@BeryllCorp Regarding hinge rotators, that is the intended behavior. If you want them to not be stiff, increase their range of motion, but set their Speed to 0 (floppy).
@NumNumz This is exactly why we do beta testing. Please give me a link to a plane that behaves well in SimplePlanes v1.3, but is too bouncy in v1.4. It helps us tremendously to have these test cases.
I responded to you on the beta thread, but I'll paste it here too:
@BaconEggs The new wheels, pistons, shocks, etc all collide with the airplane by default. The only way to work around this is to XML-mod the new disableAircraftCollisions="true" attribute into the Part. Example:

@Gaben Okay, wow yep that's definitely a bug. I spent so much time today testing with other people's cars that I never pulled a new wheel out from the parts list. That's broken now. If you are using existing wheels, they should work as intended, but if you pull a new wheel out from the part list it's broken. Thanks for letting me know.
@TheCaptain594 @Gg1234 We do plan on doing a beta for iOS and Google Play. I'm hoping to start it next Friday if things go well. I'll try and get a signup going tomorrow or Friday.
@Typhlosion130 okay, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I can't isolate the suspension from the wheels. Wheel simulation requires a suspension component and I've never seen any implementations that can do without.
@DeezDucks I've had a lot of suggestions for it, if we have time I'd love to add it. Been busy just trying to get the wheel physics sorted out. It's tough!
We just pushed an update today. Please let me know if you are still seeing the issue. If so, would it be possible to get a video screen capture of this issue? Thanks for helping us test.
In the Steam client, right click SimplePlanes, go to Betas and then opt out. I would recommend backing up your SimplePlanes documents folder:
%USERPROFILE%\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes
Some of your planes may have had the xmlVersion number increased to 4 in their XML, and once you are back on the old version you can change that version number back down to 3.
For me the fix was to just disconnect those wing tips and reattach. I'm not sure how they got like that, but if you can ever find steps to reproduce the issue please let me know. Thanks.
@kikasshes I'll add the 0.25 length today. The circular fuselage pieces is a much bigger thing, not sure I will get to that. Does anyone like the behavior of Curved at > 2 diameter? If I were to do this task, should I just get rid of the existing Curved and replace it with Circular behavior?
@Planeguy102 @Johawks1976 If you have the game on the Mac App Store, we are providing free Steam keys if you can provide proof of purchase. Contact us at the Contact link at the bottom of the page.
Regarding the other platforms, we release on Steam first to get the bugs out because it's far quicker and easier to upload builds on Steam. We are already working on the mobile version as well, but it takes time to port the software to those devices and to work around app store review times.
@lemoose Yes, you will need to manually rotate those small rotators, but after you do that all should be good. Sorry about that, it's the only breaking change I had to make.
@Thefalloutplayr We completely replaced our input system, and I have not tested it myself, but I'm hoping it will have better support for keyboards and joysticks.

@SpiritusRaptor Ya, I only counted a bajillion.
@SpiritusRaptor nice!
@JovianPat sorry about that, we need to fix that. Should bring it down to 100% or less.
@Sutairs We only show beta builds to players who are logged in and have Show Beta Planes turned on in their Manage Account page.
@NumNumz This is exactly why we do beta testing. Please give me a link to a plane that behaves well in SimplePlanes v1.3, but is too bouncy in v1.4. It helps us tremendously to have these test cases.
@SimpleTechAndResearch I guess with our next game we'll have to pick a name that is less constraining....SimplePrettyMuchEverything?
@NumNumz Please give me a link to a plane that is bouncing too much. Are you saying even the old landing gear are behaving differently?
@Sutairs Okay, should be fixed now. Thanks for letting us know.
I'm looking into the issue now.

@Pyrofire7 This is for the new resizable wheels and you must have the newest version of the beta, v1.4.0.3.

@Gaben can you give me a link to your upload?
@Pyrofire7 Can give me a link to your car so I can test?
@kikasshes I'm hoping it will just help prevent it from catching by exerting a smaller force on the plane.
@TheCaptain594 @Gg1234 We do plan on doing a beta for iOS and Google Play. I'm hoping to start it next Friday if things go well. I'll try and get a signup going tomorrow or Friday.
@MoterKade Can you give us with your game's log file (via pastebin.com or dropbox or something similar)?
The game log file should be located here:
@kikasshes thanks!
Can you try reducing the forward friction on the rear wheel?
@Typhlosion130 okay, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I can't isolate the suspension from the wheels. Wheel simulation requires a suspension component and I've never seen any implementations that can do without.
@PlanesOfOld We will try and get some more info out soon about the mobile beta. We are shooting for next Friday, best case scenario.
@JMicah4 Okay. Please try using the new beta version (v1.4.0.3) and let me know if you are seeing similar things. Thanks!
@Mod okay, definitely increase your wheel suspension spring settings...those wheels are sinking into the ground!
@DeezDucks I've had a lot of suggestions for it, if we have time I'd love to add it. Been busy just trying to get the wheel physics sorted out. It's tough!
@Flightsonic No, they will only go through your airplane.
We just pushed a new beta today (v1.4.0.3), please let me know what you think of the changes.
@Seraphinium We are hoping to get a beta started on mobile end of next week, best case scenario.
We just pushed an update today. Please let me know if you are still seeing the issue. If so, would it be possible to get a video screen capture of this issue? Thanks for helping us test.
@JovianPat We are uploading a new build soon (v1.4.0.3), please let me know if you still see the issue with the floating suspension.
@DeezDucks Can you provide some more info on this problem? I want to try and fix this bug if I can but I'm not exactly sure what the problem is.
@WillB88 We are hoping by the end of this month if everything goes well

@BeryllCorp Thanks for the feedback!
@Mod I have all I need. Thanks for the upload!
@SpiritusRaptor Yes, unfortunately any beta builds that are using small rotators will need to be manually fixed. Sorry about that!
@prymz We are not running a beta yet for iOS. We are hoping to maybe start that next Friday.

@TheLatentImage Thanks! Good feedback. I'll think about how to incorporate that...could be tricky.
@Mod What is activation group 2 supposed to do? It appears to just be a self destruct button.
@Mod @AgDynamics You guys are amazing. Those vehicles are awesome! I'll see what I can do, maybe a traction slider is the way to go.
@Thefalloutplayr We completely replaced our input system, and I have not tested it myself, but I'm hoping it will have better support for keyboards and joysticks.
@BritishNarwhal Yes, unfortunately the wheel physics simulation we use must have built-in suspension.
@UnknownNate @Mod @AgDynamics Thanks for letting us know about the wheels. Please give me some links to your designs so I can test with them tomorrow.
Which rotator are you using? The old rotator, the new Small Rotator, or the Hinge Rotator?
@Nickasaurus Whoops, that was a copy paste error, I was just responding on a different post about someone with exploding parts.
