@Heroshua making a mobile friendly version of a plane is essentially just lowering the number of parts used in it.. this plane is already quite low in part counts so its already mobile friendly..
@realluochen9999 I added some rotations to the barrel. just point vtol upwards... Also I want your permission to use this design for my future contraption.. I like it because it is of the right size and weight for the thing I'm planning to create..
@LjSpike yep, now im back because I couldn't resist the temptation of the new beta.. And yeah, your plane's problem is its horizontal stabs are too small relatize to the size of its main wings
@LjSpike change all of your wing's airfoil to symmetric.. then make your horizontal stabilizers longer.. ditch the triangle shape pitch control and go for a more rectangular one.. remove every pitch control surface that is not found in your horizontal stabilizers.. remove every roll controls that is not found in the main wings because the one in the main wings is more than enough already.... if you follow these advice you plane should be more stable now albeit slightly nose heavy. from here you can fine tune it further to make it as stable as possible
@BaconAndEggs96 ... I do check this site and the reddit page very few times for any interesting news.. I just dont download/comment/post anything because I have no interest in playing the game.. (i've been around as one of the earliest alpha access tester so naturally my interest at the game waned over time).. And I didnt play SP again until just 4 days ago..
@PhilipTarpley, @AndrewGarrison, @WeeBabySeamus Thank you!! new stock plane vote is really nice! but this plane has a bit of part clipping and cockpit view is terrible..
lacks fuel... set your front canards to apply pitch instead of roll so that the plane can maneuver better... the plane is nose heavy so you set some front wings to flat-bottom and wings at the back to symmetrical airfoil
@SemedolasPT @SemedolasPT sorry for the typos its dark in my room and I cant see "P" so well in my keyboard... I dont remember to process in signing up for the beta group so I cant help you, sorry... and you also need to actually own the game in google play to download the latest beta
@SemedolasPT visit the Simpleplanes reddit page: www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/ ....the top thread should have instructions on how to get the beta uodate... to get the android version you will have to sign up to Simpleplanes Beta Group.... for oc and mac just download and install...
Hi! Do you have the Simpleplanes beta app? Im asking because I altered your plane to become a seaplane and it turned out really great!! (here is the pic: ---> http://i.imgur.com/Wag5sID.png the white parts are the new floater blocks.. I like how it flies so much that I want to submit it on the SP developers's challenge to create a small seaplane that will be included in the game next update (link to thread --> http://www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/comments/2vsz63/need_a_new_stock_plane_for_the_game_need_a_simple/)... but i cant because it is your plane not mine...
if you have the beta app please consider altering this plane to a seaplane (like what I did) and submit it to the developers challenge
@Zing2000 I was able to run SP on winXP before.... http://www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/comments/2ofemf/is_anybody_playing_simpleplanes_on_windows_xp/cmngdkk... this happened 2 months ago before the game was released on Android and iOS... I dont know what changed since then but its worth trying....
@Zing2000 Dont worry, Beta testing only means that players can test new features a bit earlier... The actual update will come next week or the week after
I want to see it fly like a blimp... remove all regular jets and some VTOL engines to make the blimp lighter.. remove fuels until its just enough for a few VTOLS and some props...balance the vtols well.. good luck!
@sicomit unfortunately, it doesnt work... the game still considers the wings to be physically "there" even if its control surfaces are deflected outwards... it a good concept at how bomb bay doors should work though!
the left nozzle is not attached, the left wing tips randomly move arround without disconnecting which makes the plane wobble around... while flying it yaws (not tilt) to the left a little bit (even after connecting the runaway nozzle).. I could see no problem with the CoM/CoL/CoT position so i think this plane got an error while uploading
@ElijtheGeat hehe.. its the first of its kind in beta.. now its just one of your regular planes... but this one is still one of my favorite planes i made
move your landing gears one block forward for faster take off... remove your little pitch control surface and turn your roll controls to pitch... after that add another a roll controls at the tip of your large wings then extend it towards your new pitch controls... (i hope I give out instructions clearly).... tada! your plane is now very maneuverable... but why did it become like that by just moving control surfaces? well, a flying plane is like a simple lever with the center of lift (CoL) as the fulcrum.. the farther away where a force is applied (your control surfaces) the more effective it becomes... (ps. im not a pilot or an engineer)
Its amazing! It is quite fast and have decent maneuverability and stability... I love designs like this because they yaw so well (yours might be a little too fast on the yaw)... one thing that irks me is that you have so much wings that can take care all you fuel need without using that external fuel blocks... also build your wings in two halves the first half is a big structural wings where you will hang all your engines, fuel, and other stuff you want on the wings.. the other half is a primary wing that will not have any fuel/anything hanging under it but will house you control surfaces... to better understand what i'm talking about please take a look at the plane i made a while back using almost similar techniques --- https://simpleplanes.com/a/07za77/Antonov-An-225-Mriya --- (its an old version but i think it still flies well)
remove the blocks at the tip of your wing... you dont need it because it just explodes right away at take off and prevents your aircraft from taking off earlier..
@BrainyDJ Great! i look forward on your creations.
@mustafanaveed thanks!
@BrainyDJ Yo!
@Heroshua making a mobile friendly version of a plane is essentially just lowering the number of parts used in it.. this plane is already quite low in part counts so its already mobile friendly..
I had the same concept for a folding turret in one of my contraptions.. great job!
@Me600 Its not really complicated. the hard part is getting the heli stable until it has gained enough speed so it can stabilize itself.
@realluochen9999 I added some rotations to the barrel. just point vtol upwards... Also I want your permission to use this design for my future contraption.. I like it because it is of the right size and weight for the thing I'm planning to create..

