@TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie I mean using the @ symbol to mention users in a comment. You are misusing that feature to bring people to check out your planes.
Whoa! I misspoke! I did not mean mobile update this week. We may get a beta going on mobile in the next 2 weeks, but I meant to say the final release of the Steam version will be this week (hopefully).@JacobHardy64 @bskngshrk @Pyrofire7 @ACMECo1940 @Thefalloutplayr
If you own SimplePlanes on OSX, you can request a Steam key from us as long as you provide proof of purchase. Contact us using the link at the bottom of the page.
@NumNumz Thanks for the feedback. Can you upload one of your existing planes using the new version and show us the difference? We will see what we can do to fix the issue. It's tough though, because this is something that changed with Unity's shaders, so I'm not 100% sure we will be able to fix it.
Thanks for letting us know. I have removed your post, but we will deal with the situation. Please, feel free to contact us directly in the future instead of posting publicly like this.
@beatsphone1 @Skatexpro Build an airplane that meets the requirements of the tournament, and then upload it by clicking Share Aircraft in the Designer in game. Once it's uploaded, come back to this page and click the Enter Tournament button above.
Okay, guys I think I fixed it. I dug deep into my database development reference and found some tricks that I was able to employ to get the data back from the old backups. I think everything should be good now. Thank you everyone for sticking with us!
UPDATE Okay, I have been trying to restore the table from the database backup. Unfortunately the backup software we used is no longer compatible with the the database software our service provider is using. I regret to inform everyone that we will not be able to restore the upvotes or user points.
Everyone please visit this spreadsheet and write down your user name and the number of points you had prior to today. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.
@kikasshes Unfortunately, I don't think it will help you much in this case. The new wheels would mostly just replace the wheels you have in this design and all the rotators would still be necessary. We are adding new, smaller rotators though, so that should help some.
@SpiritusRaptor You are correct, your plane was definitely hitting those rings but they were counting as misses. I'm sorry about that, I have failed you as a programmer! That was an amazing plane and very clever to avoid putting any roll control surfaces on it.
@PlanesOfOld I will try and do a post Monday with an update. We are getting closer. Hope to start beta testing in a couple weeks, or less with any luck.
@SelectAKey The important thing is that the plane isn't deleted while the tournament is going. I was thinking about it and I could change it so that when the tournament is over, you could delete your plane again.
@intothewildblueyonder Twitch will be running during the entire tournament and we'll upload the videos at the end. We will not be doing commentary this time though.
@MrDoolittle The tournament is open to all players, so you don't need to buy the Steam version to compete. Of course, mobile users will be at a disadvantage since you can't test your planes on the race. However, mobile users have always been at a disadvantage in Mod Class tournaments, since it's so much easier to mod on PC/Mac.
I was beaten by a white level builder! Great plane, and congrats on beating me!
@TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie I mean using the @ symbol to mention users in a comment. You are misusing that feature to bring people to check out your planes.
@TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie You are a talented builder, but you need to stop misusing the tag feature to show everyone your planes.
Ok
@FrancoT Okay, just checking back, but you got a Steam key right?
The tournament code is not working today, so I'm going to take a look at it tonight and try this tournament again tomorrow. Sorry everyone.
@FrancoT My response time is a lot slower on the weekend, but I just responded to your email.
I love the attention to detail. I look forward to more of your builds.

Thanks I tagged this with bug and beta so I can check it out Monday.

Okay, thanks. I'll check this out Monday.
It takes a lot of work to bring updates to mobile, but we are working on it. We hope to have the update out on mobile this week.
Yes, it's Melvin from Dummy Defense. Not to be confused with that nefarious jerk, Kelvin.
Thanks for letting us know. I have removed your post, but we will deal with the situation. Please, feel free to contact us directly in the future instead of posting publicly like this.
@Tully2001 That should be okay if you are only changing position and rotation of parts.
Try putting "http://" at the beginning of the URL.

@BaconAircrafts That sounds interesting. Please send me a link to a plane using the Contact link at the bottom of the page.
@jamesPLANESii Yep the next update on mobile will have the Airplane Properties window.
@Thefalloutplayr Yes cockpit counts too.
So, in case you didn't notice, 17 parts, max.
@Thefalloutplayr I would guess another 8 hours or so.
@Thefalloutplayr No, he's not banned for all future tournaments. Just not allowed to enter this one. @Jasperjl
@WalrusAircraft It's available here, today only! Hurry while supplies last!
Reported. This is a copy of my plane.

@Warbrine Gotcha ya down.
@Walrus08 sure, got ya down.
@planepilot sure, i would go ahead and put in 1500, just to make sure you have plenty of points.
@planepilot Just make your best guess and then add a few hundred points as a buffer.

+1@Pink please stop spamming this forum post with memes.
Try renaming your Settings.xml file to Settings.xml.backup. You can find your settings.xml file here:
Also, try forcing your computer to use DX9, which you can find directions here.
@kikasshes We are hoping to start beta testing on Steam in the next week or two.

@kikasshes I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I'm afraid it probably won't.

@SelectAKey Unfortunately you can't remove a plane that has been entered in a tournament.
Okay, here's a poll if you want to vote on where the next tournament will be.
@AgDynamics i'm looking forward to seeing this thing in action!
@intothewildblueyonder Twitch will be running during the entire tournament and we'll upload the videos at the end. We will not be doing commentary this time though.
Beautiful plane. I'm always excited to get a notification that @WalrusAircraft have released a new plane.
@fishheads88 Nice.
@AgDynamics 19s?
Removed. Keep the airplane names clean, please.
