@UraniumOxide @Urya @Bishobe The update was submitted to Amazon on September 24th, but it is still in review. This is the longest we've ever seen an app take to pass Amazon's review. The current status says: "App Submission Under Review - The app submission is taking longer than expected to go live. Stay tuned for further updates."
@Alta2809 Smoothing enabled should only affect the craft while entering the flight scene and shouldn't have any impact on performance once you start flying around.
@Alta2809 Okay, so it sounds like you only take a performance hit when you are using the new glass part? Do crafts without glass have the same performance on your device as they did before the beta?
@Brields95 No, this beta just has a small number of changes because we are about ready to finally release v1.10. Ideally, each round of beta should have fewer and fewer changes as we get ready for release.
Yep, we released a new beta. This only has a couple of fixes. One is a fix for errors related to the cleaver and another makes it easier to pan around while taking screenshots on a mobile device without accidentally rotating the view.
Oh, wow, blast from the past and it's still hard to watch myself! I remember nearly laughing uncontrollably when the cameras started rolling and she went into her intro. Not sure why, it all just felt so strange to me and I've never been comfortable in front of cameras.....or really in front of people, in general!
Thanks for the video. I have uploaded a new beta to Apple that should be available in the next day or two. It would be great if you could try this again with the new version. When it crashes, please send us your log file. You can find it here:
Open your Files app and go to On My iPhone -> SimplePlanes -> player.log. If you submit a bug report, please email us that log file at beta@jundroo.com
If you find a bug, please submit a bug report here. The most helpful thing you can do is to describe how we can recreate the problem. The more likely we can reproduce the problem at the office, the more likely we can fix it.
Also, on mobile you can now find your log file which is very helpful for us for debugging. On iOS, open the Files app and go to On My iPhone -> SimplePlanes -> player.log. If you submit a bug report, please email us that log file at beta@jundroo.com. On Android, the process should be similar. Just open your favorite file browser app and navigate to SimplePlanes files and send us the player.log file.
Version 1.10.101 is now live on Steam and should be available on Google Play in a few hours and on iOS in a day or two. Changes are listed at the end of the main post above.
If you find a bug, please submit a bug report here. The most helpful thing you can do is to describe how we can recreate the problem. The more likely we can reproduce the problem at the office, the more likely we can fix it.
Edit: iOS is now approved for beta testing and should be available in TestFlight. Refer to main post above for the link.
First, back up any of your saved planes that you want to keep. They should be located here: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\AircraftDesigns\
Then, try renaming the SimplePlanes folder at this location to SimplePlanes.Backup %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\
@BMilan You’re getting a lot of errors related to your graphics card or your possibly your DirectX install. You should first try updating your graphics card drivers and if that doesn’t work then you might need to reinstall DirectX.
The log file in the appdata is the one you would want: %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\output_log.txt
You could also try renaming your Settings.xml file in that same folder to Settings.xml.backup and see if that helps. The next step would be renaming the SimplePlanes folder at%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo to SimplePlanes.Backup
I would recommend disabling all of your mods first to ensure they are not causing the game to crash. The easiest way to do that is to rename your mods folder temporarily. If that does fix the issue, then you can try copying mods back into the mods folder one at a time to indentify which is causing the game to crash.
@BASTYWITHAIRPLANES Well the good news is that it doesn't look like the XML file is corrupt, so there is some chance I could recover it. However, I will need to wait until tomorrow when I'm back at the office to investigate more. Did you hand edit or use Overload to tweak any of the XML? If so, which part?
It's unlikely they can be recovered, but if you send me the .xml file and the .bak file for your craft I can take a look to see if there's anything I can do. Send them to me at games@jundroo.com.
Check and see if there is also a file with the same name that ends in .bak. If there is, then make a copy of that file and rename it to Recovered.xml. Then open SimplePlanes and try to load Recovered.
We do care. When we are planning an update we do look at the suggestions to find those that are highly upvoted and that we could accomplish in a reasonable amount of time. We will also look at those suggestions if/when we decide to start working on SimplePlanes 2. As other players have pointed out we are currently focused on SR2 since we have promises laid out in the Early Access plan that we need to finish before we can fully release it on Steam. That, combined with COVID, we've been very short on dev time for SimplePlanes. I'm sorry you feel that way, but we are doing the best we can.
What kind of device are you using?
Can you send your log file to us at games@jundroo.com? You can find it here:
+1%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\player.log
@GeneralPatrick2 @UraniumOxide @Urya @Bishobe It should be available on Amazon now.

