My dad was an aircraft mechanic before attempting at a pilot license. His dad owned an airplane and even earned money from it by doing the work on it himself and renting it to people. So he wanted to get a pilot. license. He helped a little with the "Spruce Goose". But he never was able to get his license. Because a company's improper equipment, he fell off of the top of a Boeing 737 while doing maintenance. He completly shattered his pelvis and the doctors said he would never be able to walk again. But a few years later and a lot of determination hes walking without a cane but still with FAA regulations, he will never be able to get a pilot license due to medication for his peripheral neuropathy from the incident. But he still has a nice life. And I've been wanting to get my pilot license so my dad can get his dream to come true.
