@BaconEggs
Thanks for checking the em charts though. I knew deltas had really poor sustained turns, but I've only flown straight and swept wings in DCS so I would know quite how bad it would be.
Great build though!
Everyone either says it flies great or terribly. I’m not familiar with the Mirage III or any Mirage, but I can grantee this is not how it would fly. I know the Mirage III is a decent fighter, and this has about zero engine power (although it is more realistic on takeoff then most SimplePlanes aircraft are) and at around 200-250knts it sit at around 5 degrees of AoA which is far too much. I would add more lift just to decrease the amount of AoA it flies at and how much it pulls when turning.
AND GUYS, DO NOT THINK I’M HATING
This is beautiful and the engine is awesome!
I LOVE the vapor cones or whatever you call it!
If you wouldn’t mind I would post a version of this with a few upgrades and I would give all credit to you!
@realSavageMan
Great build, I love it!
Just a few nickpicky things though. Typically the front seat is the gunner, I’m not framiliar with this aircraft, but I’m assuming this is the same. Secondly the rudder pedal are inverted. Really common mistake, the rudder pedals move opposite to a bicycle’s handlebars, and also the rudder pedals tilt forward for braking.
@ToeTips
I just looked at another Yak-141 build and I think I have an idea.
VTOL nozzles inside the aircraft over the CoM to preduce the thrust, and all other engines have powerMultiplier set to 0. Using a piston we can have another VTOL nozzle with powerMultiplier set to 0. The piston extends when the afterburner is on, making the exhaust from the powerless VTOL nozzle appear.
@ToeTips
I wanted it to work like it doesn irl, but maybe we can use the VTOL nozzles while still having afterburners.
I’ll make a post and tag you on it, it’s be our ideas board thingy.
@ToeTips
Or you could say, hehe, the PILOT’S seat.
Are you particularly good with vtols that operate like the Yak-141 and the F-35?
If you are maybe you could set up the main vtol system. I’ve tried before, but I couldn’t get it to balance very well. It was an tilting engine at the back and an engine point pointing down at the front to mimic how it works with real aircraft.
@PannerTerkins
Don't worry, I'll try to make one. Does the Yakovlev Yak-141 count as cold war? It was Soviet, and the fall of the USSR concluded the Cold War. (Soviet = from the USSR)
@hpgbproductions
The red label to the port side was just from the Walker, it doesn’t have any function, just so I could easily copy and past the cariables
@TheFlightGuySP
Yeah, two weeks ago, maybe more, all unlockable locations and all of the little green marks for things you have done were reset, it had to do with being signed out of my games or something yet I was still signed into steam, still haven’t fixed it.
@TheFlightGuySP
Nope, I’ve checked it against the stock aircraft such as the Wasp, copied and pasted the input, but as soon as I change whatever it says in the quotations, and no I didn’t delete them, it stops working. Only on mobile though.
For the Walker not working, that’s also all funky trees.
I think the Steam cloud whatever thing might have to do with the aircraft being deleted.
@Maver1ck
Set the throttle input to:
clamp01(Throttle > [THROTTLE % 0 BEING 0% 1 BEING 100%]) * clamp01(IAS > [DESIRED SPEED])
Everything in all caps and [] you type in to your desired throttle % and speed. You could use True Airspeed or Ground Speed instead of Indicated Airspeed, just set IAS to TAS or GS respectively.
@32
Smart
@jamesPLANESii not wrong one bit
Impressive, most impressive
But really, did you just make that in photoshop and slap it onto a disc holder thingy?
@ToeTips
YO
THIS IS NUMBER ONE ON HOTTEST
LET’S GOOOO
X
@ToeTips
Eh, it’s not going great
We haven’t texted in a while
@ToeTips
Thank you, kind sir.
(I guess I’m all fancy now)
@ToeTips
Bro how do you know?
This is exactly the same way I feel.
Same with when I get a text… especially from, koff koff
someone
@ToeTips
Give me EVERYTHING
I WANT TO BE TAGGED FOR EVERYTHING
I mean please
@ToeTips
It’s coming together
@BaconEggs
Nice
@BaconEggs
Btw if you don't mind I might upload WIP aircraft in the chrome style, it looks awesome
@BaconEggs

@ToeTips
Hey, still need some cockpits? I’m always open to help with cockpits.

@realSavageMan
It was called Pilot 1 and Pilot 2
@realSavageMan
Can’t wait to see this on the front page!
@realSavageMan
Great build, I love it!

@Ezbbmm2006
I know this is an old post, but if you need anything with the cockpit I can help!
Upvoted.
Hehe, builded
@ToeTips
Yeah
@ToeTips
Did you start on the model or should I?
@ToeTips

@ToeTips
Well I’m struggling a bit here, the testing rig just doesn’t want to work. Got any ideas?
So is anyone actually doing this?
We all know this is gonna make it to the front page.
@ToeTips
Here’s the post
@ToeTips
I wanted it to work like it doesn irl, but maybe we can use the VTOL nozzles while still having afterburners.
I’ll make a post and tag you on it, it’s be our ideas board thingy.
@ToeTips
I haven’t.
I’ll start working on a VTOL prototype system.
@ToeTips
@ToeTips
Maybe a Yak-141/Yak-41?
@PannerTerkins
Would it be possible to enter a collaborative build made by me and someone else working together?
@ToeTips
Hmm good question
@ToeTips
Sure!
@PannerTerkins
Don't worry, I'll try to make one. Does the Yakovlev Yak-141 count as cold war? It was Soviet, and the fall of the USSR concluded the Cold War. (Soviet = from the USSR)
@PannerTerkins
Not sure, I wasn't certain I was going to have time for it, but I'll try. I'll also give you an upvote and a spotlight :)
@PannerTerkins
Oh, you never said that. In fact there are no restrictions other than the deadline.
If you ignore the big goofy grin, it actually looks pretty cool
@TDevil36
Agreed
Why wouldn’t I choose the MOST AWESOME (and awesome looking) VTOL EVER?! THE X-32! And yes, I do think it cooks cool, but in a funny/stupid way?
@hpgbproductions
The red label to the port side was just from the Walker, it doesn’t have any function, just so I could easily copy and past the cariables
@LoneSpaceGaming
Also, could you teach me the ways of the fact fonts and whatnot on this wesbsite?
@TheFlightGuySP
This is the troublesome craft here:

@FolfAlpine
Could you post the link to the aircraf here, please?
@WinsWing
Correct me if I’m wrong, but woun’t that be only full or no power, atleast if you put the in “input”? Also, isn’t IAS in M/S in funky trees?
@Maver1ck
Set the throttle input to:

Right, the one on the left looks like a kinda bland box art for a model of that
