago

    Very nice Schwalbe!

  • WWI Challenge SE5a 8.6 years ago

Yes, WWI aircraft are tough on SP, but nice build.

  • RBJ-108 8.6 years ago

    This one flies very nicely!

  • Junkers Ju 287 8.6 years ago

@AudioDud3 understand the frustration, Fine Tuner Mod (you can angle parts singly or in groups) can take care some of the issues you're experiencing. Plus, you're good enough to build your own markings (esp. w/Fine Tuner) that suit your size requirements.

  • Lockheed F-37A Super Viper+ 8.6 years ago

@MAHADI Thanks! Glad you like it.

  • Aircraft rotates when I pitch up and down? 8.6 years ago

I've encountered this many times myself. If your parts are attached to the wings, especially if you mirrored them to the opposite wing, the attach points on the two sides might be different, which can cause this asymmetry. I would detach the parts from both sides and re-attach them manually (it's easier than one would think to get them in the correct position), check the coordinates with Fine Tuner Mod to make sure they've attached at the correct locations, then nudge them exactly where you need them to go.

  • Junkers Ju 287 8.6 years ago

Nice, and agree with @Mahadi, you would get much more attention with markings and you definitely have the skills to put some on your builds.

  • P-61-C Black Widow 8.6 years ago

Well, I have to admit, this is beautiful! I wouldn't have used that background, though, as it completely distracts from your build and, frankly, you don't need it as the build is perfect!

  • this is just wrong 8.6 years ago

    Don't worry about it...

  • I suck at sp ! 8.6 years ago

@Kevinairlines agreed, much easier to adjust the size of the intakes. I had a similar issue with my A-4 build and I had to angle the fuse sections under the cockpit down a few degrees (with Fine Tuner Mod), resize a percentage or two and nudge to align the adjusted part...

  • I suck at sp ! 8.6 years ago

Would you like some feedback? Here it is:
    1. Outer wings need more dihedral
    2. Tail needs more anhedral
    3. the slender part of the fuse is too far forward, I would take it a whole section to the aft...in fact, I would think of it more as if the intake section is wider than the fuselage.
    4. Make the intakes taller, the cockpit is more "hunkered down" on the real thing.
    5. Sculpt the nose a little more.
Too bad I can't really see the main gear, look like they're custom. On the real jet, they're outboard the inner pylons, can't quite make out how spaced out they are here...
Save those minor tweaks, I think you're close...how does it fly?

  • Lycernia Corps. Lc-46A Nightstriker 8.6 years ago

    @Himynameiswalrus hmmm, fair enough!

  • USAF f-86 sabre 8.6 years ago

What was the problem with the landing gear?

  • Lycernia Corps. Lc-46A Nightstriker 8.6 years ago

@Himynameiswalrus not sure where you see F9F, all I see is Starfighter! Maybe in the top speed, it's not anywhere close to the F-104's...?

  • F-100 super sabre (jet bomber) Mk.2 8.6 years ago

Nice revision to your previous build...