@realluochen9999 I have something for you.. please check your notifications
@PhilipTarpley Thanks!! and I have PM'ed some bug reports to you and all devs just now
Hello there!! I see you have 0 internet points so I'll give you five stars as a gift!! and thats a good looking plane (made by me...probably)
relative*

@BaconAndEggs96 i dont understand.. why do you find me creepy?
@FighterCrafter14 sorry I only play in PC
@PhilipTarpley, @AndrewGarrison, @WeeBabySeamus Thank you!! new stock plane vote is really nice! but this plane has a bit of part clipping and cockpit view is terrible..
@WalrusAircraft YO! glad to be back!
@Aviation try going here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/comments/3g66bs/simpleplanes_super_awesome_beta_tons_of_new/
LOL! you should use the new rotator parts to replace this tank's obsolete turret design
lacks fuel... set your front canards to apply pitch instead of roll so that the plane can maneuver better... the plane is nose heavy so you set some front wings to flat-bottom and wings at the back to symmetrical airfoil
I wont rate this yet because it lacks instructions

just four stars because it is flippy... please read this ---->

@Zing2000 download the one for windows if you have a win7 laptop\desktop

I bet this Geoff will love the floating blocks in the future updates!
too hard for me
I want to see it fly like a blimp... remove all regular jets and some VTOL engines to make the blimp lighter.. remove fuels until its just enough for a few VTOLS and some props...balance the vtols well.. good luck!
@YURI12138 and @YURI your names are very similar... its makes me go to suspicious mode...
its good! not the most balanced VTOL but flies great nonetheless....
its a good plane... your landing gears at the back should be behind the CoM (or that was intentional?)
@sicomit unfortunately, it doesnt work... the game still considers the wings to be physically "there" even if its control surfaces are deflected outwards... it a good concept at how bomb bay doors should work though!

it looks good!
I had one of these when I was a kid.. 4 stars for nostalgia

its amazing how it flies so well at very little speed
Thank you everyone!

move landing gears at the center just behind the CoM
sexy
Good job! a common behavior of trail daggers in this game is they veer off and tumble if they dont take off immediately.. yours dont so 5 stars!
you need more vertical stabilizers and probably some rcn too for maneuvering
remove the blocks at the tip of your wing... you dont need it because it just explodes right away at take off and prevents your aircraft from taking off earlier..
