    @ChisP, I use the DesignerSuite mod over the built in one, just like any blueprint, prompt the designer suite tab on ortho and instead of blueprints, open view with the custom screen shots, keep the ortho view on when sharing amd just align the camera with the picture.

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @ACEPILOT109 I don't know, you're the designer, you know the intricacies of the interior of the aircraft but if I may, maybe a shoulder straight wing should suffice, since it t will be carrying heavy loads.

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @Vidal99977 that is quite the compliment considering users like qingyuzhou and bogdanx exists, thank you.

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER not sure how my replica of the current largest plane [747-146]flew over you, but thank you.

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @Mustang51 Well the livery took half a day, the plane itself was built on the span of one week, though didnt spent much time a day

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @Tang0five Ah, glad you ask. So what I do is instead of building a new cockpit, new fuselage, new interior, new engine, etc for a new project. All components from Altimeters, to fuselage sections, to interior components, are saved as in the Sub-Assemblies and with ease of manipulation in mind. The dashboard from the Caravelle has served the builds I have created many times, and the entire nose section is spliced from the Tu-104 project, and the wing assembly from the previous Tu-95MS project.

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @Tang0five many what?

  • Tupolev Tu-114D Qantas 1960 5.1 years ago

    @Mustang51 thanks, and for a half day build, that really means a lot.

  • Saunders Roe SR.45 Princess BOAC British Overseas Airways Corporation 5.1 years ago

    @Tang0five A Pan-Am livery would pan out the same, Its still a flying boat at the end of the day, or in the commonwealth 21:00 hours, because the day never ends.

    I suspect you are of UK citisen, if so, please tell the Queen to dissolve the commonwealth so the sun can finally sink at the shorelines of British Columbia, thank you.

    @Vukasin123king Landing Gear and Slides use the recent smooth system only found in update 1.9.203 and later. If your copy of simpleplanes is legit, update it, if its an APK, go find the latest version of it somewhere.

  • Saunders Roe SR.45 Princess BOAC British Overseas Airways Corporation 5.1 years ago

    @Zanedavid Then you should have seen the Bristol Type 167 Brabazon, practically double the fuselage as its 8m in diametre [citation needed].

  • Saunders Roe SR.45 Princess BOAC British Overseas Airways Corporation 5.1 years ago

    @ChiChiWerx Thank you for the insight. Umm... What or where is Platinum you speak of? Is it a different site?

  • Saunders Roe SR.45 Princess BOAC British Overseas Airways Corporation 5.1 years ago

    @VVMC you are most welcome, though alas, the YB-49 is out of my range of expertise, I did build two flying wings but the quality is ultimately garbage.

  • Saunders Roe SR.45 Princess BOAC British Overseas Airways Corporation 5.1 years ago

    @Tang0five lose faith while you can calmly still can, I am yet to see a Civil Plane or Airliner to be featured, let alone a flying boat. The Caspian sea monster doesn't count.

    @ACEPILOT109 Photographer here, whoever did take the shots, it is not necessary but a ground POV shot of about 1.69m above would be lovely, so it shows the scale of it from the view of a person. Bruh I would spotlight this but I can't.@asteroidbook345

  • Tupolev Tu-124V "Cookpot" Interflug 5.1 years ago

    Finally I get to spotlight your plane... It really is a great model. but why can I not spotlight it before? its whack.

  • Ngl... 5.1 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii, perhaps a sub-assembly could alleviate time spent on instrument creation.

  • Junkers Ju-390V Lufthansa 1955 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 what is?

  • Junkers Ju-390V Lufthansa 1955 5.1 years ago

    @Bird10 Thank you, glad you are appreciating my builds.

    @asteroidbook345 It's still in preliminary stage but USPS is what I plan for the Me264, though not final.

    @Trainzo Thank you, I do hope it won't be as disastrous as the JAL or BEA.

  • Andrew Garrison 5.1 years ago

    My thesis is that this problem only ensues after manually attaching parts with the built in attach thingy, and if the mobile cursor is behind the XML mod. when XMLing, set the mobile cursor aside of the will be window. And for the attach thingy, after manually attaching, double click the hand button to reset the cursor to be in the middle of the screen, this could fix the bug of having the finger also able to move parts, double tap or quadruple tap the hand button again just to be sure, and test in on a easily placed block like a tail assembly to check if it doesn't bug anymore. Always have the habit of double tapping the hand button to reset the cursor every now and then, to fix the bug and Always save even if one part was added.

  • Tupolev Tu-124V "Cookpot" Interflug 5.1 years ago

    this is some awesome stuff@asteroidbook345. I actually thought of applying Inteflug in the Tu-104 project since both Aeroflot and CSA already existed in simpleplanes.

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345, Forgive me for being harsh earlier, I really prefer for my projects to be a surprise after the Comet flop. And my initial assessment of the tu-114 fuselage is wrong, it is similar fuselage diameter, I guess you are right. Now of course since some people now know what I will publish next, the livery will be the least you will expect, to keep the surprise factor. He will not fly under Aeroflot's colours, or might.

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @Shippy456, Its for navigation

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 not to be rude but it would be nice not to mention any future builds I could working on, and no the Tu-114 is more obese than the 104.

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @CalebRepublic do what?

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @Trainzo no. Not sure

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 oh dear, sorry for that mini heart attack I induced. You need screenshots?

  • Tupolev Tu-104B Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie CSA 1957 5.1 years ago

    @CalebRepublic oh that would be something, but judging from recent trends, by year's end it woul be lucky to accrue 15 of them little buggers.

  • *Soviet Sphere of Influence intensifies* 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 you are welcome, now seeing it, the Cockpit design aint that hard. I could attempt building the Tu-104

  • *Soviet Sphere of Influence intensifies* 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 when will you release it? I'm so excited! Looks great!

  • Dornier do.31 E3 Bundeswehr 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 , Both are difficult aircraft to build, a reason.

  • First SimplePlanes video 5.2 years ago

    @Shnippy, This is something new. The format is not what I have not seen before or rather heard. You are literally the first user I know of to hear their voice. You could capitalise on plane reviews or a step-by-step build, hell even a mockumentary emulating Sir-David Attenborough's accent lmao.

  • de Havilland Comet cinematic trailer 5.2 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 I have built a tupolev plane and it backfired, I doubt I would be building anything soviet soon... Plus the cockpits are nothing I have ever encountered

  • Sud Aviation SE210 Caravelle III Air France 1958 5.2 years ago

    @asteroidbook345, I’ll consider it. I already have a build roster, but I think I could make space for it...

    @jamesPLANESii, Its still undergoing testing. My plan is an island chain or an archipelago. Alas, only one island is made...

  • Sud-Aviation Caravelle III Promo 5.2 years ago

    @Mostly I didn't ask, what do I do though?

  • Sud-Aviation Caravelle III Promo 5.2 years ago

    Whats up with the T's?!

  • Sud-Aviation Caravelle III Promo 5.2 years ago

    @BogdanX, It was thick by design, even checked the blueprints, it is thick. If I were to make it shaped like an aerofoil, it would jump the part count from 700 to ~900. I don't want another Yellow Download Plane. But I will consider it, for a Les Competence Edition (a version where all details out and in is accounted for, from dial digits, to cabin seats, to working doors, etc...)

  • Stop using Orthographic View in your screenshots. Plz 5.2 years ago

    It is hideous when utilised recklessly, but it works in specific angles where it makes it more appealing, and in the engineer's world, extremely useful when comparing paper to material.