+5@Alta2809 Smoothing enabled should only affect the craft while entering the flight scene and shouldn't have any impact on performance once you start flying around.
+1@WarHawk95 This airplane is also blowing up for me in the non-beta version (v1.9.205).
@Alta2809 Okay, so it sounds like you only take a performance hit when you are using the new glass part? Do crafts without glass have the same performance on your device as they did before the beta?
+1@Alta2809 What device are you using and how much of a performance drop have you noticed?
+2@Brields95 No, this beta just has a small number of changes because we are about ready to finally release v1.10. Ideally, each round of beta should have fewer and fewer changes as we get ready for release.
+2Yep, we released a new beta. This only has a couple of fixes. One is a fix for errors related to the cleaver and another makes it easier to pan around while taking screenshots on a mobile device without accidentally rotating the view.

+30@Halodude117 I forgot to update the blog post, but the iOS version is now available. Sorry for the confusion.
+2@DeGebra What kind of device are you using? If it's a PC, do you have any mods running?
I went ahead and removed the beta flag for you so it should be good to go when you release it.
+2Thanks for the video. I have uploaded a new beta to Apple that should be available in the next day or two. It would be great if you could try this again with the new version. When it crashes, please send us your log file. You can find it here:

This will be possible in the next update. We have enabled support for the Files app on iOS, so you can access the exported files from there.

@HeathMathews probably 1-2 weeks
+1@Numbers If you open the About page in the main menu what version do you see?
@TodesschnitzelXD What version of the game are you using? What kind of device are you using? Have you tried restarting your device?
@LostCausesIncorporated What version do you see in the main menu About page?
@LostCausesIncorporated That bug should be fixed. What device are you playing on and what version do you see in the About page of the game?
@Kakhikotchauri1 I believe the trees become 2D sprites from a distance but turn into 3D models when you get close. Is that not what you are seeing?
+4Version 1.10.101 is now live on Steam and should be available on Google Play in a few hours and on iOS in a day or two. Changes are listed at the end of the main post above.
Are you using mods? It would be very helpful to get your log file after the problem occurs. What device are you using?
@PieroTheKing Which mods and what kind of device are you using? Can you send us your log file?
All thanks go to Nicky (@WNP78) for this update. He did all of the work and he even wrote the blog post! Nice work, Nicky!

@MadOfficer999 I'm glad to hear you were able to get it working. Thanks for following up with your solution too!
Okay, try this:
First, back up any of your saved planes that you want to keep. They should be located here:
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\AircraftDesigns\
Then, try renaming the SimplePlanes folder at this location to SimplePlanes.Backup
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\
Deep fake technology is so cool, but man that is so creepy!
+65@BMilan That's great! Thanks for following up and letting us know what the issue was.
@BMilan I'm glad to hear you have found a workaround! I really wasn't sure what else to try. Hopefully, they will patch those drivers soon!
@BMilan You’re getting a lot of errors related to your graphics card or your possibly your DirectX install. You should first try updating your graphics card drivers and if that doesn’t work then you might need to reinstall DirectX.
The log file in the appdata is the one you would want:

toSimplePlanes.Backup
@BMilan Can I get a log file after it crashes when you have all mods removed?
I would recommend disabling all of your mods first to ensure they are not causing the game to crash. The easiest way to do that is to rename your mods folder temporarily. If that does fix the issue, then you can try copying mods back into the mods folder one at a time to indentify which is causing the game to crash.
Please contact us at games@jundroo.com and if possible, please send your log file after the game crashes. You can find it here:
@TheSavageManZ It's been changed.
@QingyuZhou What do you want to change it to?
Wings no, helicopter rotors yes.
+17Okay, I was able to fix it. I emailed you the fixed XML. It was due to an invalid part connection as @randomusername suggested.
+2@BASTYWITHAIRPLANES Well the good news is that it doesn't look like the XML file is corrupt, so there is some chance I could recover it. However, I will need to wait until tomorrow when I'm back at the office to investigate more. Did you hand edit or use Overload to tweak any of the XML? If so, which part?
+1@BASTYWITHAIRPLANES Yes, I got them. I'll look at them now.
It's unlikely they can be recovered, but if you send me the .xml file and the .bak file for your craft I can take a look to see if there's anything I can do. Send them to me at games@jundroo.com.
+4You can check here for the XML file:
android/data/com.jundroo.simpleplanes/files/AircraftDesigns
Check and see if there is also a file with the same name that ends in
+3.bak
. If there is, then make a copy of that file and rename it to Recovered.xml. Then open SimplePlanes and try to load Recovered. One of the main reasons we explode a part is to hide its disappearance. It's a magic trick, but I can certainly see how it would be annoying.
+32@Diloph Please contact us at games@jundroo.com and I'll try to help.

+61@ThatsAHotTopic Try copying the URL of the airplane and then pressing CTRL+L in the SimplePlanes designer to load it manually.
