@Graingy I got to say electric railroads in the US had the most disappointing downfall. Unfortunately I don’t got the time to really explain but it sucks. There was a ton of cool locomotives made during the timeframe electricity was a viable option and most are not even preserved. And the ones that are most are not even operational.

and i think you know what happened (rise of cars in the US and air travel, 60s was a total mess for rail transport in the US.)
